A R RAHMAN is a musical genuis.As long as there are people who hate him he'll be termed over-rated.Nobody will be called over-rated until and unless there are people who don't understand or appreciate a person's talent or worth.

And here is the new music of Robot (Rajnikant & Aishwarya) by Rahman. Your opinion please.

It sounds better in tamil, but overall eminently forgettable, sorry 😳

hmmmm....extremely elektronic, vocal software, sequenced rhythm ,arpeggio......

@the topic: This is what happens with stars and legends. Everyone will laud them until a bad performances makes way. ARR is a legend, original and classy. I would not write him off just because of this one performance alone. Same thing happens with Sachin Tendulkar. If he makes a century, he becomes a poster boy, once he is out on duck, people doubt his value.

As far as Sukhwinder is concerned, who knows he might have his own prejudices, since he was not able to accompany ARR to go to the Oscars to receive the award😉

ARR is definitely the best composer India has NOW..in the country filled with musicians like copycat musicians. Good that Rahman is doing more Hollywod projects now, since people in Bollywood only wait for an attempt to pounce on people for one bad movie/music.

I have not criticised him here, only sharing his music,(and who am I any way). BTW elektronic music is requirement of the song, background being robotic.

I remember that interview I read on rediff. I think he revealed himself a bit there. Based on the little I have read of Sukhwinder's interviews I am not going by his word on the issue.

He clearly seems dejected and maybe that is why he is going on record saying things about ARR.
