well i liked your analysis, but somewhere what u missed is , the trend of bollywood movies, and that is going to decide who will win.

1. Today all the subject on which bollywood are movies are made are totally different. There is no scope of intense music untill and unless you are making a period film.....

2. Now a days a singer's personality is equally important as his/her singing skills.

3. it is going to be dominated by more and more hip hop or compostion where background music will overshadow the real song.

so folks, things are going to be tough for every body and every body had to have a good PR Skills..dont laugh at me, but this will be really important as there will be so many good options available that other things will come into picture...

my predictions( in terms of success) for coming three years, not more than that..

1. NIHIRA
2. VINIT
3. HEMA
4. HIMANI and DEBOJIT
5. SHARIB and UJJAINI.
6. PARESH and TWINKLE

note, VINIT has already sung in few movies and u never knwo about HR. His stars are in his favour. and if one of them turn out to be song like "aashiq banaya" aur " bheege hot tere", you cant stop him...others are yet to receive any offers.the predictions are only for 2-3 years.. after that it will be time for next sa re ga ma contestants...jsut imagine after 4 years there will be so many contenders...beleive me , mark me, after few years it will not be only just music which will make u successful.

bilkul sahi farmaya uselogic...
else Jatinlalit wont be out of Job, ID wont be left with handful of movies while HR has more than 35 movies in hand...
but then ant always lays more eggs than hen.
I agree PR plays a big part in promotion & this is where I fear for Nihira..

you are right to an extent, but tell me how many songs does kunal ganjawala sing? agreed a bheegay hoth tere becomes a super hit today, but still most prefer to listen to a sonu nigam's tere liye hum yun jiyee or kashto maza hai railaiy mein. even sonu's adaa from garam masala was a hit, it effectively means that yes a kunal ganjawala's bheegay honth or an himesh reshamiya's aashiq banaya can be the flavor for a few weeks or months, but the true esscence will always be a melodious talented voice.
flavors change by the week, essence is forever.

okie , there are some body who are born lucky and their word of mouth appreciation will supress all PR skills..people with such luck are rare and NIHIRA will be one of them....though she will not have any postive PR but she will also not have NEGATIVE PR.. To add to it she has tremendous potential ..and combining all the factors she will succeed..

for coming two years, it will one and only HR. closely followed by ANU MALIK.....there will be few more like vishal shekhar pritam and gang...

ofcourse ARR will also dominate.. the good thing about ARR is that , one out of 10 films made in bollywood are copied from south, story to story, scene to scene and music to music...So even if we doesn't get many chances in bollywood , fortunately some of his south movies will be copied and that will compensate.. ARRehman is what we call in hindi " lambi race ka ghora"..by saying all these, let me say ARR is in a different league all together....

SONU is in different league..........dont compare him... he will be there for ever... you will not believe "ABA" sold more cassettes than " 1942..a love story".....

ONE more thing " 90% of the all the new singers today " will have very very less life time"...no will survive for more than 3- 4 years..they will come , make a huge impact, and they will disappear........come on we dont have to predict , you can look at west and that is what goign to happen.....

u dont need a good face for playback, sonu does pop music too so it helps him to be good looking.

Nice Post, Niraj! I agree with you on most except one thing where you said Nihira was superior technically to Shreya Ghoshal.. 😉
As for the singers future here, I see only Nihira making it big. Hema will have a future primarily in the south film industry going by the trends shown in the voting.
IMHO
