Hi there!! First of all a funny coincidence, I am eating tic-tacs right now! 😆

but awww that was sooo sweet of u! thank you and u were such a darling! 🤗 but what is ur name? 😳

And now coming to this lovely story u have started.. Honestly when we see a mirror of ourselves through the words of someone else, and if that mirror makes us face the very things we have fearfully tucked to the side till then.. and then those wounds one has tried to patch up and pretend to not exist starts to ache making you break..
that is what this piece of writing is about.

The cruel words of kaki reaches her ears.. the words might be cruel.. but the root of it is indeed her heartbreaking reality..

Initially the words of Maitili makes her smile, because isn't it what she tells herself over and over so that now she herself has started believing it?
But the next verbal assault - ripping apart the protective cover she has built.. reminding her of the harsh reality she has tried to make herself believe is better than what it really was.. but... its now reminding her of all the things that are so very wrong b/w herself and Rudra.. their marriage.. because how long can someone stay optimistic when everything is telling her that 'Waiting for him is like waiting for rain in a drought. Useless and disappointing.'
yet its heartbreaking to know that she is making one final effort.. She has shared her everything with him. only to be spurned.. so she is going to offer him her final gift... her body...

I wonder where you will take this tale from here... it has so many possibilities.. but the way you have portrayed a 3rd cruel POV and Paro's instinctual hurt and the subsequent responses to it is amazing!

Just loved reading it and waiting to read the next part! 😳

😆 you were eating tic-tac???😆

Waise thanks for the wonderful and lovely comment😊
Yes! you got it right ...we know what we are,...we know our pain...but we still make peace with it...but when someone else shows us the mirror than its becomes too unbearable ...
And you will have to wait to know were I am willing to take this story...
And my name is Sambhavi 😃

thanks for the lovely comment🤗

Awesome start, it's written brilliantly.
Paravati is a vey strong woman. She never let her grief and pain empower on her. She is amazingly bearing Rudra's cold, rude and harsh attitude.
The determination which rise her again is impressive. She wants to know her crime, she is adamant to clear out the mess in her life, to demand her right in the marriage and I am sure Rudra will accept her too.
Can't wait to read next part.
Pm me when you will update.

Thanks for the lovely comment dear😊
Parvati IS a strong woman...but still a human and has her patience that can be stretched to a certain limit like every human being...and this story is all about that.the last nail...you will have to wait to see that😉

But whats pm?? 😕 Am really new here...so dont know much about the working of here...just posting and replying...hope you will help me.😊

and yes! your fear is very much valid...thats what Rudra's character is...he will not take a second to shift Paro's love to lust or any other word...but for what is going to happen?? ...you will have to keep reading the story😳

Hey, everyone! Back with the second part 😊 I cant thank enough for your lovely and encouraging words. I have replied to everyone's comment. And I had thought that I can complete this story in three parts but I think I was wrong, so Its not an TS anymore, now It's an SS.

Part 2

The glass stood proud on the desk, feeling honored at containing the flammable liquid, the same flammable liquid which has the power to control all the kinesthetic activities of a man whose eyes holds the power to burn anyone into ashes, whose fury has the sinew to set the whole world on fire. The glass was now held in a strong grip, making the yellow liquid in it dance. Its master's glare, yet again, like everything and everyone, tried to burn it. Burn it like he himself was burning, with the same fire which is igniting his whole inside. But the proud glass stood through it's master's strong grip, not allowing his strong grip to destroy it. But alas, who can stand through the power of this gigantic man. And so the glass gave in the stubbornness of its master and broke in pieces.

And thus the life of yet another glass was brutally taken away by its equally brutal master. But this glass was fortunate enough to break in its Master's hand unlike others, which were mercilessly thrown in every corner of his cabin.

-drip-

-drip-

-drip-

-drip-

"drip...drip...drip...drip..." Rudra mimicked the sound of his oozing blood. His face flat on the desk as he saw the blood leaving his body. He turned his palm to face him and looked at the glass piece stuck in his palm. Lifting his face from the desk he slummed back on his chair and raised his hand to give a close look at his wound...or at the glass piece stuck in there to be more accurate. Lifting his other hand, he pulled the glass piece from his skin, not an ounce of gentleness in his action and dare a hiss came out of his mouth disclosing his pain.

He lifted the piece close to his eyes, giving a close inspection to the piece.

"Toot gaya tu?" Rudra asked the broken glass piece, as if a little boy innocently asking his toy of its betrayal. "Tu kitna accha hai.." (You are so nice)he gave the glass piece a little smile. "jab chahe tab tujhe tod sakte hain...loyal...you are a loyal companion...jab tak chaho tab tak saath rehta hai aur jab na chaho..."(When we please, we can break you...loyal...you are a loyal companion...till we want you, you stay with us and when we don't...) the piece got lost in the big fist, and the look which took charge of his face can be called anything but innocent. He flunked the piece in the corner. "aur jab chahe tab tod do...fek do...apni zindagi se bahar nikal do..."(And when we want...throw it...wrench it away from our life. ) His jaw clenched, whole body trembling with the fury burning his insides. Resting his hand flat on the desk to support his wobbly legs, he got up. His shaky legs took him towards the door.

*

His hand immediately banged on his HQ room's door, supporting him. His inebriated and restless eyes meandered around the room, searching for his priceless possession. He went towards the bed, his steps faltering as he reached there. Reaching beside the bed he dropped on his knees. His anxiousness heart didn't spend a second to command his hand to slip inside his alabaster pillow. And as soon as his hand slipped in, his panic-stricken eyes jerked up not finding his wealth there. Even in his tipsy state, his senses immediately roused to alert. He got up immediately, his steps no more faltering, now his whole being was possessed and consumed by more powerful thing than his loyal companion. The white and clean bedsheet went flying in the air, followed by the two pillows.

"Kaha gaya?!!"(Where gone?!!) his loud cry echoed from every corner of the small room. His frantic hands scratched the soft fabrics of the bed, his nails digging in, punishing it for not keeping his treasure safe.

"Ahhh!!!!!" the mattress witnessed the power of Major Rudra Pratab Ranawat as it was mercilessly tossed away. And why not? It had done the heinous job of not safeguarding his possession. His bloodshot ragging eyes bore holes in each and everything in the room, his breathing heavy. At last his leg gave up as he slummed down on his knees. And as if the almighty above had taken some mercy on him, his treasure came flying to him, resting near his defeated knees. His eyes shifted towards it, and the relief never felt before washed over his entire being. His hand raced towards it, taking it in his hand, and his parched eyes quenched its thirst.

"Paro..." he tasted his wife's name on his lips as his thump caressed her cheek. He looked at the photo in his hand, she looked ethereal. White choli with her yellow ghagra and the yellow transparent chunnari covering her front. It was the pic of their fake haldi ceremony.

Rudra fell flat on his back, the trembling legs refusing to support him anymore. He lay there down, just looking at the photo, his caramel eyes taking their fill. He lifted his wounded hand towards the photo.

"Paro?...aaj...aaj ek aur toot gaya..." (Paro, today...today one more glass gave away.....)he laughed. "Aaj ek glass aur toot gaya..." (Today one more glass is broken...)His pained eyes lifted to look at his wife's picture, not an hint of earlier laughter. "Tu...tu kyun nahi toot ti Paro?...kyun nahi?...Kitna try kiya tujhe todne ka...kitna try kiya...tujhe...tujhe har ek mauke par baisaat kiya...teri galati ho ya na ho...hamesha tujhe hi galat kaha...kabhi bharosa nahi kiya...kabhi bhi na...tujhe koi bhi patni wala hak nahi diya...tujhe kabhi hasne ka ek bhi mauka nahi diya..." (You...why don't you break, Paro...Why?...I tried so many times to break you...It doesn't mattered if it's your fault or not...I always blamed you...You...On so many occasions I disgraced you...I never believed you...Never...Never gave you any honor of a wife...Never gave you a reason to laugh... ) He brought the photo close to his eyes. "Saare...saare 8 vachan nibhaye maine, Paro...saare. Phir bhi tu na tooti ...kyun Paro? Kaunsi Meetti se bani hai tu?...har baar kaise muskura sakti hai tu?...dard nahi hota tujhe?...cha..." (Every...I fulfilled each and every vow, Paro...every... Still you stood through everything...Why, Paro?...What are you made up of?...How can you smile every time...Don't you feel hurt?...g...)his heart forced him to stop,to not utter the next words, because he don't want that... but...but still he wants that. His heart is not prepared for another heartbreak. Because this time it won't break...his heart will not break...it will...it will DIE. And he don't want that. He can take pride in pushing her away, it's better than to be left by her, to be betrayed by her. That way he can live, live with the knowledge that he had not allowed any Khobsoorat Aurat to betray him. But instead he had tried to break her, tear away her every believe, every believe of any beautiful tomorrow she has for them. He had butchered her every advance towards him. Pushed her away with such vigor that she had always taken atleast a day to recover from that. But still the very next day, she is again seen standing in front of him with the same intensity of love in her eyes, which he had applied to push her.

"Chali kyun nahi jaati, Paro? ...kyun...kyun..."(Why don't you go, Paro?...Why?...Why?...) The question died on his lips as his eyes dropped close. He plastered his Khoobsurat wife's photo to his heart. "Neend aa rahi hai, Paro..."(I am too sleepy, Paro...) came the low whisper..."tu...tu bhi soja...soja, Paro..."(You ...you too sleep...sleep, Paro...) he patted her photo, lulling her pic to sleep.

Pehla vachan(First vow)-- Her blind love.

"Aap...aap nasta na karoge..."(You will not have your breakfast?)The soft voice of his wife graced him early morning. He looked into the mirror, buttoning his uniform shirt. Finishing his work, he turned around to see his wife. She stood there, clad in the same red dress which she had worn the day she has disguised as Gauri, trying to fool him.

"Nasta? ...tere haath se bana hua?...kya bharosa tune usme zeher mila diya ho?" (Breakfast?...made by you?...what if you have poisoned it...how can I believe you?...) came his rude tone earning a gasp from her. His corner of a lip stood in a wicked smile, seeing her shocked face. "Kyun?...tera kya bharosa...ek waqt to tu bolti hai ki main Jallad hoon...aur doosre hi waqt sabke saamne aa jati hai sindoor leke...bolti hai main thara bhagwaan hoon...kyun, Paro? ...kar sakta hai koi tujhpe bharosa?..." (Why?...How can I have faith in you?...one day you say I am a Jallad and the very next second you came in front of the world with a box of vermillion in your hand...Saying I am your God, am I wrong, Paro?...So how can anyone trust you?...) His harsh words like a sharp knife cutting his wife's heart mercilessly in slices.

Paro lifted her misted and hurt eyes to look at her husband.

"Aap...aap ko lagta hai ki main aapke ...aapke khane me zeher dal dungi?...aap..." (You...you think that I can poison your food?...you...)

"Shhh...ye tera rona dhona...ye tera bhola sa chehra ...ye sab usse dikhana jise un sabse fark padta ho...mujhe na padta..." (Shhh...Your all this tears...your innocent face...you can show all this to someone who is affected by all this...but certainly not me...)he waved his hand in front of her. "Samjhi tu?...pyaar...pyaar karti hai na?"(Do you get me?...love?...You love me, right?...)he caught her by her arms and pushed her , making her fall on the bed. "to padi reh yaha par...padi reh...kyunki is jallad ke seene me woh na hai jo tu dhoond rahi hai...samjhi tu?... toh ab maare saamne ye sab pyaar...patni...ye sab natak mat kiya kar maare saamne...kuch na milega tujhe in sab ke badle..."(Than stay here...stay here...Because this Jallad does not have the thing you are searching for...do you get me?...So from now don't came with your all love and wife's duty...Don't came with all this ploy in front of me...You will achieve nothing...) he turned around to leave but stopped immediately. Turning again towards her, he looked at her. Walking towards the bed, he hovered over her, his large palms flat on each side of her. "Ya phir ek aur aasan rasta hai...jaanna chahti hai kya, Paro..."(Or there is an easy path...do you want to know that, Paro?...) his angry eyes looked at her as he leaned dangerously close to her face and continued in a low terrifying voice. "Chali ja...chali ja yaha se...chali ja!!!" (Go away...go away from here...go away!!!) he shouted on her face, making her scared and close her eyes shut.

Breathing heavily, he stood straight. Seeing the tears spilling from her closed eyes, he turned around, leaving the room instantly. He walked out of the haveli. Today he had showered his love on his wife, reciprocated her love with the same intensity as her and he was sure now she will think twice before opening her mouth or even coming in front of him.

Parvati curled up in a ball, the waters taking their route. Her heart pained, surfacing the familiar ache as his harsh words played like a record in her head. Her hand roused to caress her chest, above her heart, trying to sooth the pain there. "Ro mat, Paro...sab theek ho jayega...bas...bas...tu toot na mat...sab theek hojayega..."(Don't cry, Paro...everything will be alright...just...just be strong...Everything will be alright...)Her soft innocent voice whispered to her heart, because it's the only organ which starts aching as soon as her love is thrown straight on her face by the only man for whom it had fallen so vehemently and the irony is that, despite of being slaughtered so mercilessly by that man, it still doesn't wish for anything other than that man. Her heart still beats for the same man who doesn't think twice before squeezing it mercilessly and evoking the unbearable pain.

Doosra Phera"Vishwaas..

It was a warm day as Paro took the stairs to terrace, wanting to collect her clothes before the ragging Sun soaks the color of her ghagra along with the water. She wasn't feeling well today and Kaki-sa s never ending work was not doing any help either.

She reached the terrace and moved towards the rope where her clothes were hanging. She extended her hand up, pulling down her clothes and due to the movement her slender waist lay bare for the hidden audience.

Sumer rubbed his fingers on his lips, his libertine eyes scanning Paro's every move. He leaned on the wall, adjusting himself for the perfect view. But as soon as he got the perfect view, his view was blocked by another wall. He lifted his eyes to look the wall which has suddenly got legs. Sumer stood straight, his hands reaching at the back of his head trying to make everything look OK from his side. But one look at the wall in front of him and all pretence left his body at once. Gulping, he looked to his right, finding a little way out, he took timid steps and scurried away from there.

Paro pulled down the last Ghagra and holding all the clothes carefully in her hand, she turned around only to collide with something solid. She staggered few steps back and the clothes slipped away from her hand and pooled on the floor.

Rudra looked at the colorful clothes sprayed on the floor and then lifted his eyes to look at his beautiful wife's scared eyes.

"Paro..." he took a step closer and stood an inch away from her. His eyes moved from her face to her slightly damp neck, her heaving chest and then rested on her pallid waist, which always remains covered but not today. Today it was shamelessly providing a view to its audience.

Paro followed her husband's gaze and then her hand immediately lifted to her chunnari, covering her waist.

Rudra instantly stopped her move, catching the edge of her chunnari with his calloused fingers.

"Kyun?...ab kyun chupa rahi hain?...Sharam aa rahi hain?" (Why?...why are you hiding it now?...Suddenly feeling shy?)Rudra leaned close to her face. "Aa rahi hain...sharam?" (Are you feeling...shy?) Rudra asked, his head moving up and down, urging her to say something.

Paro closed her eyes and a pearl left her eyes as she felt his rough hand gracing her waist. A shuddering breath left her body as his hands moved back, climbing up.

"Bolna Paro..." (Say something, Paro?)He whispered in her ear. "Maare se sharam aa rahi hai...aur uske saamne na aayi?...main to tera pati hoon na?...mujhse sharam...aur uske saamne besharami?...kyun Paro?"(Are you feeling shy in front of me?...and weren't you feeling shy in front of him?...I am your husband, right?...shy in front of me... and shameless in front of him?...Why, Paro?..)

"Aaa.." a low yelp left her mouth as his fingers pinched her waist, punishing her for the crime she has no idea of. Gathering little courage, she opened her damp eyes to look at his accusing one. "Aap...aap kya bol rahe ho...maare ko...maare ko kuch samajh...ahh" (You...what are you saying?...I ...I can't understand...ahh)came another punishing squeeze.

"Tsk...tsk tsk, Paro...Kuch samajh na aa raha tujhe?...tsk"(Tsk tsk tsk, Paro...You are not understanding anything?...tsk) he shook his head innocently. "Maari patni kitne bholi hai...tu itni bholi kyun hai Paro? Kyun? ...Chal chhod...main batata hoon kya galati ki hai tune aaj...Sumer...Sumer pata hai na tujhe?...woh...woh yaha kone me khada tha...aur tu...tu usse yaha Khada rehne ki vajah de rahi thi...ye." (My wife is so innocent...Why are you so innocent, Paro?Why?...Leave it...let me tell you what your mistake is...Sumer...You know Sumer, right?...He...He was standing in the corner...and you...you were giving him the reason to stay here...this)his both hand braced her slender waist and lifted her off her foot, his mad eyes looking at her confused face. " ye teri Kamar jo tu hamesha aapni chunnari ke peeche chupaye rehti hai...toh aaj besharmo ki tarah tu kyun usse dikha rahi thi, Paro?..." ( This waist of yours which you always keep covered with your chunnari...Then why were you shamelessly providing a view for him, Paro?...)his hot breath burned her soft cheek.

"Maare...maare ko nahi...nahi pata tha...ki...ki wo waha khada tha...maara...maara vishwaas..."(I...I don't know...don't know...that...that he was standing there...believe me..)

"Ah..." he pushed her back. "vishwaas...vishwaas, Paro?...thaara vishwaas karun?...kyun karun?...ek baat bata..."(Believe...Believe, Paro?...Believe you?...Why should I?...Tell me one thing...) he caught her hand and pulled her down on the clothes scattered on the floor, sitting crossed leg in front of her. "Chal...aaj thodi baat karte hai...theek hai?..." (Come...today lets have a little conversation...ok?...) He pulled her close to him, their knees touching each other. "Tujhe kya lagta hai?...main kaun hoon?...kaisa insaan hoon main?...Jallad mat bolna ...woh mujhe pehle se hi pata hain...tu ye bata ...tu maare baare me kya jaanti hain?" (What do you think?...Who I am?... Don't answer Jallad, that I know already...What kind of a person I am?...You tell me...What do you know about me?) Rudra looked at her, expecting her to speak something. But she remained quite. "Paro?...main kuch pooch raha hoon...bol na?...nahi pata?" (Paro?...I am asking something...say na...Don't you know?) Rudra asked. He looked at her face for few seconds as a slow smile come over his lips. And soon a menacing laugh filled the air, he laughed, throwing his head back. "Kamal...Kamal ki baat hai na, Paro?...tu maare se pyaar karti hai...par maare baare me kuch na pata tujhe...koi mat nahi..." (Amazing...Isn't it amazing, Paro?...You love me...but you don't know anything about me...Don't be disheartened...)he patted her shoulder and got up on his feet.

"Main batata hoon na...tu chinta mat kar..." (I will tell you...don't you worry..)He looked down at his wife, who was staring at the floor. "Yaha...yaha dekh Paro..." (Here...look here, Paro...)he ordered, but his order remained unheard. Clenching his teeth he bent down to her level and caught her chin in his strong grip and moved her face up to look at him. "Ha...ab theek hai...ab main thaara pehchaan karata hoon thaare pati se.." (Yes...now it's ok...Now I will introduce you to your husband...)He again stood straight, his shadow covering his wife's tiny form. "Ye ...Ye Rudra Pratap Ranawat!!" He opened his arms. "Ye Rudra Pratab Ranawat mard hai...asli mard...jo khokhle vaade nahi karta...Kabhi nahi!!..." (This...this Rudra Pratab Ranawat is a man...a real man...who don't give empty promises...Never!!...)his roar filled the air. "Jo vaada karta hai wo nibhata hai...aur thaare ko to itne seeddat se vaade diya tha...tu bhool gayi?...Na na, Paro...yaad rakha kar...yaad rakhegi to zindagi aasan lagegi...Toh aaj ke baad yaad rakhna...theek hai?" ( I stand by my promise...And the promises I gave you with so much sincerity...how can you forget that?)he again bent, looking at his wife's silent face. His hand rested on her head. "Yaad rakhna...theek hai, Paro..." (Always remember...alright, Paro...)he patted her head and as he stood up again, he burst into uncontrollable mirth.

"Vishwaas..." (Faith) he laughed. "Bewakoof ladki...hamesha wahi maangti hai jo maare paas na hai...bola tha isse...par samajhti hi na hai..." (Crazy girl...Always asking for the thing I don't have...I have told her...But still she can't understand...)he turned to look at Paro, who was still sitting on the floor. "Paro? Agar smajhne me itni ki muskil ho rahi hai na...toh ek kaam kar...do din pehle ek aasaan raaste bataya tha na maine?...wo pakad le... theek hai..." (Paro? If you are having so difficulty in understanding this...than do one thing...two days ago, I gave you an easy way out, right?...Take that way, ok?...)with that final words, he took the stairs down, putting his one more vow in full action.

How was it? Good? Bad? Do let me know 😊

Awesome update
amazing start.
Rudra is also suffering the same pain which he gives to Parvati.
Truly Parvati, her strength, her faith in herself is amazing and she never broke down even when Rudra accused her for the sins she didn't even could think to commit. His perception for parvati is changing.
Update next part soon

Brilliant, just brilliant! I love how accurately you're able to portray all the characters, it makes the story so much more rounded and complete.
Definitely looking forward to the rest of it, it's very likely I'll be stalking this page so I don't miss the next update ;)
