He actually does that?

Yes, these stories are quite popular, though I doubt if this is so in Valmiki's Ramayan.

While returning to Ayodhya, Ram spent some time in Maharishi Bharadwaj's Ashram. Ram sent Hanuman ahead of him to inform Guha and Bharat of his return. Ram also told Hanuman to watch Bharat's expressions closely and if he ever shows the slightest sign of regret at the news, Hanuman had to return to him before Ram reaches Ayodhya and inform him. If that was the case, Ram decided to spend the rest of his days in the forest and let Bharat rule in peace.
But Hanuman, when he informed Bharat of Ram's return he saw nothing but pure joy and ecstacy in Bharat's face.
In many versions of Ramayan, Bharat prepares to burn himself and is saved at the nick of time by Hanuman.
Bharat had vowed that he will burn himself if Ram does not return at the end of his fourteen-years exile. He said if Ram was late even by one day's time, he would not find Bharat alive.
When he heard nothing of Ram at the end of the last day of the fourteen years, prepared to burn himself and was stopped just before he entered the pyre by Hanuman who put put the fire and gave him the happy news.

Your wit has made me speechless again, Chandra ji. Actually, I agree with you. It is sort of funny to notice that when people wanted to see more of Ravan and when it is shown they want him finished off soon. But we can't blame them. Showing all these stories at this point - the final stage of the war is a bit dragging. No offence meant.
I expected these stories to be shown in the Uttar Kand - when the sages tell Ram about Ravan, his birth, his deeds and about Indrajeet. I was surprised they showed it now.

Yeah, in Valmiki, the entire history of Ravan, Vali and Hanuman is narrated in the first half of the Uttarkand in the form of Rama hearing the story from rishis who visited Ayodhya on his rajabhishek.

What they've done in this serial is creative in a good way. If the Uttarkand that they will be showing was just Ravan and his stories, people would get impatient for Kush/Luv. Instead, they seem to have scattered the stories throughout the narration - like they showed Vali vs Ravan when Rama had met Sugriv, and Angad brought Tara the news of Hanuman befriending Rama & Lakshman. They showed Ravan's history with Kubera and Kaikesi's craving for Lanka during the Sunderkand period. They showed the killing of Shurpanakha's hubby in that episode where she starts envying Sita and wants to mutilate her. They showed Bal Hanuman when the vanaras reached the ocean - actually, the story itself appears in Uttarkand. Now, they've shown Ravan's battle with Aranya. I think they've covered most ground - only Madhu abducting Kumbhineshi remains to be shown, and that ties up well with Lavanasur.

And thanks for your compliments - I agree with you that there's no pleasing us 😆😆😆 - first we have people who tell them not to bump Ravan off, and when they start showing extra stuff, we complain that it's dragging on. Poor Sagars 😃

it is said that if shani dev enters the house of surya dev in the horoscope then tht really harms tht person ,mostly it is considered that the glance of shani dev is not fruitful, the vakra drishti of shani dev (the vakra glance /the in auspicious glance) of shanidev harms a person ,
all the jyotishi (taro readers & the planet readers ) say tht shani dev not always harms a person ,shani dev mostly harm those who do bad deeds in their lives ot they had done some bad deeds in their purva janam (previous life) ,
for some shani dev is lucky also (tht depends upon the stars of tht person n all & if shani dev is happy wid tht person)
but shanidev cannot harm a true HANUMAN devotee that is why all the priests say tht if one wants to get rid off the shani dev affect in ones life then tht person shud seek the blessings of hanumanji or try to make efforts to make shani dev by giving daan & offering oil to shani dev(the mustard oil) every saturday !!!

thanx for d info di😳

I agree with you Chandra ji. It is creative in a good way. Scattering the stories will minimise our yearning of seeing more of Kush and Luv and the others. And I appreciate the Sagars too. Though some of the scenes may feel somewhat different in my opinion, I appreciate this serial as a great work of art. Let's wait and see what they give us.
P.S. - My interntet connections and power supply are pretty erratic these past two days. I do not know when I can get back. I have to wait for these to stabilise. My connections are playing hide and seek with me.
Mandodari ji, sorry for delaying the posts on how Lord Ram was welcomed back home in the different versions. I'll post them as soon as possible. I said that I'd post it in a day but my internet connections are too precarious and I could not post a full reply. I'll post it as soon as possible.
