HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone!!!

Episode two - The pace was a little slower than the first, and more characters were introduced, starting to flesh out the story. The Bollywood feel stayed, and was reinforced by the grandeur of the scenes, especially the haveli scene and the temple scene. Loved the sweeping shots of the haveli ... I love the grandeur of Rajasthani towns, these were shot most lovingly and beautifully.

So the fire was Paro's dream ... or rather, a recurrent nightmare. One in which the bad guy is a BSD officer with red eyes and a hatred filled heart. She wakes up panting, this is apparently a regular occurrence. So much so that her maamisa sees her fear at a glance ... 'it happened again?'
Her maamisa tries to comfort her, fire can be destructive, but it can also be beautiful ... Paro meekly accepts the comfort ... but that dream was closer than before, too close for comfort, and she is shaken.

Sanaya's accent is already settling into place ... so much so that I want the Rajasthani words to be cut down! Again love her voice modulation ... Paro is a simple, gentle village girl, and Sanaya's voice is soft, her tone and demeanor mild and sweet.
Also loved her clothes ... the white lehnga choli and bright colored dupatta in the first scene, and the purple on in the latter part of the episode.

And as she murmurs to herself, 'those eyes were closer than before, redder than the fire ...' Rudra makes his entry ... or rather, his eyes do.
His battalion scurries to and fro with new information ... five terrorists have entered and killed five jawans. The CO wants Rudra ... Rudra is already out riding his bike across the desert.

Paro and Bindi make their way to the temple where the wedding of a village girl is to be fixed ... to be paid for by the Thakur. A yearly occurrence. Apparently the villagers don't know the wedding is a cover for arms smuggling.

Thakur is busy in his pooja ... the grandeur of the temple and the costumes was impressive. Purple brocade jacket?! And matching purple turban ... kurta and jodhpurs ... the thakur seems to believe in blending tradition and modernity 😆
His wife is the Rajmata, Sadiya Siddiqui ... a fine actress, I like her! 😃 She's better dressed than her husband. 😛

Thakur has to leave the puja to attend to some pressing matters of treachery in the village ... a trifling matter of executing a guy for becoming informer to the BSD. He is wonderful and the annadaata of the village, doing good for everyone .. if only people would let him get on with his gun smuggling in peace.

While the girls get on with the process of getting their name chosen to be the next bride ... Paro's friend proclaims that her groom is on the way ... and Rudra's motorbike zooms across the desert.

The temple rituals continue ... and Paro is the chosen bride. The Rajmata is happy ... she can fulfill her promise to Paro's dead mother.
And Rudra, an officer in that BSD, is riding across the desert into her life.

Paro's character was laid down further today ... she has grown up surrounded by loving relatives and guardians, all aware of her tragedy, united in their hatred for a common enemy, she is the victim of the same enemy ... she gets all the sympathy and affection she needs. But while she is calm and smiling on the surface, the love she has received hasn't rid her of that recurrent nightmare and fear of the dreaded BSD.

I liked the episode alot even though it might look slow, I thought it was needed they finally show Tejawat today 😆 I personally fell Tejawat has something to do with the death of the people on that bus including Paro parents, he seems to turn all villager against BSD. The cinematography is awesome and Sanaya accent sounds fine to me today she nailed all scenes. We still haven't seen Rudra face yet! 😲 Poor Paro is scared of fire I knew this is all a dream because after seeing young Rudra I fell he isn't that cruel at all deep inside he have a heart.

A good episode overall, it sets the pace for what is to come.. Yesterday was the opening and supposed to be a blockbuster but today its a sedate pace we can hope is maintained.. 😊
The ring of fire turns out to Paro's recurring nightmare as predicted by many.. Initially I wondered why they started from so far behind but I guess it was needed for showing the extent of terror Paro suffers from..Sanaya looked a little like Gunjan in the early morning scene.. The mami and her best friend Bindi are so sweet, a good support system for her, although she does hide her pain from them too..

Temple scene was beautiful and had an authentic feel, loving this PH for spending where it is needed.. But why do they have to make the flashbacks look so tacky with a fake gritty appearance??😕 We know its a flashback why the reinforcement.. That apart rest of the cinematography was good..

Rudra's entry seems to be an ongoing event for the whole week.. Rudra aap kab aaoge? Every time Rudra's entry is shown against a sunset/dusk while Paro's entry was with bright daylight in the BG..

Paro's friend seems like she is intended as the comic relief later when things get too intense or may be just a cheerful girl.. Anyway she's cute and looks a very good friend..😆

Thakurain loves Paro and has made a promise to Paro's mother.. I liked this angle a lot.😳. Paro is an orphan but receives love nonetheless.. Rudra may have joined BSD not just out of patriotism but also as a getaway fromhis situation..

Thakur is not in anyway lusting, at least not yet..😉 If anything he seemed quite paternal in his behaviour.. The evil is lurking somewhere beneath and will be out some day but for now he seems rather benevolent..

Paro looked so innocent and happy in the last scene when she is selected.. Poor girl has nocle of what fate has in store for her..

Waiting for tomorrow for Rudra's eventual entry and hopefully the scnes from new promo..

today episode continuation from yesterday with introduction of Thakur and his wife.

Wife is good seems fond of Paro , Thakur is the usual Landlord type guy

More light was shed into Paro charcter especially about her fears, Sanaya was too good in the scene after the nightmare part😊, She was looking very pretty throughout, loving the softness in her voice

I liked the girl playing Paro friend, bubbly type of girl😃

Rudro was on the bike from start to end, he looked very ruthless

so overall a good episode

Main highlight Paro selected for marriage by the blessing of Snake

It was another fast paced and captivating episode..More details were shown today and the side cast were introduced to us as well..

So as we predicted,it was Paro's nightmare, something which has been occurring to her, over the past years. Even the mere act of boiling of water in a kettle, when she sees the flame in the burner , affects her.. Fire in any form is a source of her nightmares ..

Like how Maamisa tactfully tried to explain to her that a fire has different connotations ,trying to change the way how Paro sees it but this is something ingrained in her.. Paro may be a lively bubbly person on the outside but has not been able to come to terms with the horrors of her past..

Tejawat the Landlord.. An air of power, strength, cunning and a born leader amongst the villagers.. He is good to the villagers because they are serving his benefits ,he helps fund the marriages of unmarried girls and acts as a do gooder to all the villagers only so that he is able to get their confidence and also in this way, they will owe him. But a betrayal of any sort only means one thing. Instant death.

Rajmata and Paro seem to be pretty close. She hugs Paro as soon as the ritual is completed, happy that she would be able to fulfill what she had promised Paro's mother's that she would get Paro married.. So Paro's mother and the Rajmata knew each other before ?

As I said in my post,Every time the word Marriage was spoken, parallely, Rudra Pratap Ranawat, riding a bike in the distance,on the desert sands, miles away,is shown.

Both his and her destinies are entwined. If Paro is there,Rudra will be there as well. Destiny. It all comes back to this.

Overall a wonderful episode ! Loved every bit of it ! Looking forward to reading your take,Dia 😳
