You could say that again, and it still wouldn't seep in. I am going to come and clearly say it (and no, I'm not sorry). The issues that the current track is being compared to are dire and are best left to the people that can discuss them without being insensitive. If not for anything else, then these posts need to stop for the sake of the grave social and historical background associated with such words. It's insensitive, insensitive being an understatement, to use these words/concepts so casually.

LOL, hey you do what you gotta do girl. For me it's more because after it's started, it's not ending especially with my mouth lol.

Seriously you just said it all. That is my biggest problem with it all as well. It's offensive and disparaging.

Did he not trade her for his sisters life and she was not given a say at all. She was dragged against her wish . It was a trade .

Trafficking is when you do it secretly and make money for it. there is just not one meaning for trade and hope you can look it up. Trade for money or batter trade. Fictional shows make an effect on people.

If these fictional shows portray the wrong message to the viewing public than yes one has to take a stand.

I don't know if people realize this, but almost all the posts lately seem to be jackhammering the same old nail. And honestly speaking, it goes beyond beating the dead horse. If you are really that frustrated, do a google image search of "baby animals". It will keep you entertained for hours. But ranting about the same inconsequential things ain't gonna get any of us anywhere.

The "melodramatic" part of the title is so apt for this forum Candy! There is an elitist attitude that is just getting to me. I understand that we have two groups of people: the people who believe in constructive criticism, mockery, satire, and jokes at the expense of other people's art and then we have people who nurture the creative endeavors of others and take Thumper to heart with that whole If you can't say something nice, then don't say something at all. And that's fine. But then we have the swayers too. They sway depending on the situation and these are the ones I have a problem with.

For the record, the ambiance of the forum has reached this melodramatic stage because people won't quit, nor are they willing to be constructive in their criticism/ take a drama at its face value. It's really not about being in the middle, holding hands, and singing Kumbaya. It's about deciding whether you want to really stick around and watch a drama keeping in mind that it is fiction with fictional characters, or simply leave.

ur preaching for the people in this form about the situation, wat to do and wat not to do ... but the thing ur not realizing is, with this continuous preaching ur becoming more dramatic than any others in this forum ... people are people ... u dont expect them to be stones without emotions ... they like jackhammering the same old nail as it is the only way to express their emotions ... coz this is not a movie to forget after one day ... this is a dailysoup in which emotions are carried on a daily basis ... if serials are hammering the same emotions ... the posts also comes in parallel to them ... afterall this is daily soup and every one is a human being including u ... so dont expect too much

Thanks for this post man. All this slavery, trading, trafficking, forcing crap is just hilarious. Like really bro? I don't even know how they come up with such ideas but it's seriously funny. I wish people would do proper research before using such harsh terms. & Then the way people portray Zoya here as if she's some abla nari who's been wronged by everyone. Give me a break people! Half the mess is created by her in first place!

I looked up trafficking and it says doing human trade for various purposes and certainly there was nothing related to Asad's purpose was mentioned there!

& What if these fictional shows are trying to bring out the reality of our society? There's another way to look at it too. Maybe she's not trying to preach but instead show the sad realities of our society, how about that? & Why not see what message she gives in the end? What if she's actually trying to show the reality of our society and will give out the message at the end of the track?

You stole my words. As far as logic goes, many aspects of Asya track has been illogical and the romance goes OTT to an extent that I can't drool. You know less is more? But having said that, we know what we are in for when we are watching an Indian show. It will have full-on drama and we should not try to find explanations to everything for our own peace.
I too am irritated by the overdose of sarcastic posts in this forum because at a certain time it will stop getting funny.
According to me there are two main reasons for this track:
1. Zoya enters SM and her past which is linked to all really will unravel.
2. Ayaan and Asad's relationship will be strained which I feel will be due to Ayaan falling for Zoya.
There will be lot more repercussions of this and I do not really mind watching it. In the end it will always be Asya.

Fair enough that she may give a message at the end of the track but the damage would already been done by then. There are many many illiterate people in India who would take a serial and it's initial message as the gospel truth. Yes agreed that Zoya the character did not open her mouth and that was the doing of the PH and or her CVS. If they had made her open her mouth and stand her stand, it would not have been so bad cause it would not have shown women to be such whimsical creatures of this place called earth. I may have been misconstrued in my message but i am and will always be against any kind of injustice to women, children, elderly and even animals for that matter. If it is shown in fictional or non fictional my thoughts remain the same.

Yes i do make comments or other post and they may sound childish, cynical or totally misleading but that is just to keep the flow of humor and thread. Purely entertainment. Likewise i too think that even on this post the discussion was merely on the serial and then everyone starts getting uptight . Everyone has their know POV and if you guys do not like mine , i can't force you. I shall remember to never comment on your post again. Apologies extended.

Lastly i do not even think i should be arguing here since many of the members are students or just very young adults who seem to think that if the have vast knowledge of the English Vocabulary, they know what reality is all about. When you live abroad and and don't know the mentality of a general Indian citizen, it would not be fair to make any kind of judgments.

P.S Since it was not trade please advice me to what that exchange was???? Maybe i am too daft at the age of almost 50...

Definition of 'Trade'

A basic economic concept that involves multiple parties participating in the voluntary negotiation and then the exchange of one's goods and services for desired goods and services that someone else possesses. The advent of money as a medium of exchange has allowed trade to be conducted in a manner that is much simpler and effective compared to earlier forms of trade, such as bartering.

A very sensible post and kudos to you for writing this. ..

Constructive criticism is fine but just bashing left and right the Cvs and the characters as well, just because you don't like a track borders on nothing but immaturity.

these days i am seeing especially Asad being bashed to the hilt.. But why is he being bashed? because he choose his sister Nikhat over Zoya... But i have seen him being bashed similarly when it came to Najma and Imran and Asad supported Najma over Nikhat and agreed to their Nikah.. that time he was called wrong and bashed because people did not like Najma and Imran together and Nikhat got sympathy...Everyone saw her anguish that time but the same Nikhath is also today being bashed when she cut her wrist.. why? just because that is the reason for Asad and Zoya's separation.

And even today i am sure that if Zoya is not involved here and if Asad declined in helping out Nikhat for some reason when she cut her wrist, he would have been bashed again saying how insensitive he is.

I also agree that since this track started there is a lot of things happening which does not make sense and a lot are done just for the sake of drama.. and we don't like Asad and Zoya separating and we don't want to think of a ZoYaan.. but that does not mean we should bash left and right each little thing that happens or each little thing that a character does, without thinking ourselves logically and reasoning out why that character did it.

All I have to say is that they should have at least shown Zoya open her mouth and protest against being forced to go live in Ayaan's house as his wife! Everyone involved KNOWS it is a misunderstanding and that this marriage is NOT real! Including Fat cow Haseena! She is just using these stupid and gullible people!!

Nikhat was shown to have grown a spine. Then again stupid Shirin mouths off all that "second wife" crap and she decides to sign her life away to fat cow's household?? She says she is not getting "any younger or fairer"?? I thought this girl is like 21 or 22 max? How ridiculous to portray her as someone desperate to get married and worried about ageing??

What I protest is the way that they have portrayed females on this show! Spineless, gullible, lacking self worth or plain evil and immoral (like Haseena, Razia and Tanveer). Zoya too has now been reduced to a gullible deaf mute. (Totally fell for Tanveer's crap and now taking Asad's decision lying down)!

I am not so concerned with ZOYAAN as I am about the inconstancies in this storyline and also the fact that it is plain demeaning to females how they have generally been portrayed on this show! The only woman with a spine and sensible is Dilshaad. But even SHE has not been able to move on from her cheating and irresponsible ex husband!

I used to really like this show, but have started to hate the way the women In this show have been shown as either evil, gullible, spineless or just plain SELFISH (like Shirin)!! Hard to believe a WOMEN produces this show which is SO unflattering to females!!

It is not even flattering to males as ALL the males on this show are either cheaters, selfish, hypocritical or untrustworthy! So is ANYONE going to come out looking like a decent human being here??
