I actually get so excited for Ramadan. 😆 they really should show it.

But i am sure if not Ramadan they will show Eid celebrations because they sometimes even show them in Hindu related shows.

The ideas you present are very creative and imaginative. If the PH can even make an effort in this direction it would be amazing. Waking up in the morning is impossible for some; you could have Asad repeatedly wake up Zoya with her falling asleep everywhere, the struggles with temptation be it food or water or both of them trying to avoid getting romantic or attracted with each other to avoid breaking their fast and even more, Asad struggling to curb his temper with Zoya while fasting. If the PH knew an iota of what there is to know about Muslims, they could have a field day without being offensive to Muslims, but since they don't they have will not be able to pull it off and honestly, I keep thinking since it is not a topic they can handle, perhaps they might be better off avoiding it before they offend Muslims once again.

The question would still remain that if they do show Ramazan, will they be able to show it properly? A part of me wants to see them show Ramazan, another doesn't. Ramazan is a beautiful beautiful month, and its full of ibaadat, closeness to Allah, steadfastness, patience and restraint. I wouldn't want to see Ramazan shown but hardly shown if you get what I mean. A ramazan full of prayers, a not so angry Asad, no controversies, might be almost too difficult to show, nonetheless they should try to show it moderately, and beautifully and I think they won't go on to ignore such an important month, I mean is that possible practically?😆

Infact I was thinking that they can show so many scenes, where one of Asad or zoya or anyone is doing something wrongly and the other one guiding the person. A beautiful scene as that of 3-4 minutes? We cannot forget the point that QH is not a show preaching Islam to people indirectly and its just supposed to be a show of entertainment having a Muslim background, but there needs to be taken care of the point too that if Asad and Zoya and so many leads in there are shown "religious" then people think what they do is what Islam is about, alot of us do, so of course we cannot expect them to show women fully covered, men not staring at them, because in our own real lives that doesn't happens too commonly but they can show the characters learning one or two points about Islam from eachother, respecting its values, because I've said too much of the skirt thing and I won't be saying it all again but A liberal Muslim too who might not wear, hijaab, cover herself up properly would want to respect this value and teaching of Islam and not reveal herself too much, or a male, who isn't shown so liberal would at extreme conditions try to control his anger, not like go totally soft if there show requires him to be angry but not also jump over the girl and manhandle so wrongly, and if its shown then equal redemption in Islamic light should be too. Because a show might not be basedon religion but every religion lives inside the characters. Somehow they end up representing it.

Oh my God, thank you so much for this post!🤗
Actually, to be very honest, I was thinking the same for the past few days especially about the whole religion thing and all.
Qubool Hai is definitely one of its kind, the main reason for it being a show with a Muslim background. Lekin, we hardly get to see scenes which has to do with the religious things and all. Exactly like you mentioned. Most of the show are about Hindu religions and we often get to see all the rituals like praying to Bhagwan, mandir and much more.
I do not have anything against any religion and have great respect for any kind of religion.
But yes, why do we not get to see the characters of QH praying frequently or do something else related to the Islam? It is somehow disappointing to see that the PH does not pay too much attention to it. It would enhance the feeling of the show, since they stated QH to be very different and all.

I do hope they keep in mind that the holy month of Ramazan is coming up. Of course we understand that it is not possible to fully implement the Ramazan in the show, but at least acknowledge it and try to find a way to include in the show. Hopefully, they will also celebrate EID in a big way just to show that even if QH is a minority in its religion background, that does not have to mean they cannot celebrate a beautiful religious day like EID. We have seen a lot of special episodes during Diwali, Holi and perhaps other important religious days, so why not EID right?

Yess thank you for the post
I think when they want to make qubool hai gul thought of something special to attract the audience
So she decided to make a show BASED ON ThE MUSLIM COMMUNITY
So people got excited to see something special Coz i think this is the first show focuses on ISLAM
She Said That she chose That to dispel stereotypes regarding islam
But till now nothing happens of what she said
They even didnt portraying islam or muslim family well so how CAN she remove strotypes regarding islam
And i think pH are not That crative and they are not even interessing of islam background
They CAN simply drag some tracks some scenes to give justice to the show
And especially about prayers , when something special happen so then they remember to show some caracters do prayers
Muslim prays every days and 5time
They CAN simply drag prayer in Any scene, ex dilshad want to talk with her son or daughter and find them prays just show salam alikom asalam alaykom
Quran and ahadit are the most important part in Any muslim Life
Even their dialogues doesnt contain anything proves That they are muslims
Infortunetly i didnt find anything special they add to justify isllam
And ramadan i dont know if they Will show it or not
But ramadan is not about 1day or 2 its about a MONTH and its a MONTH of ibadat so i dont know if they are capable to show it correctly ,alot of thing Will bother them
If they Will not justified ramadan so its better not to show it
And about eid ofcourse they Will and they Will make mahaepisode about it its just one day and day full of hapineess and joy
To summarise they started with an idea to show something unique but after Time they forget it and forget what is show based on
But all That doesnt mean That i dont Like qubool hai, i am addicted to qubool hai and excited about everything and i enjoy it
But what is right is right and what is wrong is wrong

@Laila indian muslims are also indian first .
so if a common indian family drama which almost based normal daily family related issue can be potrayed by indian hindus, chirstian, sikh family than why not by an indian muslim familly.

chak de india was dealing with social issues like mistrust for minorities, showing paraya attitude to north east indian, lack of respects for female sports person.
in this movie hero kabir khan never showed doing any muslim religious activity nor he wear any traditional activity.
the films try potray an indian muslim can also simply potrayed as a common indian.
The film was about an indian hero which is happen to be muslim not a muslim hero which happen to be indian.
like that qh ph house may try to make qh
as an indian familly drama which happen to be muslim not a muslim family drama which happen to be indian.

payar ka bandhan, pavitra rishta i saw scene on ramadan.

on eid day sony, zee ,star plus wish eid to audiance during programme break.

ramadan still one month away so wait for one month than give final judgement

The amount of things Gul Khan has actually mucked up in this whole show..the way she portrays her characters.. and the way she's actually portrayed Muslims.. For the sake of Islam.. I hope she doesn't show Ramadhan.. else she'll do a big goof up there as well.. make a mockery of everything.. and people will continue saying 'it's only entertainment'

Brilliant post :) I second your thoughts completely. QH was promoted as a muslim social. One of the two USPs as mentioned by KSG in the Press launch was it being a Muslim show. The mention of muslim culture was very much evident since the beginning. But sadly the PH has forgotten that they were supposed to make a family drama about two families who are connected by blood and yet lead a life separate from each other. It was never a love story atleast that's what I could decipher from the initial promos and was more or less a different tale from what is being shown to us now.

But Frankly, I understand that TV people change tracks instantly as per people's demand and liking but what I fail to understand is how they never acknowledge the religious beliefs that these families supposedly had/should have. As u said they have never acknowledged God's presence as such except a few times that too were in the beginning.
Also,I really liked the Rashid and Asad scenario that you presented that would be one good thing to see; something that would tantamount to required growth in the original plot. Ramzan is an important event that Muslims all around the world follow and if they don't follow that then it would one big flaw in their tale,Not that there are any less flaws but this one would be a major flaw by the PH.
All said and done. I feel one should shut their brains for those 30 minutes while watching the show coz logic ki vaat hai sab jagah :P

So according to you QH should not show an religious behavior or celebration? Your post arguing that it was not done in chak de, is saying that since the film is about Indian people who just happen to be Muslim, it does not warrant it? Right.

pkab had it because there was a character who was Muslim. PR? Did we have any of the lead characters attending a Ramzaan dinner or visiting a family wishing the Eid Mubarak?
