Shaan: about Khanak??! (anxious)

Dhruv: Don't worry, its just about her exams'.

Shaan just listens'His expression is inscrutable'

Dhruv: you know Shaan, jab voh medical ki final year main thi, I had given her all the instructions and I had trained her'

Shaan is suspicious'

Shaan: so?? don't worry about Khanak, Dhruv!! (cold)

Dhruv: oh yeah!! I know that very well!! I mean when I met her yesterday, she was too tensed'(casual)

Shaan: you met her yesterday??

Dhruv: yeah!! I just wanted you to ask Dr. Lata for mock tests, you know'

Shaan wonders why Khanak didn't tell him'He's looking lost'

Dhruv: Shaan!! Did you hear me'???

Shaan: oh!! Mock tests'

Dhruv: you see I know Khanak very well, if she starts attending these tests, she'll be prepared to attend the main exam'

For some reason, it enrages Shaan, he didn't like the tone of Dhruv, and how he said that he knew Khanak very well' Shaan just wanted to be the sole person in her life'and yes, Aayush'

Shaan very well knows that, Dhruv is just a caring friend of Khanak, but isn't Khanak is now Shaan's responsibility, is he wrong in thinking like this??? Has he become more possessive about Khanak?? Not sure'.but, when she mentions about Raj, he didn't have any problem, but what is it with Dhruv???

Shaan: (after a long pause) Thanks Dhruv!! Atleast you came to me' I'll talk to Dr.Lata, before that, I've to ask Khanak'

Dhruv: I know Khanak, will be fine with it'.(gets up) Ok then Shaan, I'll leave'(extends his hand)

Shaan gets up too, shakes his hand gently'Dhruv leaves'

Shaan seats back in his seat'He did know everything about them, that they are close friends, they were at a verge of getting engaged, if not for that accident, they would have been together'

Shaan silently thanks god for that accident, but why this issue is getting him on his nerves'.He's agitated'Just, what could be the reason?? His phone rings, he receives it unmindful'

Shaan: Hello?!

Caller: May I speak to Dr. Shantanu Khandelwal!!! (a, sweet voice, most importantly, it's the voice he wanted to hear now!!)

Shaan: Yes!! this is Dr. Shantanu Khandewal!! Go on Mrs. Khandelwal?? (smiles)

Khanak: hey!! Am I disturbing you??

Shaan: Khanak'kya hua??

Khanak: kuch bhi toh nahi!!

Shaan: kuch bhi nahi?? Toh phir call kyun kiya??

Khanak: kyun main call nahi kar sakthi??

Shaan: aisa nahi Khanak'

Khanak: anyways, mujhe joh kehna tha woh toh main kehke chodongi'

Shaan waits for her'

Khanak: you should come early to home'(not asking)

Shaan: is that an order??

Khanak: tumhe joh samajna hain samjho, but I want to see you before 7!!!

Shaan: ok!! Badle main mujhe kya milega??

She knows the implication, she blushes, Shaan knows that, he smiles'

Khanak: ek surprise!! (husky)

He clears his throat, as he feels like as though he's seated on a hot seat'

Khanak: I know Shaan, what you are thinking, for your kind information, surprise is from Aayush'(smiles smugly)

Shaan: Aayush ki surprise?!

Khanak: yes!! so be on time'

Shaan: ok!! What have you planned??

Khanak: late night studies!! (giggles)

Shaan: oh you want to call it like that'.(broadly smiling)

They would go on, pulling each other's leg, but he was summoned to go to OT'They both hang up'

Khanak goes back to her studies'She continued to study in the manner how Shaan had told her'

Shaan for time being had forgotten that, he was not feeling good about Dhruv'

Khanak on the other hand, is not feeling good either, if her thesis gets published, then her half work is done, but getting it published, is the challenge'

But, asusual, she's very nervous, she's feels like as though, this year its not her turn'.For some reason, she feels like she's messing up everything, everything???

She had decided to take a break, after her 5 hours of monolog study!!

She walked to dadi's room, Madhvi and Khushboo had gone out for shopping'.

She knocks the door of dadi'.Dadi was reading something'

Khanak: Dadi, can I come in?? (standing at the door way)

Dadi: arrey andar aao beta, tumhe mere kamre mein aane ke liye permission lene ki zaroorat nahi hain'

Khanak: (enters in, sits on the bed) kya main aapki godh main so sakthi hun??

Dadi: haan beta!! (Khanak sleeps calmly on dadi's lap, Dadi smiles, and rubs her head)

Dadi: darr lag raha hain??

Khanak: hmm'

Dadi: mujhe pata hain, meri Khanak first aayegi'(confident)

Khanak chuckles, her eyes closed'

Dadi: kuch aur baat karni hain??

Khanak: (wonders, how dadi can read her mind) hmm'dadi, I fear that I main'

Dadi: fail?? Aisa kyun soch rahi ho beta??

Khanak: pata nahi dadi!! Agar main fail hogayi na'

Dadi: nahi beta aisa kuch nahi hoga, mera Shaan hain na, tumhare saath'

Khanak: hmm'phir bhi'

Dadi: kuch nahi hoga'abb tum thodi dher ke liye so jaon..

Khanak: nahi mujhe bahut kuch padna hain!! Raat ko bhi Shaan ne suladiya tha'(blurts out, after telling she realizes, she twitches her lips)

Dadi broadly smiles'

Khanak: shayad aap teek keh rahi hain!! Kya aap mujhe ek ghante ke baad uta dhenge??

Dadi: haan!! Agar maine tumhe nahi utaya na, Aayush toh tumhe uta hi dega!! (knows very well)

Khanak smiles and settles back on the lap of dadi'.
