Bigg Boss 19 has already become a hot topic of discussion with drama, fights, and unexpected revelations making headlines daily. Recently, actor Gaurav Khanna found himself at the center of trolling after admitting on the show that he doesn't know how to cook Indian food. His confession sparked a wave of memes and criticism online, with many questioning how someone who once won Celebrity MasterChef could struggle in the Bigg Boss kitchen.
However, Gaurav's close friend and fellow reality star Rajiv Adatia has now stepped in to clear the air. Defending Gaurav, Rajiv reminded viewers that cooking in Celebrity MasterChef and preparing daily meals for 20–25 housemates in Bigg Boss are two entirely different experiences.
"Winning Celebrity MasterChef doesn't mean you instantly become a Bigg Boss chef," Rajiv explained. "When Gaurav entered MasterChef, he wasn't a professional cook. We had two weeks of training, and during that time, he worked tirelessly to perfect his dishes. His strength has always been desserts and presentation — he's an artist, so plating came naturally to him. But cooking everyday Indian food for so many people requires a completely different skill set."
Rajiv further highlighted Gaurav's journey in Celebrity MasterChef, pointing out that the actor displayed remarkable growth during the show. "He started out with limited skills, but week after week, he improved. That was the real beauty of his journey — to see someone go from being a non-cook to confidently creating dishes that impressed the judges. But Bigg Boss is not about gourmet cooking. It's about survival and keeping up with the demands of a full household."
Addressing the trolls more directly, Rajiv said that people need to understand the distinction between a competitive cooking show and the daily grind of cooking for a large group. "Just because you've won MasterChef doesn't mean you can suddenly run a restaurant kitchen or cook daal, roti, sabzi for 20 people every day. It's a whole different ballgame."
Concluding his statement, Rajiv also stressed that Gaurav has no reason to feel embarrassed. "It's actually good he isn't cooking inside the house. If the challenge was desserts, he would shine. He has that flair for detail and creativity. People should give him credit for his strengths rather than trolling him for something that was never his forte."
With Rajiv's strong defense, fans are now seeing Gaurav's situation in a different light. As the Bigg Boss journey continues, it remains to be seen whether Gaurav will step into the kitchen or stick to his comfort zone — but one thing is clear, his supporters are standing firmly by his side.
