List of new characters :


I am introducing a host of new characters to support the storyline in a historical timeline. Now whom to cast in which role, I leave it to my readers own active imagination.
Also I have changed the male protagonist's full name.

And his relation with Amad. And Amad's full name too.

Along with Latif's role.

Kainath is no more his sister.

yeh ! I have basically turned the QH world upside down ! And there are lots of changes yet to be revealed. wait for the story to reveal it.
This list will be updated with the story's gradual progress and our encounter with new people.


The new characters and changes so far are :-

1. Azad full name -- Raheem Azad Mirza.
He is a Jaigirdar ( chieftain ) of Janjgarh Pargana.

2. Latif and Mir. Baksh -- 2 of Azad's very few well wishers and . Kind, friendly and humorous.

3. Pir Nawaz -- saintly Maulavi of the local Mosque. A learned man who teaches Islamic theology in his Muktab ( institute ). Mir. Baksh is his student.

4. Nafar and Jamilah -- Local innkeeper and his wife. They are kind and helpful. Mahira gets food and shelter on her 1st night at Janjgarh gaon.

5. Saira Banu Begum -- Mahira's Step sister. She is actually her stepmother's daughter from her 1st marriage. Now a rich miller's wife. Lives somewhere down in the pargana. Not important.

6.Abdoor Hasan Ali --Mahira's father. A sufi scholar. Mahira was her father's pride.He taught her mathematics, stargazing, astrology, theology, alchemy, usage of herbs. His books, notes,herb dusts and writing equipment are the only things Mahira carries in a trunk.

7. Jabheda Khala -- Mahira's abbu's muh boli behen. Greedy, vicious and cunning. After his death took charge of his household and tortured Mahira beyond endurance into submission and getting engaged to marry her worthless son. That way she can usurp his property legally.
She is particularly cruel to Mahira as she reminded her of her mother. Jabheda wanted to marry Mahira's Abbu, who chose a better woman of more refined manners.

8. Zaroon -- Jabheda khala's son, Mahira's fiance. equally cruel and gets sadistic pleasure inflicting physical violence upon Mahira. Jealous of Mahira's talent and knowledge, wants to lord over her.

9. Kaynat -- is Mahira's elder sister here. More will be revealed about her soon.

10. Adaq Khan-- Azad's most loyal attendant. A father figure in his life.

11. Amaad -- Full name here is Rafiq Amaad Mirza . He is Azad's cousin brother hence doesnot share the curse. He has a huge hunting dog, Shiraz !

13. Badi Begum -- Azad's mother. Dislikes Mahira from 1st glance. why ? U have to continue reading to know that.

14. Gazala -- Badi Begum's khas jenana. Her right hand.

15. Azad's forefathers : Azad -> son of Naseer.
Naseer -> son of Rasheed
Rasheed -> son of Gaffur .

P.S -- Special applause to PurpleCrayon Baisa, fairy Godmother of my baby ( the FF, its my dream project) who has willingly taken the trouble of editing, correcting and polishing the rough edges and transform my ugly duckling drafts into breath taking perfect chapters. She has wonderful command over language and a keen sense of precision and taste for dramatic flair. Afsos, she is not writing a FF herself. She has reconstructed many of my lines, gone line by line through my sleep deprived brain's gibberish product to remove spots and blemishes. She has perfected the paragraphs, given me suggestion which font to use and which technique to use while opening a historical fiction. . This story has become hers priority equally.She is making my dream come true.

Kruti, I really dont know how to express my gratitude and appreciation. Words wont suffice, so I hope my upcoming chapters would live upto your expectation and make your editing job less dull and more intrigued with flow of actions. Thank you, once again !

I know itz but too early to pull a fulfledged ff on AZMA but this melodious bg tune, Mahira's zoya like smartness Azad's growing power over me 😆 are kinda having my brain bursting with endless scenes and moments between then and the possibility of having an intense romance in a paramormal ground...
so I am planning to u know, unload it from my brain to IF land, but only if u guys are interested.
I will make some modification though.
like because I cannot handle a paranormal story in 21st century i am shifting the timezone to the
medieval period.although I am not sure about it, tell me guys ur opinions.
this witchcraft-sorcery-vampire-cursed hero everything is so mystical ...like a page from arabian nights...so I was thinking to place the on that period.
the place would be janjgarh, instead of bhopal...janjgarh is a small town adjacent to the dense forests of Chattisgar and Madhyapradesh. An old ruined remains of a killa ( fort) of a certain Jaigirdar is still there...so I was planning to make it as the place of the story.


so here goes the storyline :


Janjgir is a place shouded in mystery and myths .Standing on the edge of the vast forest of Bundelkhand (Madhyapradesh), it seems walled away from out world civilization...So while bloody battles are fought on the grounds of Panipath...the sleepy medieval Pargana town still lives their lives in poverty but peacefully wagging tales about their aloof almost inactive,and rarely seen chieftain . Tales say that his family is under a mysterious curse for 500 years which forces the members of the royal household generation under generation to hide under the roof of their crumbling fortress. Placed on a steep cliff , the fort is almost unreachable even to a brave, burly village youth.Whistling bamboo trees surrounds the path to the Fort and tales of disappearance,strange wailing sounds at midnight, voices seducing travellers off road and reaching them to a sorry end , are bedtime stories every mother says to her precocious young one to keep him away from any mischief ! The whistling wood speaks of danger and doom to those who dares to cross it.

For Mahira, it is a place like her prayers are answered. Born with a power of vision and psychic ability, she is running away from being stoned to death for witchcraft at her own village. Her father was a respected man, a sufi scholar who taught her to read write count, a rare talent for a girl in those days. Only thing she carries with her is a large trunk, too heavy for her to carry. It has her father's spiritual books, notes on psychic reading, signs and art of foretelling, astronomical calculations and their effect on reading future. In Janjgir, she finds a place where no one would look for her or try to kill her. She can safely pose as a scullery maid in the local village inn and plan her future. What she never forsees is her path crossing with Raheem Azad Mirza, the enigmatic chieftain and her life changing forever !

P.S On a lighter note.."voices seducing travelers...". It took me some time to get pass this sentence😆😆 I like to visualize what I read..and the scenario that was forming in my head was "Me skipping along in a red frock (like Red riding hood) and I hear someone softly uttering my name.I immediately recognize the voice and ask out aloud -Mr.Independent, is that really you?"🤪😆😆

P.P.S The most important question...the last we chatted u mentioned it was past 2 am...Madamji did u finally fall asleep? 😆😆

Thank u so much Amy !! infact the whole story is a famous fairy tale inspired...after all a cursed handsome prince, a witch queen, an innocent damsel...this is an ultimate fairytale material Gul mam handling...so I am also thinking to exploit it 😆
yaa went to sleep at 4am. lord now I am having a killer headache.
