Nice thought - Rudra and Shantanu being mirror images - well almost.
Why was Shantanu not present in his brother's wedding ? He was not aware ?
Where has Mala seen Shantanu before ?

As I posted in another thread -

What broke Rudra 15 years back ? That his mother left him and his father for another man. Who made him okay ? Paro. With her fierce love and devotion. What was he most afraid of ? That Paro will also leave him one day. How did he tackle it ? By getting her to promise that she will never ever leave him.

Now Paro's death will definitely affect Rudra. But Shantanu will realize very soon (if he has not already) that what will destroy Rudra completely is if he can make Paro leave Rudra. It will be Sune pe Suhaga if she leaves with Shantanu. Else Shantanu can make it look like Paro left with Shantanu after Paro leaves on her own.

Now how he will achieve this - I have no idea.

I think I said it before ... Shanty sees Rudra and Paro, but he is not an IF Forum fangirl! Their frightening chemisty came at the price of his brothers life. It matters not to him whether his brother held a gun to Paros head or not! It was his brother, and he carries his ashes around to remind him, motivate him. Let me turn things around and ask you this - who do you think Shantanu holds more culpable - the man who killed his brother in an encounter or his brothers widow who is now the wife of that man? This is pretty rough reality for him. No matter how like a deep river Paro is, the fact is that she is the widow of his brother who married his killer, and Rudra can be as fiery as the eternal flame, but he killed Varun. Bang!

As an infiltrator/mole, he could have information from the terrrorist cell, from the BSD. Either way, he would know that Varun was killed because he threatened Paro. Paro herself said it at the conference - Rudra saved my life from the guy I was mourning all these days, and I just realized that the guy I considered my husband would have sent me to hell once I crossed the border, So that was public. The Thakur told her all this. And so she would have told the BSD as much. So whether Shanty got the information from BSD files, or knew from the terrorist organization, he knows exactly what happened. I think he came upon the information gradually. Because Rudra was hiding Paro both from the general BSD and the Thakur for two months. Then the Shivratri show down happened, with the press conference and the award ceremony, the whole case of the baraat, gun running went public. The news of the shaadi probably filtered through the BSD. And the Thakur knew about it although Mala did not. Mala found out when she walked into the BSD HQ.

I still think that the ONLY thing he did not know was that Maala, Rudras mother, - who was pretty isolated from the Thakurs terrorist life - was married to Tejawat. Even that, looking back, I cannot prove without doubt. Maala may have caught sight of him in some occasion in the past. But he may not recall or even be aware of that.

Whatever he has said to Paro so far, apart from when they talk about Rudra, has been bait. I do not see this conversation as substantially different!

I am not closed to his changing! Hath not a Jew eyes? I see dimples too! But that change has to come because of a real aha moment. It cannot come just because he like a lot of us here is enchanted with that Titli who brought the Jallad to his knees. And that has not happened yet. That change would be that he cannot hate him anymore than he can hate her.

But ... no psychotic falling in love with angel. Please. I will do pro bono copyright work for you. Or draft patent applications. Or analyse exoskeleton patent applications for you.😆 Please.

I think the love of Paro and Rudra for each other precludes everyone else in the world. It was galling for me to see Laila proclaiming her love for Rudra after the eight years went bust. To me it was a patently selfish attempt at holding him back in the darkness. The Thakur and Rudra had it bang on - she loved herself above all else.

I would find this second love equally galling.

If you have to love, then love em both! And walk away with a smile on your face and a tear in your heart! But walk away!

(This is me being overdramatic .. and shamelessly using my work time and computing to rant!) Love you all lots! Especially you Navin dear! I am on your side! We are all on one side! 😆

No wonder u found him scarier yesterday! Cz indeed there is a fccking parallel b/w Rudra and Shantanu! both Misunderstood Paro, hurt her, tortured her, punished her for crimes she never committed and when they figure our how absolutely pure and innocent she is they want her for themselves because for their inner fire to douse they will seek that tranquil deep river!! Its no longer a want - they will NEED her!
Rudra came in line first and managed to contain his madness cz he managed to have her! Body soul and devotion only for himself!
But now Paro is already Rudra's when the 2nd round comes with Shantanu he will want the same thing - but this time around well.. she is already taken! Her own loyalty love devotion everything is already given to Rudra!

Its gonna be crazy!!
