Rashmika-Vijay Hyderabad reception: Mrunal, Sreeleela, Kriti, Neena Gupta impress with traditional looks

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda hosted their Hyderabad wedding reception on Wednesday evening at the Taj Krishna Hotel, drawing a mix of film personalities and political leaders. The couple, who married on February 26 in Udaipur in a private ceremony, returned to the city to celebrate with colleagues and extended family.

Among the early guests was Neena Gupta, who arrived with her husband Vivek Mehra. The couple briefly posed for photographers stationed outside the venue before heading inside. Kriti Sanon also marked her presence at the event. She is set to share screen space with Rashmika in Cocktail 2. Producer Dinesh Vijan and filmmaker Karan Johar were seen greeting guests during the evening.

Kriti opted for a black and gold fusion lehenga. Her outfit featured a high neck, full sleeve lace blouse paired with a high waisted skirt detailed with gold stripes. A slim dupatta was styled with a belt at the waist, giving the look a contemporary finish. She completed the ensemble with statement earrings and a structured clutch.

Mrunal Thakur stuns in this vibrant black saree ensemble featuring heavy Kashmiri-inspired floral embroidery. The high-collar, cap-sleeved blouse is a masterpiece of multi-colored threadwork, mirrored perfectly on the saree's border. With center-parted hair and traditional jhumkas, the look blends heritage craftsmanship with a sharp, modern silhouette.

Sreeleela glows in a majestic emerald green Anarkali, featuring a floor-length pleated silhouette with long sleeves and a V-neckline. The ensemble is elevated by a heavily embellished gold dupatta draped over her shoulder. Paired with a side braid and traditional jewelry, she perfectly embodies a classic, regal ethnic aesthetic.

Rhea Chakraborty attended the reception in a saree. Several other names from the industry, including Mrunal Thakur and Sreeleela, were spotted at the venue. Videos circulating on social media showed guests arriving amid tight security arrangements.

Apart from members of the film fraternity, political leaders were also invited. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy along with his wife Geetha Reddy were reportedly on the guest list.

Earlier in the week, Rashmika and Vijay had shared official photographs from their wedding ceremonies. The couple followed a traditional Telugu ritual in the morning to honour Vijay’s family customs. Later in the day, they conducted a Kodava ceremony reflecting Rashmika’s Coorg roots.

The Hyderabad reception marked their first large scale celebration after the intimate Udaipur wedding. While the event was high profile, the couple kept their public interaction brief, focusing on welcoming guests and family members.

With visuals from the evening continuing to surface online, the reception has added another chapter to what has been one of the most closely followed celebrity weddings this year.
