If that's how Zoya is written like you say and it's not really a bad plot point, well I'm sure I won't continue watching QH for all that long.

To me Zoya's character is very mellow, she wasn't that way. And I don't like mellow characters at all.

I've said it before and I agree with you QH is a show which is going to gradually show the changes in Asad and Zoya but in the process I don't want Asad or Zoya to become so unrecognisable that I can't enjoy their romance which will come later.

that was just my assumption of what Zoya character might be going through. but even I agree! No girl would ever lose her self respect if the guy treats her like that. But then again Love makes you do all sorts of crazy stuff. Maybe they are showing Zoya in such a phase? (which kinda sucks)

i would actually love to see the old Zoya back too who stands up for herself. If they keep showing her as a miserable girl then what was the point of showing her character as such a strong and bold girl in the begining?

And now that i think of your last point you're absolutely right! I am really hoping Gul notices that she is butchering her characters. First Asad then Zoya.

haha!!! gud eg. 😛 well.. acording 2 me, bella never was a self-respecting woman ever! always a nagger! phewww!

I absolutely agree. I was just merely saying that the kinky sadism of this particular sexual act works in many permutations and combinations and EL James just distorted it.

Films and books (the chick lit ones) thrive on characterizing their male leads as hot, tall, well endowed etc because they seem to think that's what a woman wants to read...and unfortunately many do. Sex and lust is often confused for love and film makers and writers know this. Which is why books and shows today focus a lot on sex and less on a meaningful connection between the leads. While that is the American fiction problem, in India we have the opposite. There neither is a meaningful connection and scandalous behaviour post/pre marriage is restricted to eyelocks and trips and falls because of course that is how couples in love behave.

Nobody knows how to strike a balance.

And Stephenie Meyer said "Teenage girls can relate to twilight" 🤣 yeah! Like we all want to fall in love with Vampires and Kill ourselves by jumping off a cliff.

Pity it's women who enjoy these books. Let's all pray for humanity. 😆

That pretty much sums up everything. And all the problems I have with QH.

You know in a story we should have character development, but here we just go in the negative.

Instead of having a more open minded Asad and a more understanding Zoya, we have gone to a unreasonable Asad and a mellow Zoya.

Thanks. I guess most people have similar issues with the ruining of original characters. Rightly said, instead of developing Asad into more progressive and Zoya into more mature, all they have done is ruined both them and created a mess. A third character-Tanveer is now driving the story😆😆 who initially had no motive to marry Asad!😕😆😆 but suddenly she feels HE is the one!!😲😆😆😆

The women too. Once the audience is attached to the actress it's almost like all stupidity portrayed by the character is forgivable and justified. It's a tv gimmick and unfortunately it works on the common masses.

This actually makes me dislike her. In reality also girls fall for a handsome hot guy and try to sacrifice a lot even if he is dominating or less respectful to them. I don't say sacrificing in a relationship is wrong, it's one of the things keeps relationship stronger but there is a sensibility as to where to sacrifice and whether our sacrifice brings out any positive things. I have seen such girls in my college life and always felt bad for them, sometimes tried to lecture them and be a bad girl in the eyes of their so called boy friends😆

Oh it annoys me too. As someone who is in a committed relationship - yeah there are things I compromise on but I sure as hell don't go "yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir". A relationship between a couple should be that of equals. My boyfriend is my best friend, my enemy when i need him to be and sometimes just the person I want peace and quiet with.

A problem with the boyfriend/girlfriend concept in India and sometimes in the west is - people are in relationships because it's the in thing or cool or whatever which is the absolute worst reason to get involved. But i guess that comes with maturity. Who knows?
