Nice post Neeraj and perfected by Uselogic, obviously...
But feel very sorry even to accept this trend that Talent taking slightly back seat and showmanship and marketing skills are steering the wheel.
Hope it does'nt continue this way for long and wish soon the industry get back to good old days of Talent & Humility.

GTFP Sorry..........

there is no need to sorry, the article by you deserves a GTFP...

I was looking at Indian Idol, was suprised to see amey and meenal were in bottom three and ravi, was thorugh.. We can debate for ages whether amey or meenal has talent , but the song they sang was really good , and how can they be in bottom three.. This is the hard truth..This is where we are going...i fele really sorry...amey said the perhaps public doesn't like the song he sang ( he sang a beautiful MD. Rafi number) and they want more hip and hop...to that sonu said, i dont buy that and he beleives there are so many people who appreciates good music..

I dont agree with sonu, there are crores who appreciate good music but i am sorry they don't vote. So just appreciation doesn't help. SO is the solution, all good music lovers should vote in large numbers? The answer is no, as that will never succeed. The only way is to stop public voting.

I was listening to Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, interviewon Q TV. All aspiring writers, watch this tv for two hours , you automatically will improve ur urdu language :). Though it is a strictly religious channel, but i only concentrate on the words used. Coming back to the interview, it was such a good interview.. He was naming few ragaas and literally singing them, to tell the differences. MAn, he knows every thing about music.. He is singing and demonstrating that how a rajasthani folk song is renditioned, how a punjabi song is renditioned. He said a very important thing , that all punjabi songs ( folks or normal) are all based on rag Bhairavi.. And he sang it and showed it. He said that 90 % of the people there in punjab actually dont know about it.

Why did i bring this topic? This is because, he had put hours and hours of riyaaz and study to come to this level. How many of current musician can show that devotion. He said that the herat beat of world has increased, they have become impatient and thats why it is reflected in today's music..So true, look at us we are loosing our patience. Any topic which says "breaking news" or " result is out", get maximum hits ,,and good music article get so less hits ( may be repeated hits by same person).. see we can't even wait for 4 days..we all want things to be quick..imagine HR has 35 movies, how can u expect good music from him..

Okie enough gyan...it is easy to say and difficult to follow. you know in japan, if the workers had to strike they do it in a different way. for example, in a shoe company, to show their protest, they started making only right foot shoes, for two weeks. and when they reached a settlement with the management, after two weeks, they started making the left foot shoes.. SO after 4 weeks, they met their target of shoes and their demands were also met, if not fully. this is called innovation..one thing every one should agree that , public votind should be banned but at the same time , we need to suggest a differnt solution which will take care of their financial aspirations......................

any innovative idea?
