With our Indian Christian weddings, we've incorporated a lot of "American" traditions that have made it so much more memorable (i.e. father-daughter dance, etc) so if Muslims are incorporating this to their events, then more power to them and if not, then more power to authentic tradition. Either way, Im loving it in QH! Makes the show that much better 😊

I think with all the psychos roaming around the forum some members have lost their sense of humor😆 I thought they would understand the intention too 😛

oh really? The Walima actually has a catwalk. But these guys have had so many ceremonies already...the engagement, gift ceremony, flower ceremony...there's gonna be a walima too? Crap, Im so glad Im not Muslim...only because I'd be broke if I ever got married! 😆

There is no cat walk at all in any ritual of muslim wedding first of all.Second muslim weding as per Islam has only two functions i.e. Nikkah and Valima, that's it.
I'm a muslim and I never heard of Jashn-e-bahar,Jashan-e-Soghaat and bla bla.The CVs kind of cleared that these were the traditions followed in Dilshad's village and those were regional traditions and had nothing to do with Islam.
Hope it helped.

There are weddings when the whole area is drenched in darkness and the couple enters under a spotlight and they have smoke rising up from the sides... all this = waste of a huge amount of money

haha...yes, the videos!! I saw pieces of one the other day where the guy and girl were literally rolling on the ground in a park.

I hope no one does any catwalk in any wedding! Embarrassing as it is, being the cynosure of 1000 people, a catwalk will just kill it! Imagine a nine yards saree slipping away! 😆

Although there was one hilarious wedding video of a bride dancing to the altar. Brave she was...

There is no cat-walk in the wedding of Muslims. I'm a Muslim and have been to many weddings but I have never seen the bride and groom do a cat-walk. As for the other traditions... I had never heard of them until qubool hai. I mean there is like a couple where the bride and groom's families get together but that's it. Then there is the mehndi, nikkah, and walima. These other traditions are maybe things celebrated in specific places. As for the cost of things... Yea it can be spendy. Hope that clears up everything.

just wondering, I know have limited knowledge of Muslim traditions but when does a bride and groom actually do a catwalk during a Muslim wedding?? Lol.

Just a fun post...no intense discussion here 😆

well factually speaking, I have never heard of rasams like Jashn e Saughat, Jashan e bahar even in India. And as far as cat walk is concerned, it's only that bride and groom walk to the stage (nothing like cat walk). I think all these things are just to drag the serial werna to 10 din guzarnay me mahinay kese lagenge! 😆
