Ranveer Singh flew back mid shoot to be with pregnant Deepika Padukone, reveals Dhurandhar co star

Ranveer Singh has been receiving attention for his recent film Dhurandhar: The Revenge, but a co actor’s account has now highlighted how he managed work alongside personal responsibilities during its shoot. At the time, Deepika Padukone was expecting their first child.

In an interview with Mirchi Plus, actor Abhay Arora, who plays Yasir in the film, shared insights into Ranveer’s routine. He said, “Ranveer would try his best to get days off between shooting, even if it was just three or four days, so he could fly back to his wife and take care of his family. The way Ranveer takes care of his family is wonderful.” His statement has drawn attention to the actor’s efforts to stay present during a crucial phase.

During the film’s schedule, Deepika was pregnant with their first child. The couple later welcomed their daughter Dua in September 2024. Ranveer and Deepika, who married in 2018, have often spoken about supporting each other through demanding work schedules. Their public appearances and interviews have frequently reflected this balance between personal and professional life.

Recently, the couple was seen stepping out for a lunch outing following the film’s strong performance. They posed with restaurant staff and acknowledged fans waiting outside. Videos from the outing showed fans cheering for Ranveer, calling him “Babbar Sher,” while Deepika stood beside him, smiling as the moment unfolded. The clips circulated widely across social media platforms.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has reported strong box office numbers. The film features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun in key roles. It continues to perform well in theatres.

Looking ahead, Ranveer is expected to feature in a zombie thriller titled Pralay, which will mark the debut of filmmaker Hansal Mehta’s son Jai Mehta. Meanwhile, Deepika is set to appear in King alongside Shah Rukh Khan and is also working on a project with filmmaker Atlee.
