Unfortunately, yellow journalism is the sad reality we have to live with. Ethics be damned, is the attitude of everyone out there in there real world.

Keeping aside the general trends, in terms of this story, mental illness is just about the only chink in Shreya's armor. She is just perfect in every other way. How I wish they showed her character as an intelligent woman who was involved in an accounting fraud or a major scam to force her to resign, instead of her mental illness.

Geetha,
you know what I think? I think writers have killed their own story with bare hands. Every effort was washed down the drain and the entire story is rendered meaningless because the essence of the story was ruined due to some god forsaken reason.

I thought shreya was the most disappointing character on this show, but unfortnately that turned out be Ananya. Instead of growing as a women, she took a turn for the WORSE. how is this possible? why did writers think this was a good idea? yes she is impulsive but she was NEVER like this, which leads me to believe that she has become mentally unstable thanks to ronnie's death and the recent events. Simply shrugging off her behaviour saying "eh, ananya was always impulsive and I accept her like this" is NOT OK. why do I have to accept a character who doesn't have the basic capacity to think rationally? and yes she is impulsive but whatever happened to evolution and character GROWTH? why is there no progress with her? I don't relate to ananya, I don't admire her and I certainly don't want to be like her. Having absolutely no control over oneself like this sets off alarm bells. Ananya's Actions are not just "impulsive" they are suicidal. two completely different things

Unlike others, I always believed Ananya loved kabir. their patch up was put into motion right after ronnie's death, and the gradual progression makes sense but because it is saved for the last episode, it looks as if Ananya accepted him because he solved SK's case. while I don't think that, I won't be surprised if viewers do. WHY cv's saved the last week for the official reconcilation and Shreya and RG's downfall is beyond me. they wasted weeks with just talking and running around in circles, there was no development whatsoever but everything will be resolved in the most convenient manner within 6 episodes. CV's screwed up big time, they took on more then they could handle and lost track of their entire story. Even with no TRP pressure, they could not execute a decent story. Makes me wonder if Sony intervened at the last minute.

Actually Shreya did commit lot of mistakes in KKN, I don't know whether to call them as mistakes, but she acted against the best interests of the channel, in getting RG as the sponsor and also in openly challenging Khalid about destroying the channel, this should be enough to throw her out of KKN, and proving her involvement in Ronnie murder should send her to prison, unfortunately neither Khalid not Kabir is smart enough to prove these facts, ultimately it led them to resort to yellow journalism.

To be fair, Shreya and RG didn't give a heads-up. They just did. In Kabir's case, he has been telling Shreya to stay away from him and Ananya. She refused to listen and didn't take him seriously. That is entirely her fault, and she is paying the price for the same.

Besides, the news channels which are breaking the news didn't have problem, who are we to discuss morality here. Like it or not, what they showed on the show reflects the current state of our electronic media which is driven by TRP and 24x7 breaking news.

Ananya-Ronnie scene - I am not thinking too much about it. Not worth it, I feel. For me CVs have messed up Ananya's character big time over the last 25 episodes. They need to bring Kabir-Ananya relation to a closure over the next three days so will show something to suit their convenience.

Kabir-Richa scenes make for an interesting watch. Richa has stepped up her game to support Kabir and get justice for Ronnie. What we wanted Ananya to do, Richa is doing.

agree with you on Richa Kabir

Geeta :

nice ananlysis. a lot has already been said by everyone, and that leaves very less scope for me to add something. however as i surfed through the forum pages and read everyone's comments, i had a realization, and i thought of sharing it here.

the CVs have borrowed heavily from NBT SSN2 track. Ananya's behavior towards Kabir indicates that she's currently suffering from a form of Survivor's Guilt -

1. due to Ronnie's untimely death (she held herself responsible when she woke up)
2. due to her father's case ( it's not that she doesnt realize the complexities but then she realizes too that somewhere she failed as a daughter and a journo to do something for her innocent father and that's why the culprits are still roaming free)

point 1 & 2 combined results in her current behavior towards Kabir, all the hesitation and awkwardness and being non-vocal and non-accepting of her love towards him stems from there. in her mind she considers herself unworthy and undeserving of happiness and such pure love from Kabir, when she is a failure herself. that certainly doesnt mean that she doesnt love Kabir. she loves him as much as he loves her. else when Sunny talked of "bad news" her first instinctive reaction would never had been worrying about Kabir's well- being. also that explains her seeking comfort in Kabir whenever she's on the verge of a breakdown (like the cabin scene before arrest) even after saying that they are together "only professionally".

and point 2 explains all her irrational and volatile behavior towards RG and Shreya. as per her, she had already wasted so much time that now she cant wait a minute more to bring the culprits to book. her father was always her weak point and now her added guilt + frustration at her own self makes her emotionally unstable and easily manipulable by RG and Shreya, and it makes her lash out at them without thinking of the consequences.

Posting something after a long time on any forum - but this making fun of the mentally ill and degrading them is a TOTAL NO. In bad taste and so disappointing at what has been a great show so far..
level drop in the end 😕

Well said, I completely agree to what you wrote about Shreya getting humiliated infront of the media bcoz of her mental unstability. I did not like dat scene. Yes Kabir and team could have gathered evidence against her evil acts but not regarding one's mental illness. I couldn't digest that.
