He's late, this is happening first time in his life, when he promises to be at a time, he'll be there'But today he was badly tied up and for his fate, even his car had given up, his car had got punctured'He has asked his Dad's driver to pick him up, finds that, his dad is out of town'.Aaj kal Shaan ki dimaag main, sirf do hi naam chal raha hain, his wife and his son!!!

He's now looking for cab on the busy street of Mumbai, its already past 7'Khanak has not called him after that morning one, he wonders she must be hoping mad..who knows she might be also as cool as cucumber..can't predict her!! H e smiles, thinking about her..her tantrums, her teasing, her cute face, when she wants him to do something '

A verna slides in front of him, he's brought out of his wife's thoughts'A serious looking man, with specticals steps out the car, Shaan knows well the person, as he had met him today itself at the hospital'The new neurosurgeon'Dr'Shaan can't remember the name'He had met a hand full of people today, and this guy's name is now out of his memory bounds'.But, Shaan smiles at the man, he returns it to'

Man: Hey!! Dr. Shantanu Khandelwal!! Right?? (extends his hand)

Shaan: right!! You are our new neurosurgeon right?? (shakes his hand) Sorry I don't remember the name!! (sheepish)

Man: That's fine!! You are a busy man, I get it!! And the name is Aman!!

Shaan: oh!! Thanks!!

Aman: So, what's wrong?? (looks at Shaan's car)

Shaan: oh, not a big thing, its punctured!! Just looking for a cab' (casual)

Aman: oh!! I can leave you at your place, if you don't mind!! (hesitant)

Shaan: ok!!(smiles) then I insist you to have dinner at my place'.

Both of them get on the car, Shaan likes the company, they talk about their education, their work, new interests all along the way, they get to the Kandelwal mansion in no time'They are welcomed by the servant, it seems like the house is in a buzz'.

There's lot of chattering from the kitchen area, Shaan just moves in, offers Aman a seat, before he could ask Harilal, what's happening?! He saw Khanak coming downstairs, she too looked at him, she's wearing a reddish orange chudidhar, she smiled at him, he too returns it'.

Khanak: Hey!! (moves towards him, but notices Aman, slows down)

Shaan: hey!! Sorry, I know im late'

Khanak: That's fine!! Waise I think you are supposed to apology Aayush'

Shaan: Aayush!! Where is he?? (looks around)

Khanak: you can't guess!!

Aman clears his throat, to inform that even he's present, Shaan and Khanak looks at Aman'Shaan smiles'

Shaan: Khanak, this is Dr.Aman!! new neurosurgeon in our hospital'.And Aman, this is, Khanak, my wife!! (his left hand around her shoulders)

Khanak: (remembers about the guy very well) yeah!! Dr.Aman!! I just heard about your clot operation'Congrats on that!!

Aman: that's fine!! (embarrassed)

Khanak: no!! its great'I mean stoping a person's heart beat for 45 mins and finding the clot in the brain, within such a limited time and clearing it!! It's really awesome!!! (very much impressed) right??? (looks at Shaan)

Shaan: Yeah!! Its amazing!! (impressed too)

Aman: you guys are embarrassing me!! I've done this before in Melbourne..so its good!!(casual) (Shaan is very much stunned, Khanak is surprised hearing that he's from Melbourne, but she can't care more, when she's got a guy from London!!)

They are disturbed by'

Madhvi: arrey Khanak beta yaha kya kar rahi ho?? (sees Shaan and Aman, stops in her tracks, as she's wearing the kitchen apron and she's got a little atta on her face, Khanak is stunned this time, seeing her MIL in this attire, Shaan is shocked to see his mom)

Madhvi: Arrey Shaan tum aa gaye!! Aur yeh?? (to Aman) tumhara dost hain!! Nice to see you beta!! (smiles to Aman)

Khanak: Mom, yeh sab kya hain??

Madhvi: arrey haan!! Khanak do minute zara chalo andar (makes Khanak moves towards the kitchen..)

Khushboo comes out, Khanak is surprised to see her like this too'Khushboo is also in the same attire as her MIL is'Khanak can't stop her face brimming into big smile'

Khanak: bhabhi aap bhi?? Ho kya raha hain?? Aur Aayush kahan hain?? I can't see him in his room'

Khushboo: Aayush, andar hain na'(coolly)

Khanak: Aayush is in the kitchen??

Madhvi: haan beta!! Voh surprise yaad hai na tumhe??

Khanak: ek minute!! He's in kitchen!?! And that's the surprise??

Shaan: (has followed, Aman is in the living hall) What Aayush is in kitchen?? Why would that be?? (looks at Khanak, she shakes her head, in a way telling that, she doesn't know anything)

Boy in talk comes out'He's wearing an apron too, with the chef's cap on his head, he has got spoon in his hand, he's standing as though he's the main chef'

Aayush: papa aap agaye!! Aap baitho'(makes Shaan sit) Khanak is just looking at Aayush, as though she's seeing some specimen, she wonders whether its Aayush or not'Shaan is shocked too'

Shaan: Aayush!! What's all this?? (Aman is interested on the talk going, he has also walked to the dining area, wonders how can the kid is calling Shaan as papa?!)

Aayush: papa aap waise, aadhe gante late hain!!! Khanak is just looking'

Shaan: im so sorry Aayush, actually tire got punctured, aur mujhe Aman uncle (pointing to Aman) ne drop kiya hain!!!

Aayush: koyi baat nahi dad!!! Mom toh hamesha late hothi thi'(shrugs)

Khanak: were you cooking???(suspicious)

Aayush: not cooking mom!! Baking!!! (smiles broadly)

Khanak: (wide opens her eyes) baking ya breaking??? What did you do Aayush?? (horrified, turns to the kitchen)

Aayush: uff ho mom!! Main kuch break nahi kiya!!! (Khanak turns back) aap dadi se pooch lo!!

Madhvi: haan Khanak!! Don't worry sab teek hain!!!

Shaan is calm; he gets hold of Aayush's hand'

Shaan: Aayush!! What's all this?? (softly)

Aayush: papa, aise hi!! (shrugs)

Shaan: aise hi??

Aayush: mujhe laga ki mujhe aap ke liye kuch karna chaiyiye hain, iss liye cake banaya hain!!! (asks harilal to get it, Harilal gets it, it's a fruit cake!!)

Shaan is surprised, Khanak is shocked, Madhvi and Khushboo are proud!! Harilal, just smiles'Aman just looks over the expression of the family'

Shaan: yeh mere liye hain?? (extremely happy, Aayush nods sweetly, Shaan hugs his son)

Aayush: you're the best papa in the whole world!!!

Shaan: (moves out of the hug) yeh sab karne ki kya zaroorat thi?? Agar harilal ko bhol diya ho toh, voh karlete na'agar aapko kuch hogaya ho tho??!! (softly)

Aayush: kuch nahi hua hain!! Itne saare assistants ke hote hue mujhe kuch ho saktha tha kya!!

Shaan: (chuckles) Assistants??

Aayush: haan!!! Dadi, Khushboo aunty, Hari uncle!!!

Shaan shakes his head'.Khanak just stares at her son'

Aayush: arrey pehle cake toh khato!!!

Shaan cuts the cake, Aayush feeds him and waits in anticipation'

Shaan chews on it'.He have no words!!

Aayush: kya hua??achchi nahi hain?? (disappointed)

Shaan: nahi!! Bahut achci bani hain!! (feeds some to Aayush)

They both sense at the same time, that Khanak is not saying a word, they both smile at each other, Shaan gets up with a piece of cake, Aayush takes some too'They both turn towards Khanak, Khanak is lost in her own thoughts'on an after thought, Shaan picks up Aayush in his arms, and they both at the sametime, take the piece towards Khanak's mouth, Khanak is strartled, she takes the piece from both of them with a smile'

Khushboo and Madhvi are happy too' They all get the cake'even Aman too'Dadi joins them later'Akshay and Sunil are out, they'll be late'

Dinner was served by Khanak, all of them eats happily'.Aman leaves'

Back to Shanak's room'

Khanak enters back to the room, after making Aayush sleep'She had been extremely happy seeing Aayush bond with Shaan!! What more she could wish for herself in her life'

She sees Shaan sitting with her papers, she smiles, closes the door' She has changed, she's wearing a black tee with cream shorts, which is upto her knee'Even he has changed into his track pants'.

Shaan: Khanak, I've got more notes!! May be this will help you more'.(he's sitted on the bed, Khanak slowly makes her way towards him' stands next to him, bends down and peers into the papers' Shaan looks at her, her hair crowding her one side face'her fingers puts them back of her ear'.her mangalsootr sways'he shakes his head as though it'll clear his thoughts'.

Khanak: yeh teek hain Shaan!! Kya yeh tumhare notes hain?? (curious)

Shaan: kind off!!! I had written them long back'

Khanak: hmm..interesting!!! (she takes the papers from him and starts pacing the room, he watches her, she turns around to him every now and then posing him with questions, he answers some of it'some he doesn't know, promises her to get the answer for her)

After long hours of studying'she looks at him, he has not held her once, when he focuses on his profession, he doesn't think about anything'She moves more closer to him, seats herself opposite to him, he starts breathing audibly, but still doesn't look at her, she's too closer for him'

She's closely looking at him'his hairs, falling on his forehead, his eyes, his pointing nose, his lips, his cheeks, his ears'.

She slowly runs her index finger on his ear's pinna'he sucks his breath in, and closes his eyes'She knows that very well, he gets too much aroused whenever she touches him, she hides her giggle'.

Traces her fingers on his cheek, he opens his eyes, they both look at each other intensely'She moves more closer'his eyes focuses on her lips'as he thinks she will kiss him, her eyes glitter with mischief, bites her lower lip, suddenly gets up from the bed, Shaan is shocked, she hides her laughter, and once again starts to focus on the papers in her hand, she acts to appear normal'Shaan walks to her'

Shaan: Now what was that???

Khanak: what?? (innocent)

Shaan: Khanak?!!!

Khanak shrugs and passes by him, covers her mouth to avoid her amusement'Shaan very well knows that she's playing with him' He gets hold of her hand, pulls her, she hits him with a force, his hands wraps around hers, but not before placing the papers on the table'her arms go around his neck slowly'

Shaan: you are a quite good actor!!

Khanak: ofcourse iam!! (winks at him)

Shaan: aaj shayad, madam ko mood hain!!!

Khanak: I think so'.(broadly smiles)

Shaan: toh phir der kiss baat ki??!! Hmm'(brings her more closer'..sudddenlt something strikes him)

Shaan: arrey haan, before I forget, would you like to have mock tests??

Khanak: Mock test??? Shaan im not yet prepared yet!! (scary)

Shaan: abhi nahi Khanak, shayad ek hafte baad'(hopeful)

Khanak: but still'.(moves out of the embrace'and goes and stand near the window)

Shaan: (very well knows that, she's not ready yet, moves towards her, stands behin her, hols her shoulders in his hands) Khanak you can do it!!! (confident)

Khanak: I don't think so!!!

Shaan: I know so!!

Khanak leans back on him, he allows her to lean, his arms wounds around her belly'..

Shaan: what's wrong Khanak?? Why are you so afraid???

Khanak: this is my first exam without my parents'.(looking outside the window, fingers her mangalsootr)

Shaan just allows her to talk'and listens to her'

Khanak: jab bhi main exam ke liye late nights kart hi, mom hamesha mera saath jaagthi thi, aur dad would take care, that I get up early in the morning during my exams'.and bhaiyya, he would tease me, which would leave me fully awaken'.

Shaan: hmm' im not bad actually'

Khanak: what?? (pulled out of her thoughts)

Shaan: aur nahi toh kya?!! Main teen teen logon ka kaam kar raha hun!!! (mocks)

Khanak: kaise?? (turns and looks at him)

Shaan: see even im doing late nights, aur main hi tho tumhara alarm clock hun, and I also know how to keep you awaken all the day!!! (grins)

Khanak slowly smiles'

Khanak: voh toh hain!!

Moves out of his embrace once again, picks the papers on the bed, places them carefully everything inside her book'

Khanak: (climbs on the bed) aaj toh bahut hectic tha!! (readies herself to sleep)

Shaan: Khanak!!! (softly, she looks up at him, his eys are glittering, she wonders')

He also gets on the bed, pulls her on him, claims her lips with his'she at first is shocked'then starts responding to him, he makes her lie down, hovers over her'.his hands start with the job, she's holding him closely to her'Both are lost in their fantastic land'.
