For the kind of BG that Gul has written for Zoya she isn't living up to it at all.

yes i agree with u. but i just gave a general eg. there numerous such egs.. well we can only debate n deliberate... as we r doing now.. nothing can change d typical mindset n perception of d society.. n tv is just another medium of showcasing n reflecting societal indicators. ofcourse there are rare exceptions where a female voice stood up n spoke for herself.. but then that's another issue altogether.

I don't mind the way Asad is, in reality such men do exist and initially QH was about a orthodox, disciplined, traditional young man and a free spirited, feisty, liberal young woman, how they accept each other and bring changes(positive) in each other's life. What I am missing is the feisty young woman who has become a total dumb, the girl who had strong sixth sense or practical approach(mangalpur, post-Dilshi shooting) has lost it all, the emotion of love has totally changed her character.
I agree in reality love effects us, our thinking capability that too if we are confused about the feelings of the guy we love but it doesn't make us loose our original character or identity completely, we don't take a 180 degree turn. It's totally unrealistic that being in love changes you to the extent that you loose your original traits and become someone else, love does brings out some changes in our traits but doesn't change us, doesn't change what we are.
It's time Gul gets back the real Zoya whom I fell in love, Zoya who was strong enough to stand for herself yet vulnerable at some point, who had her own mind yet cared for others, who called a spade a spade yet respected people around her, i want that Zoya whom a majority of ordinary girls like me could relate.

WORD

Really you've just like read my mind.

Pity it's women who enjoy these book. Let's all pray for humanity. 😆

Come let us join hands and pray 😆

Can somebody kill the editor and publishing house who released those books?

Rather than developing the characters and moving the story forward all Gul is showing is repetitive dialogues and eye lock scenes that are not vital to the story. I am with the opinion that Zoya needs to stand up for herself.Once she stands up for herself Asad's character will automatically have to be shown changing and learning to respect and accept Zoya the way she is.

The eye sex will lose it's appeal soon enough. And I really like QH so I don't want it to come to that point at all.

Zoya was one character which was spunky, brave, self-respecting, progressing and yet caring, understanding, innocent and rooted. She fights back to injustice and wrongdoings. In her first encounter she gives it back to Mr KHan without any fear. All her initial encounters showed her as a person with high self-esteem and who did not take any insults from anyone. But now all that has been lost, she is tongue tied, submissive and turning into a doormat. She keeps absorbing everything like a sponge and the inflow never stops🤢🤢. The transformation is radical and unjustified. Now she seems to be the typical bahu of the forerunner of TV soaps, who mercifully have changed themselves and moved to being more contemporary.

Asad was shown to be a man of principles, values and respectful of others, someone who uphelds relationships and justice. And yes a smart and sauve businessman. He never raises his voice in front of his mother and regards her highly. But as the show progressed for whatever ridiculous reasons-the Story writers started to ruin the basic characteristics of these actors. Asad starts to say mean things, yells in front of his mother, argues with her against his father, gets him arrested etc and is increasing rude and says cruel words to her like you don't deserve mother, family, misfit, clumsy, unreliable and so on. He had even slapped her!! Difficult to believe since Dilshad comes across as a very sensitive woman who would not rear a child who hits others. A person who underwent pain as child would understand the pain of others more rather than being harsh and rude. The way he dealt with Haseena bi and her brother has turned into a simpleton. He has infact lost his business acumen and turning into a naivet and gullible. He is becoming a trickster's delight😆😆.

Worst is everything is justified in the name of Mitwa, Eyelocks and trippings. Is that how women really feel? Can they forgive the hurt and pain?

I wouldn't hold out much hope for the return of Zoya. I dread the day AsYa get married and we will be forced to watch Zoe in salwars and sarees like a good tehzeebwali woman 🤢

I actually have to question the entire premise of Gul's characterization of Zoya. Does she truly believe that just because she has her lead female character in jeans she is modern? It's almost like Gul is using that as a cover saying - "Hey look Zoe is modern she wears jeans and shirts, so don't worry about her being a doormat to Asad"

yeah.. u r right dat d sadism was shared by both d parties. true.. but what i felt always n still feel everytime when i see such overpowering n overbearing male characters in soaps, films, books etc.. is that d women r mostly viewed by them as a carnal creature.. mainly.. d physicality makes a lion's share in d overall characterisation of any woman character...mainly d female leads i mean to say.d physical traits r given an obvious more than enough unnecessary footage..d other qualities/traits become secondary always. don't u think so?

because that's what pulled me towards QH and made me love this show, I am very much like that and i could totally relate and understand, reason out each and every step Zoya took but recently I am failing to do so, I just can't understand what she is thinking or what she is doing.
I don't expect Zoya to be upright aggressive, arrogant, just want her to be a lively, spirited strong girl with her set of principles to which she stands up and never lets anyone to walk over her.

That pretty much sums up everything. And all the problems I have with QH.

You know in a story we should have character development, but here we just go in the negative.

Instead of having a more open minded Asad and a more understanding Zoya, we have gone to a unreasonable Asad and a mellow Zoya.
