(correct me if im wrong. it's been ages since i watchd that episode!) and they wer pleased wid that info that they wre kshatriye! and not the sons of an ordinary man! yet it is said that in reality they knw that they were the sons of Sita-Ram, as per Valmiki Ramayan. again, pls correct me if its wrong. In Valmiki Ramayan, Sita was known as Sita only. She did not have, or need, a disguise, because Ashrams were peaceful places where the ugly talk of the Ayodhyavasis would not torment Sita and the people of Valmikiji's ashram would treat Sita with love and care no matter who she was. I don't know about Ramcharitmanas though. Does anyone know if Sita was known as Sita or Vandevi in RCM?

Question:
Are sagars making the story-line or are they showing these stories taken frm another versions? confused! are these Durdant and naaglong stories true? I honestly don't know. From the stories Khalrika has made available to us, it seems as if the Sagars have used many scenes from Ananda Ramayana. The only Ramayanas I'm acquainted with are Valmiki, Ramcharitmanas, and Adhyatma. And even for those, I'm always full of doubts.😊

the way the story is being shown, one can assume that LK were very naughty boys, and their mother was always in worry jus coz of them! but i guess this was not the case, as they wre very calm, yet brave boys!

finally, when are they going to show that they are learning any education? esp dhanush-vidya? and all the diya-mantra that they need. but today, they used one!! the agni one.

oops, and one more thing: they knw Hanuman ji would come and help them as He is Sakatmochan?!

ps: have to say that the actors who playd LK in the old Ramayan looked like true princes than these two! dont know wht u think. but i hope wid time these two boys will improve as well! hmm..and why their hair cut (wid this century's style!) and open when they living in aashram? I don't think it's really the kids, but the terrible wigs the Sagars gave them.😒 Didn't males who led an ascetic life in the Treta Yug have that hairstyle (forgot the name) which Rama and Lakshmana also had during the exile days? The Sagars showed the hairstyles fine with Ram and Lakshman previously in the serial, but suddenly they're giving Luv Kush this weird hairstyle that just ruins the look. I hope they change the wigs. The previous Ramayan was great with the hairstyles of Swapnil and Mayuresh.

Mayuresh, who played Luv, did not go further in television as far as I know. I think Luv Kush was the only serial he acted in, while Swapnil went into television as a career.
I have a question for everyone. Did Dada Sagar's Luv Kush continue the standstill and fame Ramayan created, or was it not as much of a hit?

Thanks for the info on Mayuresh. 😊I was wondering what happened to him - he was by far the cuter of the 2.

On the success of the original Ramayan, one thing worth noting is that it used to be broadcast Sundays at 9:00AM, and then the entire country used to come to a standstill. Of course, that is phenomenal, but w/o taking anything away from it, it's worth noting that this was broadcast to a captive audience (since DD was the only channel, and there wasn't even a DD2, from what I recall) on prime time Sundays. When the Uttarkand sequel was shown, it was shown on Tuesdays at 8:00PM and was a half-hour episode, as opposed to 1 hour for the prequel. (Note that BRC, which kicked in around the same time, had similar if not more phenomenal ratings) The Uttarkand had, from what I recall, nowhere near the ratings of either the prequel, nor the Mahabharat which had just started - maybe a lot of people had no idea when it was running.

Today, this is a show on one particular channel that many people would have to separately order if they are with the basic package on some networks - when I first came to India last year, we didn't have it. So this is sorta like a Windows OS/2 comparison - while Windows is provided by default, people who had OS/2 on their PCs were those who went out of their way to get it. Likewise, the serials 20 years ago were there for everybody who had a TV: today's viewers would have to hunt for it.

Yeah, the hairstyle is more of a Jeff Thomson hairstyle. In the first part, they showed RLBS with their hair neatly combed, but here, they almost have those spikes. Hey, they could have been worse - they could have treated us to a Dennis Rodman hairstyle here🤢

I don't think that K-L learning danush vidya will be shown now, as you already say they've used agni-matra? (I haven't watched yest n today's epi yet)

Yep, in the original Valmiki, it's inconceivable that this question of their parentage would have come up. And how come they are showing punks like Vikralt in Valmiki's ashram?😡 And even for Rama's childhood, they showed one Vivashwal, where at least a context was provided for his rudeness.

Yeah, no need to go through those lessons in dhanurvidya, since they seem to be born with knowledge of agni-astra. And when that fails, no more powerful astras or anything - time to invoke Hanuman. And if Hanuman can defeat this rakshasha which they can't, how would they credibly show them binding Hanuman later (incidentally, I don't believe any of the fight stuff about K-L)

Awfulsome!!!

You have a point there. However, since the Sagars already distorted the script beyong repair, they should cook up something exciting for Chandraketu, Angad, Taksha, Pushkal, Shatrughatee, and Subahu to do😈, so that the kids Luv Kush aren't the only ones leading over dramatic lives.

Since they've introduced hazing in Valmiki's ashram, they might as well do it in Vashishta's as well, and show these kids in their gurukul going through all sorts of things - maybe even a round trip through yamalok. Hey, how could it hurt?

You know, Chandra-bhaya, it makes a lot of sense! Actually I will watch kids story, as long as Sagars will have unlimited supply of: Ram-Lakshman scenes, Ram-Kaushalya scenes; Ram-fish pond scenes, Ram-wind-window scenes, Ram-Hanuman scenes, Ram-... oh well, you know...

How was the experience watching the first mythological serial ever to be made?

wht? 😲 are L-K wearing wigs here?!! really? it doent look like so, esp L's hair look more natural and so does the K's!

But yes, i really dont like the hairstyle of L-K in this Ramayan? K seems to have zulfein here! (but they not silky!! lol...) and L seems to have more of a modern hair cut! and so has all the boys in the aashram. Thought in Tretayug all the boys living in aashram used to tied their hair like vanasis etc! wud be nice to see them in those avatars!

Its hard for me to say which one looked more nicer, Swanpil Johsi or Mayrush as LK! they both were so good! Mayrush lookd cute and Swanpil lookd mature yet cute at the same time!

Yes, even i heard that Swanpil Joshi did some serials. anyone knows in which serials he acted? he did the job as Krishna very nicly!!! again...my fav!!
