Which S Indian version has it? I know Kamban doesn't, because in the intro to Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, Ramanand-ji himself notes that Kamban openly stated that those events are so distressing that he refused to believe that they actually happened. So it couldn't have been that. Was it the Telegu/Kannada/Malayalam versions?

Kambaramayan does not have that story as you rightly said, Kamban did not write about Lord Ram's life after his coronation. But the Uttar Kand was written by another poet (Ottakoothar) but among the South Indian versions I have read, I did not find the story of Sita Devi herself asking Lord Ram to exile her.
I haven't been able to find the Uttar Kand in Tamil at all. It seems to be quite an illusive book. 😭😭😭

I've seen just Bajrangbali, not Mahabali Hanuman, and agree with you on Bajrangbali - Hanuman is depicted in too much of a slapstick manner, like the incident with him on the occasion that Sita cooks for him, and he makes her life miserable, as shown below

It would be nice to have Sita have some family episodes in the palace, like with Kaushalya, Urmila and of course Rama himself, but at the same time, I am hoping they don't show it in such a cavalier manner.

Another thing I hope they don't show (which they did in the previous Ramayan) - that is Sita being the one who urges Rama to exile her. In Valmiki, Sita had no clue that she'd be abandoned until it came time to abandon her, and Lakshman had an excruciating task of breaking the news to her. I hope that mischaracterization of her exile is not repeated here.

This same scene was shown in 'Jai Hanuman' as well but in a different way. This scene in 'Jai Hanuman' depicted Hanuman visiting Sita in Maharishi Valmiki's Ashram and saying that he was hungry. Sita Devi cooks food for him but he eats up everything and she goes to Sage Valmiki and says that everything in the ashram is over and she doesn't know what to do. He advises her to ask Ram about it. Though she hesitates in the beginning she closes her eyes and asks Ram what to do. Ram hears her and advises her to put Tulsi leaves in the food (probably offer it to the Lord and give it to him as the prasad of the Lord) and his hunger will be satisfied. The scene was really beautiful - Ram looking out of the window (from near it) from his chamber (his face slightly up as if looking at the sky outside) and Sita Devi in the ashram garden with Sage Valmiki. She then plucks some Tulsi leaves from the nearby plant and puts them on the last plate of food that was available (I think it was Kesari - yellow in colour - I maybe wrong, it was quite a long time ago). She gives it to Hanuman who after eating one mouthful felt his hunger satisfied. He wonders how Sita Devi came to know that his hunger will be satisfied with Tulsi leaves - something which only Lord Ram knows. Then he realises that though they are separate and live apart they are one soul and salutes both of them.

I was not even aware that such a custom existed, let alone that Janak tried to evoke it for Sita. What's the source of it? I think that will make the thing even more painful than it will already be, so I'm sorry to disagree with you here - I don't think it should be shown, unless it's from one of the major versions.

That custom does exist. The daughter in law who is expecting a child to be taken to her parents' house and will be taken care of till she delivers the child. This custom, I think, came up in the recent years.
I wouldn't prefer to see it here. As it is, Sita Devi has too little time with Lord Ram and going to her parent's home will make it even more shorter. Besides, she was left in the forest very soon after it was known that she was expecting.

I know that the custom exists now, in some parts of India. Question is - did it exist in treta yuga Aryavarta?

Sagars have shown the Ram Rajaabhihek very grand. Thanks for that.
But on the other hand, we are disapointed to see that they have rushed with the story that most of the scenes werent even shown properly like no bonding with the whole family. we were all so looking forward to see the bonding back in Aydohya again! it would be so good to have just Aydohaya scences for couple of days!

I don't know, but if the custom existed, why didn't Kaushalya, Sumitra, and Kaikeyi go to their parents' homes when they were pregnant?

That's such a sweet story.😊 I like it how you told it. The Bajranbali version twisted the character of Hanuman.😡🤔 I hope they show this story during Sitaji's exile in Ramayan. It would be sweet to watch.😊
