Great post Diya. The episode was very interesting. Sanaya was perfect in demonstrating the fear that Paro went through as she dreamed of being harmed by a ring of fire set by a BSD officer. Her fear and dread was very realistic. Paro was almost living in her nightmare until she woke up to realize she was safe and sound. She fears both BSD officers and fire as to her, they have caused the deaths of her parents and she believes that they maybe the reason for her death as well. This is one of the worst fear anyone could live through, the belief that someone is out there to kill you in the most brutal and savage way. She is terrified of meeting such an end yet her aunt reassures her that god will protect her and that fire will not always harm her.

I liked how she had the rudraksh mala. It seems like her people are great devotees of Lord Shiv and they believe that he will always protect them. Even Rudra seems to believe in the power of Lord Shiv. It seems that terrorists are planning to disrupt or wipe out a great portion of the BSD so that they do not have dominant power. So Rudra is appointed to take care of this mission and make sure that all inhabitants are under check. Tejawat does not seem like a sincere man, he is craving for power and dominance and he resists the BSDs who threaten his right as a sole ruler. He portrays himself like a good guy so that the civilians are loyal to him and thus, he gains the power to rule them without retaliation or resistances. He is like any other corrupted official who helps others to hide his crimes or justify it among the people concerned. He seems like a very strict and cruel person. He gives release to his convict, only to kill him after granting him freedom. I reminds me of a saying that one can forgive their enemy but not their right hand man who betrayed them behind their back. Such people shall never be forgiven, Tejawat follows this principle.

Anyways, I liked the mandir scene where Paro, her mami and friend prayed to Lord Shiv and the snake devta. Paro was very happy to hear her name selected as she must have dreamed for this day. It was sweet of Rajmata to bless her. She seems like a very sweet and kind woman unlike her devious husband who deceives his own people.

I was disappointed that Ashish was not shown properly but he looked very handsome on the bike. Sanaya looked stunning in both lehengas. I love her look in this show and she is gracefully slipping into the shoes of Paro. I also liked the performances of Tarun and Sadia.

DiyaS loved your take so the cobwebs has to be removed from both Paro and Rudra's minds one with her nightmares and fear of BSD and other from the fact that beautiful women are betrayers and have no affection

Happy new year to all my friends !

Just came back home after my new years tamasha and what do I do ...come to IF . 😆

Loved the episode today . To me yesterday was the explosive impact , with introduction of rudra and paro and giving us the overall feel of the show ...the rajasthani landscape , the raw terrain etc.

Today was the beginning of the narration of the actual story . I liked the pace at which it is unfolding and the way new characters are being introduced. Both thakursa and his wife are impressive. Tarun has a great presence and personality and seems well cast . Sadia ofcourse seems to play a lovely regal lady and is a fine actor.

The first scene where paro wakes up from her nightmare and rushes to wash her face , with mamisa trying to comfort her was nice. Really liking how sanaya is playing this role ...I like this subdued , calm , innocent paro ...I have never seen sanaya as gunjan ...so this is really different for me.

The mandir scene was beautiful ...in terms of camera work and loved the way showed how the girls are eager to get married . Sanaya was wonderful again as the shocked / happy / shy beautiful paro ...when she found out that it is her who is going to get married in a week. She was looking so pretty in purple.

Their was less of ashish in today's episode but loved the scene in which he is the lone ranger in the sands of rajasthan and the camera is at superfast speed ...tomorrow I think will be his episode 😃

A scene which stayed in my mind was when paro touches her rudraksh on her wrist ...the next scene shows rudra with the rudarksh on his wrist , driving his bike .

Their is a lot of subtlety in the show and a lovely lyrical quality to the entire episode in terms of camera work , the oh so beautiful song which I am humming all the time .and lovely dialogues ...so far loving the show , let's see how long do the creatives maintain this standard. 😊

Guinea 🤗 Was waiting for your take!

I first saw Sanaya as Gunjan, so it was Khushi which was the shocker ... never knew she could play that so well! I'm loving Paro so far .. she is soft, gentle, the perfect foil for the rugged Rudra ... and I KNOW Sanaya can do this beautifully, as this type of character was what got me attracted to her acting in the first place. Awesome, considering it is so far removed from her real personality!

I like Sadia as an actress, loved her as Radha in SGP, so I'm looking forward to her here. Never seen the thakur before, he made an instant impression.

Loved your take on the rudraksha that both of them wear ... another connection between them? The cvs are building the bonds slowly and delicately.
I'm looking forward to the second Rudra Paro meeting ... in the first meeting, Rudra was in distress, and Paro reached out to comfort him ... in the second meeting, she will be in distress, and he will reach to save her ... I would love it if the cv's continued the relationship the same way, alternating between the two roles for both.

The other thing I loved last night was the cinematography ... beautiful locales, beautifully captured. The grandeur and the color of Rajasthan, the havelis, the colorful costumes ... all on a very grand scale, the movie feel stayed in this episode as well.

Todays episode was amazing! We discovered a lot about every character and got to know a lot more about the concept of the show. There is a lot hidden behind that dream of Paro which I think will be disocvered later on but I think now something may happen that will change a lot of things in her life as she said today that for the first time she saw that mans eyes aswe. I guess Paro and Rudra are gonna meet very soon and may even get married😉
The mandir scene was definately the bst scene of todays episode and sanaya looked soo adorable in that purple dress and this was the first time I saw something like this. I really liked how all of the girls were eager to see whos bowl the serpent drinks the drink from- whcih was our Paro😳 It is soo exciting to know that Paro will get married in a week and that will be the turning point..
Thakurji is a really interesting character and im sure theres a lot hidden behind him. I dont think he is a fully grey shaded character..the way he talked to the villager today was very confusing as he had lots of emotions on his face at that time and I was shocked when his mans killed the villager😲
I think tomorrow will be Rudras introduction and I cant wait for that now! In the precap, the way he was driving his bike with no fear noticable at all on his face was really nice to watch..i gues tomorrow will be a totally Rudra and Paro episode😳 And the thing I like the most about thsi drama is its BG music..it has got such intense meaning to it and has already won my heart👏 Now i really cant wait for tomorrows episode⭐️

Thanks for posting ... nice to see new names here 😃 And nice post!

I wonder if she will recognise the eyes ... I don't think so, I think she will first see Rudra as the saviour, from the promo where he saves her from the goons. And then her wedding, where he kills her husband ... the main story starts there, I guess. Now they are just laying the background for both Rudra and Paro, and the supporting characters. Since most of the characters are grey, it will be interesting to see the layers peel away slowly.

I had heard of this ritual about giving a nag milk to drink ... don't know if there is actuallya ritual where the bride is chosen by the nag 😆 But it was an interesting way to bring in the Thakur and his hold over the village ... how he keeps them under control, and also runs his gun smuggling activities.

The music is really fab ... I'm never tired of saying that! The title song is very lilting and catchy! 👏

A good second episode, though a little slow paced and less dramatic compared to yesterdays. I liked the pace today, it was apt as they had to introduce the other characters.
Sanaya was as usual brilliant in all the scenes today, loved the scene after she woke up from her nightmare, and was recollecting what she saw. Mamisa's character is nice, like how she supports Paro.
Thakur seems scary, seems like he is involved in all the smuggling and the village people see him as their protector.
Love the Thakurian though, Sadiya Siddiqui is a brilliant actress, loved her as Radha Bua in SGP. Looking forward to see more of her.

Again we see no proper scenes/dialogues of Rudra, just him riding on his bike throughout the episode (looking hot 😳). Hope to see his dhamakedaar entry scene tomorrow.

Lastly, I have to mention this, but seems like Sanaya has lost a bit too much weight after shooting in Rajasthan, hope she puts some of it back on(though she still looks just as beautiful). She was also better with her accent today. Pretty much expected as shes a fast learner.

Finally a very HAPPY NEW YEAR to all,

Great post ... thanks for posting!!! You echoed many of my thoughts ... I love Sadia as Radha bua, am looking forward to seeing her here ... she brings many shades into her character, so it will be worth watching. Have never seen the thakur before, but I was impressed by his screen presence. Very good choice for the role ... that was my instant reaction ... despite the purple brocade coat 😛

Sanaya was lovely today ... the character of Paro is slowly emerging and solidifying ... a girl traumatized by her past, by the brutal loss of her parents ... despite the affection surrounding her, she has not got over the loss, it's burned deep into her soul. Although she tries to mask it with smiles for those who love her, but the pain is deep seated. Felt like reaching into the screen and giving her a big hug. Her shy smile at the end was so sweet!!!

I also feel she has lost a bit too much weight with the Rajasthan shoot, hope she puts it back on in Mumbai!

Rudra was riding his bike the entire episode ... a long journey! 😆 Waiting for his dhamaakedar entry today 😛

Yes...Tarun Khanna is a good actor and he looks good too. Loved him in Mahadev.
And he looks amazing in RR as well.

I watched both the episodes today.

My gosh, Sanaya looks so beautiful in the Rajasthani costume.

This serial has a lot of my favorites - Sanaya, Tarun Khanna...and they showed the people praying to Lord Shiva AND the protagonists are named after my favorite 'Isht' Devi and Dev...😳

Lets see how the story progresses.

So far it looks very promising.

Yep, looking good so far .. hope they don't make it too dark though.

Rudra and Paro ... your favorites 😆

Sanaya looks beautiful, and I am loving her character as they bring it out. All the actors so far are great, so its a very enjoyable watch.

ST wasn't kidding when he spoke about the budget of this show.Hope the movie feel can be recreated to some degree in a Mumbai studio. I worry that we're being spoiled and that in a couple of weeks when the Rajastan footage will have been shown we're going to miss it but hopefully by then the story will have taken over.

Yesterday I wanted to jump into my tv to give little Rudra a hug and today I wanted to jump in and do the same for Paro in the tea making scene. Both Paru and Rudra's pain could have been healed but was fueled by hatred. In Rudra's case his fathers hatred of beautiful women and in Paros fear and hatred of the BSD by the whole village. When Sanaya emotes pain you feel it and like you said Dia it's probably due to the subtlety with which she does it that draws you in when a louder more melodramatic performance would just be something to watch.
I loved the Rudraksh symbolism and the way in which Paro clutches the bracelet because although Rudra will initially cause her pain he is also the one who'll wipe her tears. According to Wiki . Rudra means the one who weeps. A () means to receive and ksha () means to give. Hence, aksha () denotes the ability to receive or give. Rudraksha is the one that has the ability to wipe our tears and provide happiness.
The Thakur is an unknown quantity, I wonder if at some level he does care about the well being of the villagers or is it a ruse to keep them in his control in his battle against the BSD. ST says the Thakur is grey so somewhere along the line he might actually care. All said and done Tarun Khanna cuts a fine figure as the Thakur. The temple scene was beautiful esp, the aarti scene. Sanaya's reaction to the snake drinking from her bowl was again perfect. Surprise then shyness and happiness taking their place.
Oh I forgot I really like the control room scene...it really felt like I was watching some army based movie.

Lovely take, Jaya!!! 👏

@red ... loved that part ... it had not struck me before you put it in those words. The hatred in Rudra's life is out in the open ... a harsh father, taunts of his classmates, unfeeling teachers, no softness or warmth in his life at all ... so he has grown up harsh and unfeeling.

Paro on the surface seems to have fared better ... but the loss of her parents has been deeply burned into her psyche too ... and the fear is intensified by the dread of the BSD instilled by the thakur into every villager. The incident remains as a terrifying nightmare, and she has never got over it ... her nightmares are regular occurrences, going by Maamisa's words.

Today was delving into Paro's character ... my favorite Sanaya is when she underplays emotions, she brings to them a subtlety which is unparalleled and is very, very effective ... very uncommon on Indian tv with its surfeit of melodrama. The subtlety in her acting is what first drew my attention and made me a fan of her acting, and I am really thrilled to see it back. Felt like reaching into the screen and hugging Paro ... the shy soft smile at the end stayed with me after the episode was over. I think the little Paro was probably chosen for that smile ... she had the same sweet shy smile as Sanaya did as Paro.

Rudraksha ... interesting interpretation ... Rudra will be the one to give Paro tears, and to wipe them too. Also according to the Rudra Parvati equation, Parvati is the only one who can calm the anger of Rudra ... and we saw that in the bus scene ... where the little Paro was the first to reach out and touch the bleeding heart of little Rudra. Am looking forward to this equation ... let's see how they develop it ... and whether they develop it the way I'm hoping.

The thakur and thakurain were introduced today ... important characters, and the actors are good ... today was just the first layer, lets see how they develop.
