It seems very forced ...but I am happy with anything as long as there is no Zoyaan

Did you forget Tanveer? And I am not referring to her garment business! 😆 😉

Kidding apart, I agree! Why waste a degree if a woman is not allowed to work? I understand after kids, some women chose to be stay-at-home Moms and thats fine if that's what they want. I am too independent and can't think of not working!!

In her previous shows, Gul did show the female lead work for the male lead. I didn't watch Geet but watched IPK. So, not sure why she is not showing it in QH. Zoya has a good technology oriented brain. Pity she's not using it. In fact, I haven't see her IPad or phone in a long time, except for the "Watch you while sleeping" scene. 😆

That's right, Tanveer was a working woman (still is)- the oldest profession in the world+garment factory :)

But I want a working woman who is not desperate to get hitched by a man. A woman who is happy with her job and self reliant

Why do I feel that at some point Gul will show ZOya as a working woman...maybe later in the show?

Agreed! I actually want to see Zoya working in IT and juggling a job and a married life!

I follow an FF on IF by PalyGirl that has Zoya working 2 projects: one for Asad and another for her friend from NY. AsYa are not engaged, married or expressed their love. But Asad is overbearing and overprotective! It's a thriller FF with a bit of suspense. A hint of darkness to it too. Not sure if you follow FFs but this is worth a read.

I really hope Gul madam will do that. I have not seen all the shows of 4Lions, except for Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon but I think Zoya is one of the few female characters which can pull off the role of a working woman along with a dutiful wife. Perhaps it has also to do with her upbringing in NY. Yes Tanveer is a working woman but maybe because she had to make money for living. In Zoya's case it would be more out of independence and a career driven factor.

Here's the link:

It has a prequel too, which is a bit dark/violent but very well written.
