Sorry for the delay friends. I wrote this part so many times but I was not satisfied. I thought I could not do justice to Asad's character. He is the kind of person who gives a 100% to the people who are close to him. So I think I've tried my best to bring out the Honest and Truthful Asad. Tell me your comments.

Part-4

The car was filled with silence. Zoya sat staring out the window, deep in thought. Asad looked at her and turned back to concentrate on the road. Zoya was thinking about what happened in the guest house.

"Look Mr. Khan, if you want me to stay away from her then save your breath. I won't. There is something strange about her and I won't rest until I find out what. I will not let her hurt you Mr. Khan. Any..."

"I know Zoya."

Zoya looked up at Asad, shocked, when she heard what he said.

"What did you say?"

"I said I know something strange is going on with Tannu and I trust you."

"But..."

"Look Zoya, Tannu is my best friend. I have known her for the past so many years. I know the kind of person she is. But still I trust you when you say that there is something wrong."

"Why suddenly Mr. Khan? You have never trusted me before. But later when you come to know the truth you repent. You seek forgiveness and I readily forgive you. Got bored of the routine eh, Mr. Khan?"

"Zo.."

" So, why now Mr. Khan? Especially when it is Tannu I'm accusing. How did you start trusting me all of a sudden?"

"I trust you because I lo..because I know now that you are the kind of person that won't hurt or question anyone without a reason. That you have everyone's happiness at the forefront more than yours."

"So out of your suddenly gained knowledge about the kind of person I am, you say that you trust me when I say Tanveer is lying. But, what next Mr. Khan?"

"I'm not saying that Tannu is wrong. But I'll give you the benefit of doubt. I can't question Tannu until you can prove that there is something really wrong. So I'm asking you to give me that one proof that will make your guess right. But more than that I want you to be careful while doing it. No getting into serious trouble."

"Mr. Khan there is nothing in this world that Zoya Farooqui can't do. You leave the matter to me. I'll take care of it. You will not regret trusting me, Mr. Khan."

"Alright then Ms. Farooqui. And one more thing, don't let anyone know that we spoke about this. If you get any proof bring it straight to me, alright? No confronting Tannu directly. If you are wrong, then we need not hurt her. If you are right I don't want you in any kind of danger or trouble. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes Mr. Khan."

Zoya was disturbed from her thoughts by the loud honking of a passing car. She turned towards Asad who was driving the car with great concentration.

"You know what Mr. Khan; you are changing from your akdu ways. Isn't that great?"

"Ms. Farooqui!"

"I mean it Mr. Khan. Initially you never gave me a chance to explain but now you are giving me a chance to prove myself. I wonder what brought about the change. Whatever it is, it is changing you for good Mr. Khan. What is it Mr. Khan? I'm curious to know."

"Woh.. Actually.."

"Not again. I can understand if you don't wanna share."

Before he could reply they reached home.

Zoya Farooqui went to bed that night with a smile on her face, dreaming about her Not-so-akdu-now Ahmed Khan.

I hope I had satisfied atleast some of you. Asad won't just believe someone against Tannu, his best friend. Not even Zoya. But he also knows that Zoya doesn't blame someone for namesake. So he gave her a chance to prove herself. He trusts her enough to give her the benefit of doubt. I hope I did right. Also no cliff hanger this time.😃
