@bold - take Haseena Bi for instance. Women like her unfortunately do exist. In fact there are many with the same regressive thinking around here ( i'll keep here vague 😃) The idea that a woman can't, drink, dance, date, sing...like what the hell is wrong with these women?? I was recently reading a TOI article where a woman made a statement saying - "Pre-marital sex should be made punishable by law" What are we the Taliban? 😲 What the eff? Like superwoman says, brown people don't have sex 😆 It's such a taboo and one can say that is the reason why there are so many rape cases.

Even post the Delhi Rape how many women made statements questioning what the victim was doing out at that time of night. Like are you freakin kidding me?I despise people like that. HATE them.

Sometimes I wish shows would show these women being incarcerated. They are honestly disgusting. On this very forum people make statements saying that Zoe is wearing full sleeve shirts so it's not indecent. Do they mean to say sleeveless shirts, shorts and skirts are?What is indecency? How do you define it? It's each to his/her own. A woman should be able to dress however she wants without perverted men taking advantage.

It's kinna scary. I think TV, women, mean and society in general need a mind set change. If we as women can't respect other women and ourselves what hope do we have of men doing it?

I think for me - Zoya being a character from NY I expect her to be more spunky and the sort who can yell back instead of just standing there and listening to all Asad has to dish out. WORD.

I think Gul should do a bit of both i.e make Asad progressive and Zoya demand respect, but if I were to pick a side, then I'd say its up to Zoya to demand it. Not just from Asad, but from anyone who demeans her as a woman or insults her in a manner that shouldnt happen.

The reason? because, here, Asad is disrespecting Zoya and its up to her to decide what she wants to do about it! I dont watch al the epis, but as far as I can think, he isnt like that w/ Dilshaad, Najma or even Tanveer. So its just Zoya. The ball is in her court. Should she be blinded by atttaction, love, Mitwaaa, to ignore those insults and blatant mistrust? Nope.

Forget Asad, romance, sex, think of the times, she has been disrespected by society women for wearing jeans. someone else had to defend her. I'd say, from the get go (again, not watched all the epis), Zoya wasnt written to be the woman, who'd ask someone something, or even demand anything for herself.. (and I am not speaking all those times, she took help:P) and now that she is in "love" its worse.

The problem with Khushi, Zoya, is that they loose their fire the minute they fall in love. Then, they are simply shown to accept the BS (not the man :P) thrown at them. Still, Zoya is better written than Khushi, and is shown to be wanting apologies. But she needs to be shown demanding respect and being more aggressive in defending themselves.
