Ashish is a good actor and he's one of the few who can convey a hundred meanings just with his eyes or a slight movement of his lips or a flicker of emotion on his face, so there's no need for such theatrics every time.

What was the difference between the breakdown he had when Paro sang a song his mom used to sing and today when he was on the verge of opening up to Paro...there should have been some difference and I think that was the directors job to show that. Personally I think Rudra has too many breakdowns and I preferred the man who poured whisky over his bullet wounds but if that's how the cv's envision him then fine but don't turn him into a wuss.

@red...I know right, where is that Rudra? Yesterday he was vocal about his hand hurting, it was emotional and all but...seriously that did not match up with the earlier characterization? that's a big glaring incosistency right there! But the CVs will do what they intend to do...

I think one of the reasons why the scene didn't work as well is that the writer/creatives pulled the mother crap out of their you know what all of a sudden again and again and again😕. Like seriously the mummy issue is grating on my nerves, its been a while, get over it already. He has had relationship with women since hasn't he so how and according to the OW has been talking about mommy issue for the past eight years with her.
Does it take such a long time to get over that. His acting doesn't come across as natural in crying scenes nor does it evoke any emotion from me as a viewer, I just fast-forward such scenes, and or laugh my self silly.😆

I don't think he was talking abt his hand hurting...that was his helplessness in not being able to use his hand. There is a lot of difference between the two situations.

Exactly, I was just going to say this but you beat me to it 👏 When he referred to his hand I didn't think he was literally crying/upset about how his hand physically hurt, I felt that he was more upset because he couldn't take not being able to fully function both his hands properly...especially as an army officer it's psychologically taxing on you when you realize you are not 100% up to your physical potential...many army officers do anything and everything they can to go back to their maximum physical potential after they are injured in one way or another (physically), and this is not because they want to feel physically powerful, but because they need to feel psychologically secure and confident, and they can only feel this way when they are not visibly weak...most men in general but especially army officers hate showing their weaknesses...Rudra hates how everyone can see his current weakness...he has become a pro at hiding his mental/emotional weaknesses but there is nothing he can do to hide his physical weakness and this is eating him up inside...not sure how to explain it properly...Also, Rudra's feeling of helplessness regarding his hand was/is a reflection of his helplessness regarding his feelings for Paro...his pain was inside, not outside...just my take...

P.S. Paro is very special because Rudra willingly opens up and shares his mental/emotional weaknesses to her while in a sober state. Which is why I think this episode marks a huge transition in Parud's relationship. A transition towards trust, comfort, hope, honesty, and support (on Rudra's part).

That makes sense, I can buy that. Also maybe he is softening towards her and thereby showing her his pain...both physical and emotional.
But we fans love this show so much that we are analyzing every little thing that doesn't go right as we want it to...but end of the day let them tell their story. Minor inconsistencies are bound to be there . We can only discuss...and then move on.😛

Well said ! Thats what i felt too. And bang on with the observation about the transformation in Parud's relationship. Thats what today's baring of the soul by Rudra was about. No one is willing to see the beauty of the scene i guess. Today its all about everything is wrong about Rudra/ Ashish's acting

Couple of days ago it was sanny's turn ...everything was wrong with her acting...
So sanz & AS are taking turns I guess...😆
But on a serious note...i didn't see rudra's breakdown coming...
It was little strange for me...
he was talking as if they will be lovey ,dovey and boom...rudra breaks down...
I said nahiii...not again...
such scenes should be used sparingly otherwise it doesn't create any impact...
director, writer need to take care of this in future...

I agree with you, I really do...but that entire paragraph I wrote to you was not my conclusion after analyzing the scene, it was my immediate understanding of Rudra's dialogues and expressions 😛

NB i really really liked Rudra opening up today.I never liked him crying in the past episodes. But today loved it.maybe it is because he is opening up to Paro.maybe that made the difference. But loved his angst too much today especially him holding her hands.
I don't know much about losing a mother,But i have a friend who lost her mother to cancer when she was in high school.Even now at forty she still cries when she thinks of her mother.
Today I found Rdra in character,he was felling vulnerable about paro, then he assosciated his heart to something he lost. and that he is afraid to do anything positive.every word Rudra said today, pricked my heart.so In short,I loved Rudra today... really really loved him, wanted to cradle his head on my ample bosom.😆

I agree on both fronts... The direction is bad here because Rudra's character is one that doesn't do emotions and him being so emotional always doesn't make sense.
Honestly, I was finally liking the show and now the stupidness of Paro "having" to leave Rudra is starting and I will just take a break.
Maybe I am the only person, but I can't STAND it when either of the main characters leaves the other "for their own good" or "to save them." That is unrealistic bullcrap. A relationship is built on being there for each other so why do indian CVs always do this and ruin the stories? I think if anything is over the top, it is the enactment of the story for this show. The initial story is good, but let paro stay long enough to change his mind instead of just inciting his hatred for "beautiful" women some more. I mean its clear what you are trying to do CVs, I just hope you know you will lose viewers in the process.

My bad if I went a little off topic... this was eating away at me!
