:Chapter - 20:
I know they say that first love is the sweetest, but that first cut is the deepest too. There are times in life when everything seems so somber. The pain that someone experiences after reaching at a certain zenith of happiness. Maybe for some regret is all that they get , for some pain and finally only just some get their true love.
He saw Zoya running out of the room and stood there with his hand on his cheek where the woman he loved had slapped him and really hard. Was this the end of his story was there no chance of him getting the woman he loved? .
Zoya was in a state of shock and by the time she reached the living area she was already stumbling not that she was drunk but the earlier events made her dizzy. She reached the table walking unsteady and before she knew a showpiece was down on the ground.
''Zoya !!??...what the.'' Ayaan, humaira, Imraan and Nikhar were nearby somewhere. And it didn't take them any longer to reach there and see Zoya in a disheveled state.
''Zoya !!...are you...okay? ..is there something wrong? '' Humaira asked in hesitation sensing something unusual.
Zoya didn't speak anything and just kept on crying bitterly. Ayaan saying bye to his last ounce of coolness held Zoya's shoulders tight and shook her while asking her the matter. Everyone was now present there. Zoya after sometime looked at the direction of her room and it was all Ayaan needed to understand what the hell this all was.
He ran inside Zoya's room and others followed him leaving zoya behind in their curiosity. As the entered the room they saw Asad collapsed on the floor looking even more miserable.
''WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO HER?!!''... Ayaan asked while picking him up by his collar.
''A...Ayaan. .relax !...we can figure everything out please just relax. .'' Najma tried to calm him.
''WE'LL FIGURE WHAT! !...GOD DAMN IT!''.Ayaan was literally furious.
''Ayaan please leave him...'' humaira pleaded. ''No not before he tells me what did he do to Zoya. ..Speak up! !'' Ayaan shouted.
''Asad what happened here ?'' Nikhat asked after a long silence.
He looked her in the eye and she knew he did something that re opened all the wounds of past in Zoya's mind. After a minute he reveiled everything and Ayaan being furious punched him so hard he might also have given Asad a black eye. Before he could hit him further Imraan Najma and Humaira stopped him.
''Ayaan leave him! !...we need to pull Zoya together please. ..'' Said humaira glaring at Asad while he had his head held low.
Eveyone except Imraan and Najmaleft the room hastily only to find Zoya gone . And suddenly humaira's eyes went white in horror seeing the floor.
''What is it humaira? '' Asked Nikhat while everyone looked in her direction of attention.
''She is back from where she started. ..I can feel her pain...''
Said Humaira seeing the blood on the floor that surely was from Zoya's feet.
''He has done it again. I knew it wasn't a good idea to invite him. ..'' said Nikhat.
Meanwhile in Zoya's room Asad was again on the ground crying bitterly. Najma stood there watching him with unshed tears along with Imraan.
''Why Asad why did you do this? ...do you freaking have any idea what you've done to Zoya. She loves you and always have and you, your behavior it just isn't acceptable. If you really love her why did you leave then? !'' Shouted Imraan.
''Imraan. ..he loves Zoya I know he has confessed on the wrong time with a wrong method but he loves her. Isn't it what we all wanted from the beginning for Zoya? '' Najma argued.
''I know I even wanted Asad to realize how much she loved him but not like this. ...'' He spoke referring to Asad.
''Hmmm...Imraan we need to go look for Zoya she can do anything when she's upset. And we all know in how many ways she'd tried to die in the past !'' Nikhat said eyeing Asad who was staring at her shocked.
They came out to see the horrible scene in front of them that pained everyone. The blood on the floor was long ago dried up. It had been an hour and everyone was too preoccupied to think what to do next. Saving everyone the debate Imraan-Najma and Farhan went to search Zoya.
While somewhere Zoya was walking like a live corpse. The past flashing before he eyes like a movie and giving her a reason to be unhappy again after so many years. Zoya's thoughts were racing like a tornado .
''Which book are you reading ?'' (Asad)
''LFA ...go find humaira and talk to her.'' (Zoya)
''Tumhe dekh k dil mein kuch kuch hota hai. . Tum nhi samjhogi.'' (Asad)
''Shut up stupid !'' (Zoya)
''Show me the slam book...a date near a lake ahaan...'' (Asad)
''Give it back !'' (Zoya)
''You're my very good friend and I can't loose you !...'' (Asad)
''Please concentrate on your studies Zoya exams are near and you'll always be my friend. ..'' (Asad)
''These things matter but I want someone with an amazing character'' (Asad)
''Okay I like someone else ...TB ...Tanveer Baig''. (Asad)
''AAAHHH !!!...STOP! ..STOP! !...PLEASE STOP...AAAHAAN HAAN !''
Zoya yelled through her lungs and stood there in the middle of the road crying uncontrollably. The horrible past was crashing her heart. The new memories acting like salt on her wounds. The way he rejected her, the way he caused her so much pain for just a day of liking or not even that. Before she knew she was hearing a car coming towards her . She was too tired of her life to walk and be on the other side.
'Swoosh !' the sound came and the car was disbalanced but it somehow gathered the balance back and stopped at a distance from Zoya who refused to look anything else apart from her partially blood covered feet.
The people from the car came out immediately and a manly hand grasped her shoulders and turned her on the other side.
''Are you out of your freaking mind Zoya?...'' shouted Imraan.
Caring for the sake of him Zoya looked into his eyes and immediately lost all the control. It wasn't an exaggeration as someone else would have done it was a cry of sheer sorrow.
''Why Imraan? WHY!?...why me always. . .'' She cried and dropped her head on his shoulders while Najma kept rubbing her back.
''Zoya why did you leave? ...'' Najma asked after a lot of silence.
''Shhh !...don't ask any question let her get herself together. '' Farhaan tried to console Najma.
Was the pain ever going to end or both the lovers will separate.
