Hmmppphhh!

Well, I guess it will have to do.. 😔

More later, Choti!!

------------------""

Unres...

Where do I even start Choti..?

So many instances of fear incorporated here...

His recall of her fear, when they first met..the fear which compelled him to turn back and rescue her..
His comprehension of her fear, as he watches her standing lost in the chaos erupting all around, his gun trained on her..
His deep-rooted fear of beautiful women, who in his eyes, can only ensnare, bewitch and ultimately abandon...
His fear of feeling any attachment for another human being..

His fear that she may have to bear the agony of chemicals burn her tender, soft skin...
His fear that any harm may come to her...
His fear that he may have glimpsed this unwanted emotion, fleetingly, in her eyes...
His fear that she may find out about his tainted past, that she may think worse of him...

Finally, when he has barely pushed aside his fear of the emotions that she so easily arouses in him...he finds that she is slowly distancing herself, is building walls around herself to keep him out...and he can literally feel her slip away...

And in the end you finally revealed his innermost fear,,,deep-seated..the palpable, mind-numbing terror...that he may lose her...
He can't bear it, even as he totters over the edge of sanity and falls in to the dark, terrifying abyss...

This was splendidly written...I was getting so restless as I read on...

Who would have thought that Bhayanaka could be written for Rudra.. The brave, strong warrior who is to be feared...

Innovative approach Choti...👏

The writing was perfect Choti...emotions brought out so well, making the reader feel for Rudra...
And the attention to detail, i know it is your speciality 😉 ...his memory of the ornament in her hair, the yellow flowers adorning her...very nice touch!
The way you use words to convey emotions is just brilliant...the playing with fire, ready to burn, the desire mixing with the pain in his arm, the sweat that makes him shiver...
I loved this sentence esp:

It infiltrated the carefully built up logic, the hard exterior, made him a slave chained to his hormones

You do justice to every piece you write...and this OS is further evidence (thought one needs none)

Much love,
Maya

Maya Akka, how do I even express how much I love your long, thoughtful comments? I'm at a loss right now, and I really am struggling for words. You've picked up on what I intended to portray- the various facets of fear that a person can face, and not all of them are necessarily to do with being scared of... something physical? I guess- what I was trying to say was that you can fear almost anything, and it can consume you if you let it. Hence, the abyss- something that's dark and endless. In a way, the Rudra we started with was consumed by fear of people leaving him- and that's where this comes from.

Lots and lots of love for you for this lovely, beautiful comment 🤗

Ooohhh...nice eyes, you say? 😉
I am thinking about how Niti should make the most of this delirium and write us an OS about Rudra and his aankhein...or Samar ki aankhein? 😉 😉

I've gotten this procedure done twice...hurt like hell the first time and barely even felt it the second time...

Brilliant Choti!! Of all the people who you could have scared, you chose the toughest guy 😃 His terror / fear increasing slowly, lethally, like a cancer spreading through the body, hidden from the human eye... that's what it felt like. Simply awesome!

-Edit:

Depths, layers depths and more layers. My god Choti, every situation revealed a new side of Rudra from the shooting to the protection of his image in her eyes we got to see another form of fear, another form of panic in him. You've described him to be a storm that silently rains on everyone without them realising- I don't think he realised either until he met Paro and he openly asked her to welcome his rain but she doesn't want to get wet anymore. Damn damn. This facade of Rudra is one that a lot of people write about but not many can do justice to him, I mean a lot of people can write well no question but the essence of layers is sometimes missing. An here there are layers there is depth, incredible depth.

The ending got me, it was sharp and in your face, I love this. Heck I love it too much I've read it three times already.

This was such an exquisite piece. I cannot wait for tomorrow now :D

-Asho

Asho, so much pyaar. Your comment is poetic too, just like your writing. The storm you describe, and how she doesn't want to get wet anymore- God, Asho. I could put this as a story in itself! I'm so honored you think I did justice to his character, and the fact that you saw layers in him, layers that you think I built up, is incredibly flattering.

I will say, tomorrow's piece is absolutely beautiful- White-Lies has done a wonderful job, and I'm so honored I get to be followed by her.
