We got a fantastic episode today. Lots of high voltage drama that I thoroughly enjoyed.

The brushing of the hands represents the brush of feelings that Rudra feels whenever he sees Paro. It's hesitant because he's unsure of it, but if you noticed, it's more definite than it has been in the past. You can see that he is letting go of his inhibitions and allowing Paro to entwine her life with his, just as they entwined their fingers.

Rukmini's blue color represents his deep, omnipresent sadness that restrains him from truly giving into the love he feels for the woman he has married. However, the fluttering of her wings represent the little flutters of hope his heart has upon waking up to see her pretty face every morning, the bright sunlight that represents the possible attainment of happiness caressing her face.

You can see that Rudra and Paro are really starting to love each other. Their bond will be so strong, that even Kakisa's evil plans won't be able to break it. The sleeping of Laila on their bed represents that despite someone else placing himself or herself in their private sanctuary, Paro and Rudra will be able to handle anything. She was on their bed, but they were still together, despite it all.

Hats off, CVs!

What a lovely analysis, Choti! If I may add a few of my own observations--

1) Laila being given clothes by Kaki show that Laila is going to align herself with Kaki just as Paro aligns herself with Mala (with her kangans). Will Mohini win again? Will Rudra lose Mala again?

2) Laila's blowing of the conch was also eerily reminiscent of a battle-cry. She is so sure of her motives that she doesn't fear God even. She flaunts her conviction in front of Paro's own Bholenaath.

3) Major Saab changing behind the pillar was symbolic of the barriers that still remain between Rudra and Paro. They may have diminished, but they haven't disappeared.

4) Rudra and Paro holding hands as they sleep is an indicator that they will always subconsciously reach out for one another no matter how much animosity lies in between them.

5) Parvati, like the divine mother whom she is named after, is all forgiving. She forgives everyone everything and it is this very naivete that will eventually lead her to trouble and temporary separation from her Mahadev.
But as we all know, Rudra and Paro are two halves of a whole and will therefore, always find each other.

What a surprise! You and analysis? I know it'll be cool 😃

Lit analysis bug speaking, I guess?

I liked the episode too! It was sweet romance, and so significant in outlining the changing dynamics between Parud. Now that the "baharwaali" Laila has entered the equation, Rudra is constantly repeating that Paro is his, and "humaara" and all that. He's cute like that.

Equally cute was the mantra to drive away pain. Rudra fell for her naivete again!

Now they didn't show #BinaShirtMonnchiya, all the way. That's not cool.

The less said about Laila, the better. Mohini is always the bi- witch I mean. This Laila has new colours to show. The constant reference as "chamaleon" isn't the first of the animal imagery. I mean, even Rudra is called "jaanwar" repeatedly. I guess they are hinting at some connection between the two. Maybe Laila will win Rudra temporarily in Paro's absence? Hope not.

Lastly, the fact that Mohini slipped in the note through the jaali, and that too from behind the mandir- certainly Satanic. Laila is indeed, Mo's pawn, she just doesn't think so- yet. Mohini reminds me of Lady Macbeth, you know.

Nice, balanced episode that didn't raise any wars, thankfully. Ankita's acting... well, since Laila is temporary, no point in raising issues about her I guess?

I never knew you had a knack for analyzing as well. You never fail to surprise me with your many facets, first your beautiful one shots and now this thought provoking post, you truly have a way with words.

I was skeptical about Rudra's sudden breakdown up until yesterday. I was having trouble understanding what brought on the catharsis in him. But then I watched the episode carefully and realized it was the doll, which is the only thing that symbolizes hope, purity, salvation in Rudra's otherwise
painful and morose past. And seeing the symbol of the only vestige of innocence from his otherwise traumatic childhood, adorned with the bangles he gave Paro, acted as his undoing. He could see how the little girl who reached out and helped him out of his personal hell all those years ago, is still as innocent, as loving, as giving, and as pure as she used to be. He may not know he is falling in love with her quite yet, but he knows he doesn't want to destroy someone who is so pure & so good at heart. I saw continuation of the same train of thoughts in today's episode as well. When he indulgently let her do her silly chanting to supposedly heal his arm, when he didn't move his hand away from her clasp at night, or when he wished he could talk his heart out with her, it all points towards one thing - he needs her, more than he realizes, she is her only chance at salvation now, just like she was all those years ago.

Laila wanting Rudra the janwar back was definitely laded with foreshadowing. We all know Paro plans to leave Rudra once he recovers. And if she ever leaves him, then in that very instance he will go back to being a ruthless, heartless demon. But you know where Laila will get stumped? Her "jaanwar" won't truly be hers you see, even in his worst he will be obsessed with Paro, all of his attention, his energy, his rage, his frustration, will only be channeled at getting Paro back in his life. Jallad or not, Rudra is Paro's for life now, and nothing Laila does or says will change this.

Another thing I found interesting is Mohini was behind the partition, and out of everyone's sight. This can mean that even this time her involvement in all this will go undetected. Maybe no one will realize she was Laila's ally even when Laila is ousted once everyone finds out about her true intentions.

I am loving this new developments that Laila's entry has heralded. Finally feel like the writers are doing their job right.

You should really write analysis post more often.

Ok I'll be honest. I read this only because you're the one writing it. You know how my opinions on analysis posts in general, so...

Anyway, this was beautifully written, of course. I like how you've related colours and movements to the love-story. However, I think you missed out on that very important Mohini-Laila scene. It was foreshadowing so much. Laila blowing that big conch and having that silent conversation with Mohini through the shadows of the jharokha just before. We all know the nature of Paro's love for Rudra and how it's always linked to the divine. Not that I agree or understand much about it but still, since this is you, I'll go by that interpretation and say this is where the true poison of their lives has come in- the Laddoos were just the calm before the storm. Now is when the acid and the poison in their lives will truly mix and burn everything in its path. & today Laila used Paro's staunch belief in the divine to cross that threshold into the position of power as I see it. Paro's belief will drown Rudra in her love, but it also will bring the destructive flood called Laila into their lives.

You know I've a thing for Laila. Maybe it is all the great analytical fanfiction you guys write on her, who knows? But I cannot wait to see this track lay out.

Loved your analysis.
Even though it was obvious that Laila has come to break them apart... what was shown showed that the bond Rudra and Paro share is getting stronger day-by-day... that nothing can or anyone can't break it.
Rudra has definitely changed his ways when it comes to Paro... not sure if all those words of Aman, Dilsher or even Laila have caused this but there is change in the way he looks at Paro now. The scary part is with this bond getting stronger and Paro thinking of leaving him once hes all healed that he may become more damaged once she leaves.

Thanks Sem! I really do value your comments- they always make so much sense, and make me consider things that I never would have before.

I definitely agree with Laila's conch being symbolic of a battlecry- she's almost going against Bholenath, and this is such a contrast to who Paro is. They're really going to put Rudra in between this black and white, these two women that are so different- it'll be interesting to see how the CVs resolve this conflict.

Rudra standing in the pillar also symbolizes how Paro will always protect him- she told him to go behind the pillar and change to protect him from Laila's straying eyes. This truly shows that no matter what she says, she always has his best interests at heart. Very heartening.
