On topic, I agree that they are taking The Proposal idea but like Laila said, The Proposal was not an original movie by itself. There have been many shows even in US and in other countries which have used this storyline. Some have copied it far more than QH has.
I wouldn't call it Plagiarism because QH has only taken the small idea of having them pose as a fake couple and get to go under a test, This type of track has been used many times in shows.
The Proposal had more to the story than just that. Now if they had copied even the dialouges and the entire storyline of The Proposal then I would agree.

Plagiarism are movies like Partner which was an obvious rip off of the american movie Hitch, I can give more examples but its 5 am in the morning here, I haven't slept and my brain ain't functioning properly 😆

Well as others said...This has been done before. Sooo with your reasoning...maybe the producers of shows before "The Propsal" should sue THEM for stealing their idea right?

I am a grad student and edit essays/papers because I am a TA. I am not doubting your understanding of it but if Gul and company wrote this, I and my professor would fail them and report them to the academic discipline committee because this is plagiarism.

Like everyone else said before me the whole marraige for visa idea has been used countless times and unless they head to Alaska and a Betty White look alike shows up I think 4 lions is safe from being sued. 😃

Then you may not have been in this forum for very long, I started supporting this show from the start when a lot of IPK fans really hated it. I like the show but I don't have to fawn over everything they do.

I've been here since January I believe so I'm guessing that I missed all the support that you gave to Qubool Hai.
Im not saying you have to fawn over it...Not everybody is like most of us on this forum. But as of recently, I've only seen sarcastic posts where you just emphasize on the things that you don't like. Maybe if we saw posts on whats good about the show also, people wouldn't get so riled up. I'm sure you cant say there isn't at least a few good things about it.

@ Marybarton: I can understand what you mean. But again, I don't think something is plagarism unless it is STOLEN word for word and exactly. Hence when we are taught writing in school since young age we are always taught to either give credit, or rephrase something. I think Gul is rephrasing in her own twist. As for the questions scene, that happened in the office in the Proposal and the Q and A's deviate from the original too. Idk.. i guess its your opinion, and cant do anything about that. You have every right to state how you feel, but that being said our opinions should also be understood when we say that we do not think this is plagarism.

If any sue-ing is to happen, why should we be tensed over it anyways, yaar? 🤣 Yeh Gul ki problem hai. Why are we becoming the moral police anyways...😆 😳 Whatever happens or has to happen is between Gul and Sandra Bullock 🤣 .. Chill Maaro yaar 🤗 Sit back and enjoy!

Since when are people not allowed to post things they don't like? One or a few times in a series? I don't see why people have to be praising or balancing out their posts with random positive posts to appease the readers. I post whatever stands out to me. The video is just one example of a positive post. I saw it online and posted it because it stood out.

I don't think I have been disrespectful of any view to the contrary though. I am just stating from my own assessment.
