Hello Friends, I have a total different view on this whole issue of High-drama shown live on Zee. First I am sure that this whole problem is linked with adoption of Guru-ism of participants, so as almost all the judges are making it personal issue that their pupil must win;and Mr. Himesh, and Mr Darbar have succeeded to influence people and make public think that Vineet is Star and same is the case for Darbar-Nihira.
I am sure that whole drama was pre-planned and Mr. Himesh is story-writer of this episode of quitting.

Now I strongly suggest that producers should accept their (trio's) resignation and should appoint the Runners-up respectively, and should continue this proggamme.
one should not forget that only one can be first in any race, and defeat should be taken as defeat.

I am really amazed that all the three (Hemu, Vinit, and Himani) should have realised that they are already/ NOW WERE star, and only due to personal geatification of couple of Judges they I am sure have ruined their bright future.

One more thing here;: to Mr Himesh- Sir, I am really sorry to say that I personally dont think that you have something good of Goddess-Saraswati to make Yourself a good singer, and as you have clearly shown favour to Vinit, You are not liable for a Fair Judge.
No Hard Feelings to Anybody.
Freinds if You agree with my view please write something in favour of me.

The incident has forced me to be a debojit supporter!!n i'm sure there are many others having a similar change of mind.
SO much for the walkout.
I have never voted for anyone nor am i going to bcoz i don't believe in the system. But i've always appreciated the quality of music on the show.
The emphasis laid on REGIONALISM in the show can be described in one word DISGUSTING!!
Everyone is playing dirty games so why are all fingers pointing to debojit is unexplainable..
Anyways, all ppl who voted 4 any of the threesome so far are certainly going to stop.
Ppl who voted for nihira maybe dissapointed but she did not let them down. These ppl will always look forward for her album/shows.
I'm not so sure about the supporters of the others..

First of all, the show is ruled by the audience votes, this is a system the SRGMP ppl have themselves started and now by complaining over votes, it all makes no sense.
About regionalism, who started it all? First the contestants were always told "aapke sheher se itne % votes mile hain etc etc" regionalism started right here! No wonder ppl started voting for their regional candidates to make sure they win.

Though there r still lots of ppl sensibly voting for the right candidate based on music only, is this so hard to believe?

Debo is a good singer and he's come all this way b'coz he can sing, why have ppl forgotten that and such a feedback from his fellow contestants gives an impression that they donot respect his worth as a singer which is unfair.

I feel all this is Aadesh's doing. First he gives a 6 to debo's performance so that he could mould public's mind into not voting for him and now that debo's got max votes Aadesh's plans have failed and he egged the participants for this walkout.

This is just what 'I' feel, whatever the truth is lets hope the show is not flooded with politics and we get our rightful winners peacefully. This drama will get the show nowhere except raise the TRPs for sure but its not any worth as far as music is concerned.

Whatever happened is done. Things will never be back to normal betn Debo and others. Hope things dont get any worse than they r now!

hey u said it all......this was what i felt too.....even i doubt AADESH.....he is the main culprit behind all these crap things

The suggestions I gave regarding a new format for Saregamapa was for implementation in the next Challenge i.e 2006/2007. Gajendra Singh should learn from the mistakes made in 2005/2006. SRGMP has the potential to be a much better programme.

Public voting should be done ONLY until the last 12 contestants are left. After that a jury of eminent musicians should take over. And the judges should make public their ratings on different aspects of the contestant's singing. To me this looks like the best way to reward real talent.

Ok here is my opinion: it is not intended to cause offence to anybody, I am merely just stating how I feel about this situation...

Firstly, SAREGAMPA was the main reason I subscribed to Zee tv: I am an ardent bollywood music lover & I am a musician myself (I play the piano, keyboard & use to play the recorder). I am almost in similar position as Paresh was: an NRI who is also Gujarati.

When I started watching Challenge 2005, firstly I assumed all the rounds would have a similar format to those of Golden Voice Hunt and World Series etc, so I too was confused to see a different format being used. But with the help of the mentors and judges, it was clear to see all the contestants were benefiting from this new format. We have to remember also that the mentors themselves are extremely busy people: they are giving their precious time to help train their contestants and should be appreciated for this.

As for this walkout: these are my own opinions. Not intended to hurt anyone at all.

Firstly, I believe it all started w/Ismail Darbar leaving the show: he was unhappy that Nihira was ousted even when he always said Himani was the clear winner. (Make up your mind sir!) Secondly the fact that Debojit got low marks also did not help (but I believe just because he has sung well in 2 performances (the song from Padosan & Jhumroo), does not mean he should be winner, all the other contestants have been v.consistent w/their performances) - but I feel another reason for this was that he needed to sing w/music & at this stage of the competition, he shouldn't have had to use it...if he really is that well trained. The other mentors took advanatage of this and marked him low.

Secondly, it appears that the contestants also thought Debojit got "sympathy" votes from his home town, which was why he got max% & they decided to walk out....on Aadesh Srivastava's say. Who in turn, made everyone think that Himeshji had caused the walk out - when he in fact respects Ismail Darbar greatly and would not have the courage to do something like that...

I have always thought that SaReGaMaPa was a class above the rest of the other talent shows on Indian Television: the standards have always been much higher. I seriously believe that Public Voting has bought the biggest disappointment to the show: especially when talented singers such as Sharib & Nihira are voted out who should still be in the competition.

Anyways....let's put all this nasty politics aside and see who will be declared as the final winner of 2005.

Just my 2cents.

Public voting is not the way to select the best. Was Hemani not better than Debojit in the last perforamance?

My thinking is that it is not the question as to whether the rule to allow the public to vote is right or wrong. It can only be right when the public is qualified to do so. My thinking is that, they are not qualified and are not fair. There is something drastically wrong with the system and the people who vote.

Following the rules is not the right way to look at this issue. The issue is wheter it is morally right or wrong. Morally wrong legislation and rules should be opposed at any cost. There is no point in participating in a contest if the "rules" turn out to be not only against you but the results show some form of favouratism.

I am disgusted with the voting system. Ask the Gurus
(Mr. Adesh Srivastav, Mr. Himesh .... and Mr. Ismail Darbar, whether the voting was fair? Were they shocked? If yes, then something needs to be done, as from the last episode.

I agree with another contributer that the Zee TV or whoever is concerned, seem to concentrate and continue with the money-making scam of public voting. I agree with him that a Jury of about 15 knowedgeable "sangeet na baadshaah" should be set up. The jury should exclude all Bollywood actors and actresses (the Bad Man of Bollywood was the worst)and so too the likes of people who say that the contestant does not know how to hold the mike.

Recently, we had the Bombay (Mumbia) Marathon. Pardon me but it seemed as if it was the Bolywood Marathon. In the News Bulletin on ZEE TV, the winners seemed to be Bollywood stars (where most coverage was concenrated, rather than the athletes from Kenya and Ethiopia, who got the least coverage.

Zee TV wake up, your credibility is at stake.

I haven't seen this episode as I'm in UK, but have read a bit in the SRGMPa forum...I think the point you have made about 1 person 1 vote is extremely valid and this is something that the makers should concentrate on should they continue with the money-making scam of public voting...Another option is to get a jury of about 10-12 "sangeet na baadshaah" judges (even from the ones that have already come) instead of the other celebrities that know less than me about music, and let these judges make the right decisions...jujst my 2 cents...

Hi Folks!

The sify voting site now has Vinit, Hemachandra and Himani and does not have Debojit.

Does anyone have a clue what happened?

Looks like another twist in the tale to me.

Thanks

I guess Debojit walked out.. who wants to be with bunch of losers who cannot respect the format of the show and the talented mentor Ismail Darbaar. And there is no joy in winning by default rather then winning after fighting for it. If that is the case that Debo has left the show.. tonight's episode will be the last one i watch of Saregamapa ever!!
