yes ur right to an extent, but i dont get whats the hurry in getting nama married. they all can wait, in that time, even nikhat would move on and they can get to know imran better!!! out of everyone, its zoya who is moving things forward the most, i know her intentions arnt wrong but she should act more maturely thats just what i feel!

Bang on Sangi...I lived in US for 13 years and recently came back...And trust me, my views are so different from folks who have been in India all their lives (about various things). So totally agree with you, Zoya is just ignorant. And fotunately for her, her own MIL is more like a mother so she does not know what it is to live with a Monster-in-law from hell. She probably thinks NajRan will just be blissful in their own worlds with Bhaiseena occasionally dropping by. And If Imran can stand up for her now, he will do so in the future too.

Yes..we all worry about their impression, but again, do we really take them into consideration when choosing our partner (I am talking love marriages) or wishing to marry them. Most likely we live in our own households and have to deal with the ILs occasionally (once a week or so on). Most families in US or outside of India do not have a "Debra" having to deal with a "Marie" walking in anytime of the day or God forbid living with them.

In India, due to the culture of joint families, even in love marriages the situation with ILs is weighed. Personal experience, my cousin married her BF despite stong protests from her FIL (in India) who finally agreed. Five years into the marriage, the situation is such that they are working out a amicable solution where her husband can move out of their home and family business so that they can setup their own household. The entire family is going through a very rough time since the FIL is extrmely verbally abusive to both his son and my cousin. Had they been in USA, it would mostly not be such a dire situation since they would be in their own respective homes to begin with.

SO I guess what I am saying is that though the worry of ILs might be universal, they are much more real in India. And since Zoya has not had to worry about her ILs or witnessed joint family situations, she is oblivious to the situation. Which is fine by me.

Which is why I think I enjoy your posts. I haven't seen on forum anything saying Zoe is not deserving of Asad or should leave KM.

We are all flawed in some ways, no one is perfect anyway. However I do feel that writers are setting up Zoe, to probably justify some future tracks...maybe. Alright she does not know Nikhat, and is not intuitive about it, but the whole bhaseena fiasco is not normal. It should be ringing off alarm bells in the whole Khan family.

How does Zoe assume the otherwise for Najma, the part where Najran(now we have a pair name already? ) stay on their own, she definitely realizes the difference between Dilshaad and Haseena.

I agree in reality folks overlook and adjust in all families, love or arranged marriage does not matter, but then it is within limits. I understand Haseena is an extreme character, and that skews this whole track a lot. It's easier to rationalize fiction, I would never wish a Haseena on anybody in reality, even for an enemy.
