It is true ARR is overrated.But I read somewhere(dont remember the source) that he acknowledgesr the "inspiration' part from western songs and also pays for copyright.
Music is universal and there is nothing wrong in being inspired by a good piece,but copyrights must be bought from the original and proper credit given.The copycat MDs should learn al esson from what happened to Roshans when they had to cough up 2 crores of rupees for just copying an Indian jingle.

you are right, ARR also has the largest collection of sound sample and royalty free loop which he uses frequently and there are many examples.
