~Chapter 3~

Dilshad just could not believe what she heard. Her eyes became misty. Right now she is not seeing Zoya in front of her but she is seeing the reflection of her own heart and soul. That is what exactly Dilshad was 17 years ago when Rashid left her. When Rashid told her about his decision, she felt her entire world stopped spinning. She totally broke down and cursed her fate. But she decided to be strong for her children and moved on with her life. That is what exactly Zoya is up to now. Dilshad knows very well about the feeling of seeing the person that one love with someone else. She has been experiencing that pain for the past 17 years. People say time is the best medicine for any wounded heart but in her case it was wrong. Even until now she could not see Rashid in any trouble and she can feel his pain. Although Rashid left her, everyday her heart whispers to her that she didn't fall in love with the wrong person.

She slowly wiped her tear and realized that God made her to overhear the conversation of this innocent girl with her mother for some reasons. Yes.. She need to help Zoya and of course Asad. In fact, Asad requires relatively a greater help because Zoya is aware that she is in love with her Mr.Khan but her son is running away from the reality. From the beginning, she knew that God is storing something special for Asad and Zoya. Both of them complement each other very well: Only Zoya can handle Asad's extreme anger and can bring him out from his black and bitter world while only Asad can be Zoya's knight and there is no one in this world to substitute Asad's place. Dilshad also knew that Asad never believed in love and he just wanted to marry a girl who is well mannered, who has great respect for culture, traditional, quiet and elegant just to full fill his ammi's wish. But, everybody in this world falls in love and Asad has fallen for Zoya very long time ago. She saw a totally different Asad after his return from Mangalpur. Asad has set many principles in his life and follows them strictly and one of such principle is that he can never love a girl. He is letting his mind to rule himself and that is what makes him to deny the reality.

All this while Dilshad was silently watching the development in the relationship between her son and Zoya but she can't be just the spectator of this love story anymore. She needs to help them. She need to make Zoya realize that she is not in love with the wrong person and she need to help Asad to accept the reality. And she knew she can't do this alone and she definitely needs Najma's help. Tomorrow she will explain everything to Najma and definitely her daughter will be very happy. In fact, both the mother and daughter have gossiped about Asad and Zoya many times. She just could not stop smiling when she thought of her mission and her team. With that smile she went and sat beside Zoya.

"Phuppi.. Aap? " Zoya was shocked. How if she heard me talking to my ammi? Zoya became restless now.

Dilshad understood the reason behind Zoya's uneasiness.

"I just saw you sitting here alone Zoya.. And u have not taken ur dinner right? That's why I made this Hot Chocolate for u" said Dilshad calmly.

"Oh.. That's so sweet of you phuppi.. Thank u" Zoya took the mug from Dilshad with her signature smile. Zoya was relieved completely thinking that her phuppi didn't hear whatever she told her ammi.

Dilshad was just amazed. How come this girl has the ability to hide so much of pain behind her smile? And Dilshad was shocked when she looked at Zoya's eyes. It clearly shows those pain that Dilshad and may be many other people out there are bearing: The pain of seeing the person you love with someone else. Dilshad knew exactly what she needs to now: She needs to clear Zoya's misunderstanding regarding her Mr Khan's relationship with Tanveer.

"Zoya, Tanveer will stay in this house for some time"

"Tanveer? Is that the girl came here this morning phuppi?" Zoya tried her level best to be normal when she said this.

"Yeah.. She has some works to do in Bhopal.. She is actually Asad's childhood friend.. Both of them were very close last time.. Her family was our next door..10 years ago her family moved out from Bhopal and after that Asad only met her today morning.. At the accident spot"

Zoya suddenly felt something heavy has been lifted away from her heart. "So, she is just his friend.. Of course I would have hugged my best friend if I see him in that condition.. But wait.. Why am I justifying what Mr Khan did today morning? The fact is Mr Khan will never ever love me.. So, whether the girl is just his friend or something more than that doesn't matter at all.. Whatever Mr Khan is doing for me is because he cares for his GUEST.. I better register this fact very clearly in my mind" Zoya's train of thought stopped when she heard her phuppi's voice.

"Zoya, I hope you don't mind to have Tanveer around for some time"

"Of course I don't mind at all phuppi.. You know what?? I thought Mr Khan never had any friends in his life.. It is 8^th wonder of the world to know Mr Khan has a childhood best friend"

Both Dilshad and Zoya burst into laughter when Zoya said that. After that, there was silence for some time. Zoya drank her hot chocolate while Dilshad just looked at her will so much of concern.

"Zoya, I owe u millions of thanks, dear" Dilshad said with a smile on her face while caressing Zoya'shair slowly.

"Thanks? Why phuppi" Zoya asked in a surprise tone.

"For the great help you did today.. For stopping Asad from reaching the court" Dilshad sighed and continued. "Rashid still didn't get a bail but the hearing session is postponed for two weeks.. I really hope I can find the doll or any other prove to help Rashid.. Thank you so much Zoya" Dilshad's eyes expressed so much of gratitude while saying that.

"Come on phuppi.. I'm not a stranger to you.. Then why are you thanking me?? It is my responsibility to help you phuppi.. I know my phuppi's instinction will never go wrong.. I don't know about others but I'll forever be on your side until we prove that Rashid uncle is inccocent"

Dilshad was extremely overwhelmed and speechless when she thought that Zoya has actually pushed away her main mission for coming to India just to help her. More than that, Zoya believes in her when her own son failed to do that. Tears of gratitude began to form in Dilshad's eyes.

"Thank u Zoya.. Thank u very much for believing in me" Dilshad hugged Zoya while saying that. She couldn control her tears.

"Phuppi, please don't cry.. We are with u phuppi.. I just can't see u in tears.. You know what phuppi? Every time u talked to me, I feel as if I am talking to my mother.. Every time you hug me, I feel the solace which I found in my mother's embrace.. You just remind me of my mother in many ways phuppi.. How come I can let u to feel sad?"

While still hugging and caressing Zoya's hair gently, Dilshad looked up at the stars and spoke to Zoya's ammi silently.

"Thank you for giving birth to this wonderful angel.. May be you are not here with her to see how she is lighting up every place she visits and every soul she meets but I'm sure you are there and showering her with your blessings.. Your blessing is what she needs to face every hurdle in her life.. Your daughter is very hurt now thinking that she will never be loved back by her Mr Khan.. But her sadness is just temporary.. Very soon she will tell you that her Mr Khan loves unconditionally and she is not in love with the wrong person.. This is a promise of a mother to a mother"

When Dilshad said that, a star twinkled and Dilshad smiled.

"Its getting late Zoya, Lets go inside"

"Ok phuppi"

Zoya looked up at the sky and smiled at her ammi before heading inside the house.

At the living room,

"Zoya, are the bruises still hurting?"

"No phuppi.. I've applied medicines on the bruises ready.. I just hope they will not leave any funny marks on my face.. But Phuppi, I need painkillers.. My headache is seriously bothering me"

"I have kept few stripes of painkillers in your room Zoya.. Come, I'll get them for you"

When Zoya opened the door of her room, both ladies were shocked to see the person inside.

"Asad?"

"Mr Khan?"
