Chotidesi - wow what an amazing story and amazing writing ! Fear is such a multi-faceted word and you chose to write about Rudra's fears! Fears from paradoxically such a strong physical man - of course the source of all his fears is his physical opposite Paro!
First he feared falling for a beautiful woman and can't understand why he didn't pull the trigger on the 'terroist' ( I also how you show that he liked her form the first time he saved her!) - then he fears what Laila has done to her, he can't bare her hurting in anyway, especially if it is due to him in some way and also he shuts up Laila from talking about their relationshipThen the worst fear of all happens when he lets her in and gets used to her - the fear that she might leave him, ever-present after his mother left and especially when she is distancing herself from him - I can see the shattered little boy screaming for her to come back to herself and continue being her light!Wonderful continuation of this amazing series - that make my weekends special again (and weeks as i re-read them!)
VERY naice, Choti!
One feeling and so many manifestations of it. Fear-- it's not just what we associate with horror movies and stormy nights when the lights go out. Fear appears in so many forms and shapes, and I loved the evolution of Fear in your story. From fearing what the deceptive, beautiful woman can do, what havoc she can wreck, to fearing her loss, her pain, and finally fearing her withdrawal, her absence-- Rudra's traveled a long way. I wish I could say it was a liberating journey. But that is the tragic truth of their relationship. The stakes were always higher for them, and ultimately, Rudra's loses exactly what he feared he would. He'd been right to fear her, and fear what she had come to mean to him.Beautifully defined shifts in feeling.
