I've never found ARI a weak hero even for a moment, in fact I think he's as strong as Sanam , if not more, because you see , even in her worst day, Sanam still has loving shoulder to cry to , surrounded by people who love her unconditionally n TRULY ( key word ) , as you said , the situation is completely different for ARI.Any other lesser strong person would've ended up in to a drug addict , or worst a criminal in the making , just like Tannu.He, on the other hand, this golden heart , for him the smile of a poor boy is so important that lakhs of money can be spent on it.I find Telly heros boring, very boring, in most Indian shows , even top trp ones, male leads are just pieces of furniture , n they're predictable to the point of pain.But, Aahil, man , h's a gorgeous creation, such a multi layered beautifully written character , with such a majestic aura n charm about him. He's a Lady kiler, a responsible family man, a kind charitable person, a cool badass gamer , a lone wolf , a loving brother, a honest , loyal n caring friend..Soon , he'll be an epic lover , along with his soul mate Sanam.
