Napster, maybe that conversation in the kitchen was just to have some conversation ? If he is a BSD officer then he must be knowing all the details about this Birpur operation so he would also know everything about Varun & his deals etc , IMO

I dont agree, though, that being in the BSD would mean Santanu would have any access to the Birpur files.The whole point of Paro being taken away from the BSD by Rudra was to keep the entire mission top secret, including the witness location, and Tejawat's details.The case files have been handled by just three people--Rudra, V K Singh and Aman.

If Officer Shntanu is truly a BSD man, he was in Jammu-Kashmir, and missed out on the entire wedding itself, much less the aftermath of Rudra wiped out the entire Baraat. Even if he had relatives or friends with Varun at the wedding, ( like that creep uncle) they are dead and gone. Shantanu is,moreover, a lower level officer. He might not know anything beyond--- Varun is the unlucky groom of the deadly Birpur Baraat, and that Rudra is claiming he was a terrorist to cover up marrying Varun's shameless widow.


Any information about an ongoing terrorism case--especially when the case's witness was almost killed by a traitor inside the BSD would be classified, and Rudra made sure of it from the beginning. Details certainly are not available easily to just about anyone, esp. a lower level guy like him.
