Everytime I try to post anything beyond, say, 4000 words, the posting page freezes on me. I don't know if I'm limited or a luddite or something Even if it does go through after umpteen tries and deletes, it totally messes up the font and paragraphing. I have to correct each line manually, and even that is touch and go--it drives me crazy. So I give myself a word limit that lets me post easily. The problem is that I write and write and write, and I cannot DO smaller stories since I'm doing several different scenes per update--hence the separate Parts.

As someone who knows my love for cliffhangers (HappilyLost, a lovely newbie, just called me out on it, like a total sweetheart--so gentle she was, too, it made me giggle--she has clearly never followed along with "Perfection" for Arnav/Khushi where I did it for YEARS! hehe) but you know me, so you know it feeds into my own particular psychosis--leaving the story at a point that makes you want to see what happens next!thoda aur intezar---almost done with Part 3.
Koi baat nahi. I'm always up for more. I just read your comment while I was combing through the entire thread right from page 1. I couldn't do that before. Had exams and was outta town. I feel we should get email alerts when someone quotes us yaar. Then I'd never miss a thing.
Manually editing is a horror. I mean normal editing on word I hate. IF has a lot more nakhre.
So listen. I just saw these comments that made it clear that some find such things hard to digest and the torture was too much and such. To which you said that you'd rather write these than sticking to the typical romance genre.
I wanna say something more here. Fanfictions aren't exactly my thing. I don't enjoy them because I feel they dilute the original essence of stories and characters. Harry Potter and ex-show Fanfictions too, I have chosen and read with great intricacy. I'm instantly put off by the wish-fulfilment writings where everything is happy and mellow and roses and chocolates. I'm an avid reader. I study literature. I have sky high standards. Unfortunately, people think I'm elitist and choosy, and plain mean.
But that's not the case. I expect stories not just to be written but to be respected and believed in. There are a lot of writers who write their own thing, and then expect other members to gush about it without really thinking.
See. Each story has a different interpretation with every reader. When you wrote this, Napster, you saw things unfold in your way. That cannot be the same as what I envisioned. Isn't that why film adaptations are such a love-hate thing? You're just upset because they didn't show what you saw in your head.
That is the beauty of fiction. That is the beauty of good stories- each vision works, every reader enjoys it. I saw it first with Perfection and I was instantly intrigued by that. Same is happening now with this series. I'm very selective, sorry about that. But great writing needs encouragement and I'd do it happily for you, Napster. The textural joy in the story is it's unconventionality. I don't mind you writing hard hitting stuff. It's new, fresh, original and heartfelt. You never compromise with the base the show has already provided. What they show on tv is for money and numbers. Quality work can only happen beyond the TV version.
That was long. But I had to say it. Good writing doesn't have a target audience. The audience and readers make books their own.
I'll shut up now. Bye :D
P. S I love you. Never stop writing.
@HappilyLost- welcome to the family! :* :)
