it's not part of the rituals but the increasing trend in filmy style weddings people have started to add different things to make the event supposedly more memorable. in my opinion it's merely for the video which turns out nothing short of a bollywood saga. i'm pretty sure that the same pre and post tamasha is present in some hindu weddings as well. There are weddings when the whole area is drenched in darkness and the couple enters under a spotlight and they have smoke rising up from the sides... all this = waste of a huge amount of money

this was intended to be just a fun, kinda sarcastic, post on what I thought was obviously not part of a Muslim wedding...but interesting to learn some things. With our Indian Christian weddings, we've incorporated a lot of "American" traditions that have made it so much more memorable (i.e. father-daughter dance, etc) so if Muslims are incorporating this to their events, then more power to them and if not, then more power to authentic tradition. Either way, Im loving it in QH! Makes the show that much better 😊

yes you are right
and weddings in all places are not going to be exactly the same
because people now a days can add other things to make their wedding nicer and a beautiful memory and nothing is wrong with that.
glad that you are enjoying the show 😊

A Muslim wedding consists of Nikah, Rukhsati (both can be done on same day) and Walima.

The rest are just rituals, customs, traditions whatever you wanna call them.
So yes definitely no catwalk! 😆
