Anyone has information of how the finals will be? I mean what format? 3 hours live event sounds interesting. Sad that in Singapore we will only be able to see a week later.

The finals would have been interesting with Debo and Hema fighting it out...I simply cannot bear the Sonu clone and his nasal voice.

Before all this thing turns out be politics, lets be open about what this is. This is a singing competetion. Not a popularity contest. The lady who said, "We don't want it to be Assam's voice", was talking about any step motherly treatment to people from Northeast or to Muslims. She was only voicing her opinion that, even people in Northeast have to vote based on singer's talent and how one sang on that day. Not just because he is from Northeast or from Assam. If you look at all these newspaper reports, there are morchas and campaign to get more votes for Debojit. Before Mahesh Puri's heart goes all to people from Northeast, he should think whether these things done in Northeast are right. We are always hard on overselves and think about step motherly treatment to Muslims and alienating people from Assam but all we are saying is please vote based on singer's performance and not where he was born. We all understand Ismail Durbar's very patriotic saying Assam belongs to India. Yes it does but if you behave the way you are behaving, even if Debojit wins he is going to be tainted by all this saying that he won because he was born in Silchar. Never mind, he left that place long time back.

I agree with some of your thoughts. But if anyone is a victim in this tussle , that is Hema. His voice quality, singing talent everything is superlative, except for the fact that he got a mentor who was extremely biased. But , even his biasedness did not save him and he was victimized by the Debo, Vinit competition.

Vinit should have been nowhere near the finals, it should have been a finals between Hemu and Debo. I would say Hemo is probably a better singer than Debo, but it is hard to say.

But as some of you have mentioned, Vinit and his so called mentor( he can't be a mentor if he is encouraging all the wrong things in an upcoming artist (?)), should be shown the way. At least HR was given a nice lesson when Debo sang the song Saathiya to perfection, he had to give him 10, at he had the decency to.

But definitely the finals should have been betwwen Debo and Hema.

Mohanhedge, with due respect to your sensibilities, do you think Vinit is a better singer than Debojit? If you are taking about regional voting, why don't you ask first as to why Uttar Pradesh is voting more for Vinit???
