- That the ultimate goal of a woman is to marry. No matter how the man treats her, no matter how his past has been, no matter how talented you are, your ultimate goal is to marry and marry before you pass college.
- That if you are dark skinned, though good natured, and one of your engagement breaks you will only end up being someone's second wife. Your parents, no matter how educated, will do nothing to help you with your self esteem.
- That even if you have a talent of dance, your talent will go unnoticed, wasted.
- That if you are a modern woman, it only means you will wear jeans, take lift from strangers and land yourself in brash situations. It does not mean that you will stand up for yourself when a wrong decision is being taken on your behalf, or question anyone. It does not also mean that you would believe in questioning the traditionalist view of some Qazi who has no clue about what a marriage is.
- That in Islam, all it takes is a haan haan (ill fated as it may be) to force marriage on two people who are not willing to accept it. What a contrast from the first episode when someone sane said that Islam gives the haque of choice to a woman.
- That you talk about what you would do if you earn, but despite being educated, all you do is sit around and bake cakes, solve world problems and watch MS Dhoni for a year.
- That a man who left you three years ago, despite being your sister's fiancee a day ago, can come back to your life with one phone call.
- That if your husband left you everyone has a right to slam an insult on you for life.
- That a woman who is totally greedy can sell her sons for wealth, and once sane, strong individuals would bow to her tantrums.
- That a girl in love will not stand up for her family, even if her would be mother in law is insulting them and enjoying drama at their expense.
- That a girl whose rishta has been broken (thankfully by a woman who has no right to bring a rishta anyway) should commit suicide, and that instead of supporting her dreams or building her self esteem her brother should go begging to mend things.
- That a girl should accept whichever rishta comes her way right after she has been rejected by a man, because who knows who else will hold her hand.
- That a woman is an object that two brothers can freely gift each other.
- And that despite being a modern woman, you will not question this.
Sorry, if I hurt anyone's feelings with my sarcasm. I don't really care if your show is regressive. I understand this is what sells. Sad. But, atleast don't claim to break misconceptions, if you have no intentions to doing that. The only misconception that has been broken in a way that is beaten to death now is that what you wear is not what your character is, but other than this, all the other things shown are surely, purely regressive. I really hoped when I saw QH promos last year, that QH will be crowning glory - something unique, but sadly NO!đđ˛
