It is rather shocking to hear that Paresh sang better than Lucky Ali. This song was a masterpiece by Lucky Ali. I felt that Paresh was losing his sur on a few occassions and sure he also lacked the feel that the song deserved. I was shocked by the rating that he got. He sincerely did not deserve more than 8 for this. On the other hand, Ujjaini sang way better and she got a very poor rating from Aadesh. Was he not listening carefully to the two singers or was he lost in his own thoughts.

Actually, I think that Paresh did sing the song better. Lucky Ali was a bit
besura and IMO is not a good singer. He does not sing in tune. Now, I have
made that same statement about Paresh but this time, he was acutally in
tune. I have a DVR so I will check again, but I did not remember any besura
parts. It was like he was a different person.

Separately, I do think that AS and other music directors do not respect Lucky
Ali. I know that his besura singing was brought up before.

If someone has any doubt about Lucky Ali the they definetely need to hear the songs of film "Sur". Though I am not a die hard fan of Lucky ali since his voice is different from all the singers, so most of his songs are very good and have the feellings in it. To me a true song is the one to which you hear after a long period of time and it still brings that warmth in it. Try listening to old songs, Film Taal, Jo Jita Wohi Sikandar and much more....

First of all it would be a laugh to say that Lucky Ali was besura in that song. That was a superhit track of Kaho Na Pyaar hai. The other track which is Aye Mere dil too gaye jaa was a phonemonal track again sung by Lucky Ali.

Aadesh Srivastava is not an authority to comment on Lucky Ali's singing as the music composer was Rajesh Roshan. Rajesh Roshan has sustained a brand name far above and ahead of all the contemporary music composers. He sustained his name at a time when RD Burman was at his perfect best.

So this kind of statement is not correct. These two songs are masterpieces of Lucky Ali. Paresh was not even close to 10% of what he had sung. I don't know why Aadesh Srivastatva made that statement though simply disacknowledging the name of the singer. Has he forgotten that the album of Kaho Na Pyaar hai was a roaring and phonomenol hit of the year 2000?

I think AS got a bit carried away...since he, (or anyone else for that matter) isn't used to Paresh singing anything well...

In my opinion, this was one of Paresh's best performances..but that doesn't mean he comes anywhere close to Lucky Ali...

PS..Chandu Rocks..
