Agree with you mostly but I think a bit differently on this. The episode had some blatant display of sensuality to say the least. But if you look at Rudra, he is an extremist most of the time; be it his patriotism, his intense feelings regarding women and particularly beautiful ones, his increasing awareness of Paro in a different light that is baffling even him, sometimes clouding his judgement, his care for Paro over little things like a nick on her forehead with just a drop of blood oozing out (it wasn't like she had a trickle of blood coming out!), are all pointing to this. Now in Paro he is going to meet his match! Steel for steel!! But burning the hand on the griddle was too much for me! If Paro wanted to protest she could have found many other ways. Hurting oneself is not going to win her any points against the likes of Rudra!

But the point I want to make is that I did not find anything out of character with Rudra. He reacts exactly as he should and moreover when it comes to winning and that too for the cause close to his heart, that is, not to waste his soldiers' sacrifice when he believes Tejawat is the terrorist and he was not wrong in carrying out the mission where under unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances Paro was caught live and had to suffer.
I had been wondering why Paro isn't able to think for once from Rudra's point of view? I understand the trauma she has been going through but given her nature she seems to have happily settled in Rudra's home and have started mingling with his family, taking on their problems, trying to help them when she probably shouldn't be doing so if she is still grieving (supposedly?)!! Why does she have to pounce on Rudra at the slightest opportunity?! Women power! We all know it! Paro has shown that!! But does it mean to protest something you hurt yourself? I found Rudra's action of putting mehendi natural enough, leave aside the power play between the two. He has a valid reason to stoop low as he says. It isn't just the physical superiority that Rudra is establishing here. Paro is forcing him to such lowly acts as seen by us.

Anyway, we as viewers also know the reason for why Rudra is acting the way he is but the blatant show on display yesterday was was too suggestive! Though if you don't attach any sexual connotation to this scene, it would still mean Rudra was manhandling her to put the mehendi on her palms which turned ugly because of Paro's stubbornness. Well all Paro needs is a demo in terms of a fatal attack on her to prove Rudra's point. She came close to seeing Bhima the other day but heck it is a TV serial and secrets aren't revealed so fast even though they are staring at you right in the face!!!

Mozart 🤗❤️ Thank you turning up!! And for showing so brilliantly that we can have difft povs and still be friends.
@ Burning her hands was too much: Completely agreed!! It was an act of madness, desperation, that I cannot condone.
@ Not out of character for Rudra: I think it was an elaboration a stretch too far for me to take. Could he, for instance, have stopped at one hand? Did he need to progress to the other, disregarding her tears and public humiliation? That was the final straw for me.
@ Why doesn't Paro think from Rudra's pov?: Yes I do wish she would. The MU would evaporate quickly, he'd save his job and we could get some real romance. But the CVs will what they will.
@ Last scene was ugly because of Paro's stubbornness: You are partly right there. If she weren't so distressed and hating it, and so broken, that scene wouldn't have been so ugly. Or, Rudra could have softened a little. That would have made it so much more palatable for me.
@ Paro needs to know Rudra's right: Absolutely!! And I want her to learn the Thakur's reality quickly so that the reason to MU from her side is gone.

sanaya as paro was just mindlowing she was not only beautiful but man her face is full of all kind of expression...angry,curious,sad and never to bow down
and you are right thats the best mehendi scene so far

Thank you. 😊 Delighted that my analysis appealed. Yesterday's was indeed a powerful epi - had to be to polarise the forum so much. 😃
Sanaya was superb yesterday!! But I'm afraid I didn't find the Mehendi scene appealing at all. Perhaps tonight will be better. 😊

Thank you, Nancy, for your comment. 😊 Last night was a tumultuous episode to comment on. I do hope it won't affect your enjoyment of the Forum.
First of all let me reiterate that I did not call Rudra a rapist. I commented on the lines he said followed up by the act of invading her hand. It was definitely power play and a public humiliation on a victim who was in no position to prevent it from happening.
And yes you are right that he gave her fair and full warning of his intentions of stooping low to break her. But the question then is does the end justify the means? In this instance, I would say, not at all. There have to be limits to anything (for instance, as an extreme example, would anybody condone rape to breaking her?). Well, for me the limits were exceeded last night. And it was a distressing watch for me.
And knowing that Rudra does care for Paro, I wish the CVs had tempered his ruthlessness with some of that care in that last scene, rather than only triumph/gloating. I would have found it all so much more palatable.

Thanks for taking time out to reply :)
I understand where you are coming from, the same disquiet I also felt from the episode as a woman...and so I felt that was the intent ,to force the very same reaction from Paro, and there in lies his justification...He is only trying to get a reaction blatantly he is trying to repulse her not trying to seduce her
As we have a better understanding of Rudra than Paro I am willing to rationalise it merely.

Even though the word Rapist appears here in the TM's post, I think what she means is not the literal meaning of the word but Rudra being as ugly and threatening as a rapist to invoke fear in Paro which he succeeded to some extent. With a rapist like threat he also had an underlying concern for Paro that if she wiggles her hands too much she may hurt herself more.

Thank you Mozart!! You clarified beautifully. Love ya!!❤️👏

If I liked Rudra in Sindoor, to day he was totally repulsive.

Apart from all that you have written I am having doubts how the love will develop bet these two after the power play today.

Edited..

Thank you Shree for your fine compliment. 😊
I have to agree with you about Rudra in that last Mehendi scene. And yes waiting to see how the CVs cool them off tonight.

FLS

Thank you FLS. 😃 Glad you like it.
Yes I too wondered at how fool-hardy I was being by saying what I did. 😆 But it wouldn't be kept in. I felt too strongly last night to white-wash or dilute. Even so I was restrained.
But I have to say that barring the odd aggressive reaction, this thread at least has been fairly harmonious and mature. So all kudos to the people on this thread really!!

I didn't find the last scene disturbing as Rudro putting Mehndi on Paro hand was to show his dominance on one end but at the other end it was also to relief her from the pain as Henna has healing abilities
The scene where he invades her in kitchen which leads to her burning her hands more disturbing

Thank you. 😊
Glad you didn't find the last scene too disturbing. Kitchen was indeed where he piled on the pressure. He just ruthlessly pressed home his advantage in wrong-footing her over 'sindoor'. And she retaliated by harming herself!! That was a horrible scene indeed!!
I'm hoping for something much nicer in the way of balm from the CVs tonight!! 😃
