Hi All,
This is my first post in this forum and I must say I was utterly disgusted with yesterday's program.

Vinit, Hema and Himani behaved as if they are already established stars. They should learn some lesson or two from Shaan who inspite of being a star is so humble.

I don't understand why Debojit is getting victimized, his state's people love him and thats why they are voting for him. If the other contestants could not garner so much support from their home-state, then its their problem. When Hema got 40% votes from the south noone raised their voice.

If getting votes from your own place is an issue, then at the beginning of the show they should have declared that home-state votes are not going to be counted. Assam's people have all the rights to vote for their favourite candidate.

One lady mentioned this is not Assam's voice, this is India's voice. Doesn't she know that Assam is an integral part of India.

I've seen all the contestants asking for votes in their regional language. Then why do they have problems if Debojit is getting votes from his own state. Its perfetcly legal as Zee TV allows multiple voting.

North-east was always neglected by the centre in terms of development. They hardly have any celebrities, so through Debojit they want to live their dreams. I don't see anything wrong in that even though I'm not from that region.

If one of the three contestants Vinit, Hema and Himani wins then take my word they are going to be tantrum throwing celebrities. In my opinion, ZEE TV should not pamper them and they should be shown the door. Call the next three candidates and continue the show like any other game. If one of the contestant is retired-hurt or injured the next contestant is called upon. This is the rule of all fair games.

So, my earnest request to all - VOTE FOR DEBOJIT. I really think he is a very good singer and has the potential to make it big.

He doesn't copy anyone like Vinit who copies Sonu Nigam all the time.

Thanks,
Horse_rider.

Well friends,

I also agrees with Mr. Vijay that we witnessed too much HIGH Drama on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 today.

One thing is clear from this drama that these three were overconfident ,but the time Debojit was in, the fear overlaped these three of being out .This is the shame on their part, one thing Idon't understand where that emotions has gone which they had shown through their tears throughout seven months. It were only crocodile tears.

Actually the system of voting is wrong ,there should be judges only who should decide because most of the public is not serious while voting & not everyone understands intricacies of music.

Cheers,
Umesh

NOTICE HOW THERE ARE NO MAHARASHTRIANS LEFT IN THIS ENTIRE FARCE..
NO CANTESTANTS (SPELLING INTENTIONAL) FROM THERE
NO MENTORS OR TORMENTORS FROM THERE
ONLY THE PLACE IS LEASED IN MAHARASHTRA
AND EVEN THE FELLOW RUNNING IT IS NOT FROM THERE
HE IS MERELY HIRED TO CONDUCT IT
AND TOO, THERE IS NOT SHORTAGE OF GOOD IMPARTIAL MUSIC PUNDITS IN MAHARASHTRA
KNOCK OFF PUBLIC VOTING
AND ENGAGE ONLY THE EXPERTS FROM A NEUTRAL STATE
THEY WILL VOTE FAIR ..
TRUST ME
THEY WILL CARRY THE PRIZE TO DHAAAKEY COLONY IN ANDHERI WEST BOMBAY TO THE FINAL AND TRUE WINNER .........
GUESS WHO????????? NJ

Talking rationally ? Well I am sure we have no choice...

Rationally, I agree

1. Walking out on part of Vinit & gang was uncalled for.
2. The format of the programme has been designed in
advance. You cannt wake up to this reality now &
complain.
3. Debojit actually sings well ...certainly nothing
wrong in his reaching to this level .

4. I don't know what value add Vinit's topi was doing
in his singing. All that pampering by Reshmiya ,
floating his love stories, creating an icon of
him...I think that was far from music.

Going a step further ( more rational )

1. The conduct of even the judges was not up to the expectation. You don't expect Mr Reshmiya to shout the way he was...Mr Darbar walking out....

I was expecting judges to pacify the participants & make them participate in the true sense of a competition

2. I don't know if this was " set up ". After all u generated 8 Milion votes. This translates to few crores rupees. People like me, who normally don't vote were incited / cajoled to vote for Debojit. Though it was sounding genuine, it reminds me of all those WWF fights.

3. I agree that multi voting should not be allowed.

4. I am not sure if voting at all should be allowed to decide the best singer. After all u are not deciding on the best pop singer ( on lines of Sony ). I respect this programme for quality of singers. But that requires judgement from qualified people ( read judges from industry who have formal training )

5. At best it can be a mix of the two ( Voting + judgement )

I am not sure if the walk-out of the contestants was orchestrated...we'll never know that. But my point is that "mindless voting" should stop. I am tired of hearing contestants saying "Pleeeeeease mujhe vote dijiye" and worse still I see red when I see Hemachandra asking for votes from the South, Debojit asking for Assam and Bengal to vote and earlier Paresh was asking Gujaratis to vote.

I will never vote for someone just because he is from my state or region! I just want to hear good music, plain and simple.

Gajendra Singh should ask the contestants to refrain from asking for regional votes, then I would really appreciate the programme as being a cut above the rest.

My suggestions in pointwise format:
1)Public voting should be done only until the final 12 contestants are selected.
2) The final 2 - one male and one female should be decided by a panel of judges consisting of eminent musicians.
3)The judges should give a rating from 1 to 10 on various aspects of a rendition

oh, I forget the regional part.

It started from the day Raktima was eliminated. The reason which Shaan (or GS) gave was that both Ujjini and Raktima are from Calatta, so their votes might have split. and Raktima had to leave. and from that day on, all the contestants used to force their homeground to vote for them.

It was not Debojit who started it. it was already in the scripts of the show.

A comment one lady made in the episode that they want a voice of India no Assam. Ask her, where is Assam??? Why wasn't their any shor sharaba when others were getting high votes from their homeground??? why only point fingers on Debo?

In conclusion, this all walking out was bad decision which showed us, that those three don't trust their talents and have no trust in themselves and in God.

Good point , your question to that lady is very good. I would like add one more thing some are dragging ULFA's name for debo's top one rank ,in that case shall we bring naxalites of andhra when Hema was top one [a few weeks before]. what is all this nonsense politicising the show by bringing these organisation in this show.

At this stage public voting shd not be discontinued . It shd carry on as the mess already made and good singers were out . so no more suggestion on changing the system now. let it continue as it is .hardly three are left now.
