~Chapter 1~
Asad Ahmed Khan's mansion is now devoid of peace and harmony ever since the arrest of his father. For him, Mr Rashid Ahmad Khan is only his biological father and nothing more than that. He hated his father to an extreme which can never be explained by words. Asad's childhood was filled with sufferings and hardship because of that man. At a very young age, he had the responsibility to look after his incomplete family. But he could never forgive that man for the fact the he was the sole reason for all the tears his ammi has been shredding all these while. Ever since some truths about the conspiracy behind the mysterious Doll factory were out, Asad hated that man even more and disgusted to acknowledge him as his father.
The woman who loved him, nurtured him and taught him everything about life slapped him and stopped talking to him after knowing that he is the reason for her husband's current sufferings. Rashid may have left Dilshad 17 years ago but she knew that he didn do it willingly and she knew how much he loves her and her children. She couldn bear Asad's anger and hatred towards Rashid and she lost all her control when she got to know that her own son filed a case against his father.
Currently, the Khan's mansion is witnessing a strong fight between a mother and a son. Dilshad is fighting with all her strengths to prove the innocence of her husband while Asad is fighting to prove his mother that he is just supporting the truth. The Khan's mansion has witnessed many things before this. It has seen the responsibility, loneliness and black and bitter world of Asad. It has seen the silent tears of Dilshad and the smile she wears to camouflage her innermost hurtness and also the longing of an innocent daughter for the love of her father.
One day, Zoya Farooqi entered the house and gave it a life. God blessed her with a special ability to read the pain in people's eyes. She understood her phoopi's pain and many times she helped her to come out from all those sufferings. She became Najma's BFF and Najma received a sister's love from her. Her relationship with Asad is very difficult to describe. She hates him for his judgmental and chauvinistic behavior, bitter words and arrogance while for Asad she is just another synonym for trouble. He considered her as both trouble maker and trouble magnet. For Asad, Zoya is a bad example for all girls. But, there is something between both of them.. something which cannot be explained by words. Whatever happened in Mangalpur taught them that their relationship is more than a relationship between a host and a guest. Asad could feel Zoya's pain and Zoya just could not see her Jahanpanah in any emotional injury..
While a strong battle is going on between Dilshad and Asad, the girl who brought sunshine into the Khan's mansion is sitting on a bench, starring at the stars and shredding countless tears. Why?
