Part 61

Around midnight, he can't feel her near him, he usually finds her lying on his chest, but she's not there, he stretches for her, she's nowhere, he wonders whether its already morning, opens his eyes, looks at the time, its around 1, looks in the direction of bathroom, he can't hear any sound'

Gets up from the bed, wears his clothes, steps out of the room, first goes into Aayush's room, Aayush is sleeping with his legs stretched, his blanket has fallen down, Shaan covers him with the blanket, ruffles his hair in fond, and leaves the room by closing the door slowly'

He wonders where she is.. he can see light coming from the upper floor of the living hall, he walks there'.

And there she is, he leans over the wall and watches her, she's seated on a single sofa, her lappy is on, its placed on the table, a text book lying in front of her, she's searching for something in the book and in net, she doesn't seem to be tired, it feels like as though she can go for more hours, Shaan starts walking towards her'seats on another single sofa, next to hers'

Khanak: kya hua?? Neend nahi aa rahi hain?? (softly)

Shaan is just looking at her, his chin rested on his hand, his elbow anchored on his knee'

When she doesn't get any answer, looks at his direction, finds him looking at her'

Khanak: what?? Before he could answer'

Khanak: I can't sleep when I've got lots to do'

Shaan: why didn't you tell??

Khanak: what??

Shaan: that you're worried, tensed, nervous'.(knows her very well)

She just opens her mouth to tell something, but shuts herself and focuses on the screen of lappy'

Shaan: get the book'its no use of reading the book right now, did you get the old question papers??

Khanak: yes!! (shows him)

Shaan: I'll tell the question, you write the answer, mind you, you have to finish it in 20 mins'

Khanak: (shocked) 20 mins, are you crazy!! Ek ek answer dus dus page aata hain'

Shaan: ok, since you're doing it for first time, take 30 mins'.No more arguments (when she starts to protest)

He dictates the question, she writes the answer as fast as she can, he has heard a lot about her, he did investigate about her, she happened to be the second topper of her college, first place was always taken by Raj, that's not important in life, for doctor's, how they'll treat a patient is more important, scoring without applying to the field, doesn't fetch you anything'She had succeeded in that part, patients would ask for her, when she was supposed to be a resident doctor, that's what it was needed'

He knows that, she won't be failing in gaining the fame'who knows after sometime, she may give competition to him also, she's not the one who'll lose and blame it on others'nope!! She's not that type of girl!!

She had finished that answer, when Shaan was lost in thoughts, she had shaked her hands in front of him to get him back, he goes through her answer, though she had scribbled, her handwriting seems to be attractive, neat and good'He goes through the answer, and tells her what more should be added, in medical field an answer never can be completed'Its just add the points whatever you've experienced, what new things tell, and yes the book!! Which we believe as bible or bagavadgita or khurana!!

They go on like that, after about 4 hours, he starts to yawn, looks at her, she's leaning back on the sofa, in the verge of sleeping, but not yet, she rubs her eye'

Sleep is also an important factor, to remember things; a nice 4 hours sleep is required'

Without asking her he keeps the book side, takes the papers from her places it on the table, she looks at him startled, he closes the lappy, stands up'

Shaan: chalo, abb so jathe hain'

Khanak: but'

Shaan: chalo Khanak!! (She gets up too, he gets hold of her hand)

They walk back to their room, closes the door, both of them gets on the bed, she snuggles closer to him, and he wraps his arms around her'

Khanak: Shaan'

Shaan: shh'sleep Khanak!!

That's it, she settles in his arms and both are lost in the wonderland'

Morning they are disturbed by the morning alarm, she gets out of his grip, he continues to sleep, she freshens herself, looks at the sleeping form of her husband, smiles, bends down and kisses him on his husband and whispers'

Khanak: you are the best husband a women could have'

After that, goes to Aayush, she wakes him up, he goes to the washroom with half opened eyes, she arranges his books in his bag, after that goes back to her room, Shaan is still sleeping..

Khanak: Shaan!! (seats herself on the bed, beside him)

Shaan, gets hold of her hand, puts it under his cheek, Khanak is not surprised nor amused'

Khanak: Dr. Shantanu Khandelwal, aapko late nahi ho raha??

He doesn't reply, trying to appear as though he is asleep'.

Aayush enters in (without any knock), Khanak looks at the door way..

Aayush: papa is still sleeping'

Khanak: I don't think so'

Shaan: good morning Aayush!! (still eyes closed)

Aayush: good morning!! (amused, climbs on the bed, he's all dressed in his uniform)

Aayush: aur mujhe lag raha tha, ki aaj aap mujhe chodoge'.(Shaan shots open his eyes now, Aayush is smiling, Khanak shrugs)

Shaan: achcha?! (he's up, leaves Khanak hand)

Aayush: joking!! (smiles broadly) Shaan relieves'

Aayush: aaj dadi ke saath, dadi ne promise kiya ki aaj voh mujhe chocolate khilayegi'(winks, Khanak glares at Aayush, Shaan smiles)

Shaan: meri mom ke saath ya phir mere dad ki mom ke saath??

Aayush: mera dadaji ki mom ke saath!!

Khanak: Aayush..

Aayush: pata hain mom, sirf ek hi khaaonga!!

Shaan pulls him and makes him sit on his lap'Khanak gets up from the bed'

Shaan: arrey wah!! Aap toh bahut clever hain!!

Aayush: beta kiska hain!! (winks at Khanak, she shakes her head, Shaan chuckles)

Shaan: That's right!!

In the meanwhile, Harilal comes to call Aayush, Aayush leaves after kissing his mom and papa good bye, Khanak follows Aayush down'.

He had reached hospital in time, when Khanak had returned back to the room, he had tormented her, holded in his arms, she had fighted a lot, as she was not in the mood'

Shaan: now who's lieing??

After a good hour in the morning, he enters his cabin, to find Dhruv seated in his cabin, Shaan is not sure whether he should be happy or not, though he smiles seeing at him'

Shaan: hey dhruv!! What a surprise??!! (takes his seat)

Dhruv: Nice to see you Shaan!! (smiles)

Shaan: Same here!! (smiles) So what's going on??

Dhruv straightens himself'

Dhruv: I wanted to talk about Khanak!! (serious)

Shaan: about Khanak??! (anxious)

shaan didn find khanak beside him when he stretched his hand to find her, he went to Aayush room n found conforter slips and he cover him, this part was very sweet
Khanak is studing finding some thing in a book n net, kya baat hai khanak u knew without looking at him keh he is siting next to u
shaan was right past papers are very important to solved then reading books every time
he dictate question n told her to answer in 20 min khanak was shocked 10 paper answer in 20 minutes as
timing is very important in exams

after some time they left n curdle in each others arm

morning scene was lovely
shaam was awake n pretend to sleep taking her hand on his cheeks
Aayush entry was nice loved it their talk khanak glances to Aayush all were very cute
