Part-3

"Asad?"

Asad looked into her eyes asking him a hundred questions. He was overcome with his love for her. Gently cupping her cheeks in his hands, he planted a soft kiss on her forehead. Zoya felt her knees turn into jelly. She held on to his strong shoulders for support. Asad buried his face in her silky hair and inhaled her strawberry scent.

"Asad?"

"Hmmm..."

They heard footsteps on the stairs and the terrace door opening. Zoya tried to move away from him but Asad held on to her hands. Zoya felt her cheeks go red. They watched the caretaker place refreshments on the table and leave. Asad turned towards Zoya and pulled her to him.

Tanveer was pacing around in her room thinking about the happenings of the day. She thought about Zoya and how she had tried exposing her in front of Asad.

"That kambakht Zoya. She is trying to mess with my plans. She has started doubting about me and I should not let it carry on. I have to deal with her soon. Every time I try to kill her someone is saving her."

"I have to create misunderstandings between Asad and Zoya. That is not tough though. That fool always does stupid things to irritate Jammy. But still he loves her. I have to make sure that she does not know about his feelings. I have to stop the nikah even if I have to use my last trump card."

"Asad is mine. I'll marry him and teach Razia a lesson. How dare she talk about me that way? Wait and watch Razia bi. I'll destroy your family for what you did to me."

She looked at the clock and decided to call Asad and start her next plan.

Zoya stumbled at the force of his pull and fell in his arms. She looked up at him startled by his behaviour. He never behaves this way and what has happened to him all of a sudden. Asad looked at all the emotions crossing her face, surprise, confusion, intent.

"Mr. Khan?"

"Zoya, I..."

Suddenly his phone started ringing. He tried to ignore it but Zoya tried to wriggle out of his arms. Asad held on to her tightly. Zoya looked at him surprised.

"Mr. Khan, your phone is ringing."

"Let it ring."

"It may be phuphi or your Tannu, Mr. Khan."

Asad glared at her and took the mobile phone out of his coat pocket in one hand while still holding Zoya tightly with the other hand. He picked up the call and spoke to his assistant. When he cut the call he turned towards Zoya and asked

"What is with calling her my Tannu? Jealous?"

"Jealous my foot. By the way what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?"

"It's about Tannu"

"Look Mr. Khan, if you want me to stay away from her then save your breath. I won't. There is something strange about her and I won't rest until I find out what. I will not let her hurt you Mr. Khan. Any..."

Zoya looked up at Asad, shocked, when she heard what he said.
