How did i miss this post???U r totally right,i also think so.

Now Sharib & Hemu r good at base & Himani can sing those fst & peppy ones better,Debu have 2 improve a little bit but he has a voice like Kumar Shanu,it suits everyone and every song.

Nihira is sound in tonal quality, training as well as good in pitches,so she can sing with everyone. It sometimes happens that the male singer has much high pitch tone so the female singer cannot sing with him,as e.g Rajeev, but that's not a problem for Nihira, maybe it can be a problem for Himani,i fear.Hemu is suited 2 more of soft romantics and Sharib will be best for Qawalis and Sukhwinder type songs.

So,i think everyone would make a mark,but u're right,the've 2 compete with everyone.😊

As the closing of much stretcheeeed SRGM comes near, it's time to look in retrospect.
First of all, if Hemu is out, it is very sad, he has a rich voice & riyaazi awaaz, he has given innumerable good performances & has been fairly consistent, one of the few times when he didn't shine was when he attempted Kishoreda's songs, in my earlier posts I've clearly said that Kishore da was a genius with a voice quality that won't be heard again, who ever attempts his songs is bound to be criticised eg. Saptak, Rajeev..
IMHO, Chandu has nothing to worry, he has been noticed by composers from all over & he should be rained with offers.
One thing which I noticed in his singing ( when he was singing bachna e hasino, or was going on higher notes in the taan of wo lamhe wo baatein) is that his voice still needs to break and thats why he went thin at higher notes. But no denying that he has tremendous potentials, he sounded sensational at low notes...more he goes towards C, D, better he sounds.

All of them will have to compete against much established singers, eg the best of the best Nihira also has Shreya/great Alkaji to compete with, but her technical superiority puts her far ahead.
Himani certainly needs to diversify, again she has to compete with Richa Sharma & Sunidhi, both of them are technically strong.
Vinit needs good guidance terribly: he copies Sonu all the way..
If Sonu succeded then following could be the reasons:
1. there was a void after Rafi saab, preious clones like Mohd Azia failed
2. Sonu branched out & diversified
3. Sonu is technically very good.
Vinit needs to come up with better potentials than Sonu if he wants to make a mark.
Sharib is one great singer with extreme potentials, with strong classical base & fire to diversify, I really want to see him singing, I notice that he sang many songs in a diff way & turned them to his advantage.
As far as Debo is concerned, he is quite good but needs to be more consistent & shed his nrevousness, he has age on the wrong side & needs to make a mark & real fast. Bollywood doesn't have time for mistakes..!
Rajeev & Paresh who came in top 12 need to start with swar alankaars in drawing rooms, they need to be trained, geniuses like Kishore are very few in this world.
Both Ujjaini & Raktima need more training, eventually they will be competing with Nihira/Shreya. Ujjaini needs to control her damsell in distress attitude, but they are quie young& this is greatest advantage with them. Ujjaini already is singing in Fanaah for Jatin-Lalit. I think this song has got recorded & ready to hit stores.
Ive discussed Twinkle in ample in one of my previous post.
My say: from this point onwards following are the singers who are ready to rock & roll:
Nihira, Shairb, Hema & Debojeet.

Very good post. 😊 The truth is they all have to compete with established singers.

Somehow I feel that Paresh's voice quality is very superior to any other contestant but he needs to learn music before he gets a chance to sing in a film. He has a very soothing voice.

Himani reportedly has been flooded with offers, she was bragging about it to reporters.

I dont think UJJAINI and RAKTIMA will have a hard
time in the future . Because they are bound to sing in Bengali Films and
local functions here in CALCUTTA.SAPTAK got out in the first round but
his demand has rocketed skywards after SAREGAMAPA .I think he is busy
organising functions all over CALCUTTA and has released personal
albums in Bengali as well .Oh and BTW all his songs have become very
popular in WEST BENGAL.Besides , I think he has made quite a fortune in
these past 6 months. He does one function in about two alternate days
and he charges Rs. 20000/= for each function. So 15 x 20000 = Rs.
300000 per month and that too is excluding the money he charges for
singing in films and the contracts with different channels . Not bad eh.So I
would not exactly say that they are going to have a tough time ahead.[/

saptak? Your kidding? Maybe he did not shine when I saw him on SRGM.
But good for him. Maybe he can take Keka along with him on the ride.

Paresh should immediately be placed as an MTV VJ ala Sophiya. Or he can
host a musical quiz show like Taal, Maal ka Sawaal (one of Shaan's early
gigs!)

This guy is a star if not a great singer!

I think that whatever the flaws of this farce of a contest -- it has given
incredible exposure to these contestants so let's hope that they wlll go
far. I see everyone of the finalits going somewhere in a way that past
conestants who were more talented did not.

In the US, Rajeev woudl have his show on the Food Network -part singing,
part cooking.

I see Sanchali, Ujjaini, Raktima, Keka, having a shot a full time music
career in playback and performing in Kolkata and then making the leap to
national prominence.

If Swananda was in India she would have more scope

Possible good futures: Himabindu, Vinita, Manjeera, Anadita, Supriya?,

No comments on Joyeeta?

Hey Dilshaad works as a singer.

I heard Jolly Das (did not even make it into a gharana) is on II 2.

Aishwarya needs a teacher.

Where is Nanu?

Where is Sanchari?

remember when HR said that he was counting on Bhumik?

thanks niraj for making this topic. I have enjoyed myelf way too much
here!
