I know I've asked the question, what's the point if you plan to leave him soon? But that too is something she really does not want to go through in all possibility. So setting that aside for now. Just like Paro has..because that's another truth, she cannot bring herself to face. She will deal with it only when the time comes...
At the core of her heart, she wants to know,if she will ever matter to him...or mean as much as he has come to mean to her. Laila's truth has virtually forced her to question her own beliefs... And whether what she thought of them...as together as meant to be...was any of it real? Or was it just a figment of her imagination!?
If there is no truth in it, if the major feels nothing, then the reality is - she will have lost everything...
Leesan: thank you for your kind words and great thoughts!
I can't help but notice that consistency/ inconsistency of characterizations ,whether Rudra or Paro, keep coming to the forefront of many discussions on the forum. And understandably, because most viewers do like to feel that they have a true grasp and understanding of the characters that they enjoy watching on a regular basis.
Personally I've found most people to be inconsistent or lets say unpredictable in some aspect of their lives. I am no exception either. We are creatures of habit true, but life itself is inconsistent over time. Situations and circumstances can change at the drop of a hat,and shake up everything we thought we knew about someone ,even ourselves. It's comforting to think we would never do that,or we're not that type of person etc. but sometimes depending on the circumstances,we surprise ourselves. We don't always do what should be done or what is expected of us, we make mistakes all the time. Because we're human, full of flaws and foibles, just trying to do the best we can with what life presents to us.
Paro and Rudra are no different IMO. Rudra was always presented as a dark and damaged soul, in need of healing and redemption. Paro as a sweet, bright chirpy girl, who managed to make lemonade from the lemons of her life. Where everything was black or white, right or wrong. Perhaps a little too self assured for her own good? I like this new side of her actually, it brings out new shades to her character, she's not as sorted as she thought she was ,maybe? Her belief system is being tested , and she's showing us she's human after all. Flawed...just like the rest of us!
