She was a receptionist in the hotel where Johny Walker and Guru Dutt were staying during the filming of the movie Mr & Mrs 55. JW suggested that girl to Guru Dutt and she was signed. Later that girl married a Russian and migrated to Russia. Sorry guys! 😆

Think of Madhubala and just one song comes to mind is the song from the movie "Barsaat ki raat". Picturised on Bharat Bhushan, singing on radio, and Madhubala, lying on her bed, playing with her dupatta and hair, when the song comes on radio, she drops everything and rushes to put her ear against the radio, just to hear the song more clearly and closely.

"Zindagi Bhar nahi bhoolenge woh barsaat ki raat,
ek anjaan hasinaa se mulakaat ki raat..."

And what about the song from "Gateway of India" again picturised on Bharat Bhushan and Madhubala "Do ghadi woh jo paas aa baithe, hum zamane ko bhool jaa baithe"

I love the song. I just wish Bharat Bhushan had some better expressions. I mean, Madhubala was in front of him and he could only keep his dead pan expression 😛

That maybe is understatement AD. That movie was just too good. Every song was excellent. SD Burman at his best..... Why it never got any award for music I don't understand till now.
